O yeah! This is for the one that didn't work two days ago. And it's amazing that the majority of OzBargainers are sleeping now so it'll be a smooth shopping experience and plenty of sizes and choices. :D

  • How to use the price checker site? Always got 404 error

  • +8

    That price inflation is real.

    • +2

They learned from the best, eBay sellers.

    • I know that's common, but is it legal?

      • Why would be illegal? It's free market economy.

        • +14

Because it would fall under misleading and deceptive conduct under the Australian Consumer and Competition Law. You can't inflate the price of something by 20%, and then reduce it by 20% and advertise it as 20% off because they net each other off. In the end, you are paying for it at its original price while the company is supposedly having 20% of items; that's blatantly misleading and deceptive.

        • +7

It is illegal in Australia. Kogan was fined for doing it a year or so ago.

        • +3

@18: OzBargainers endorse that behaviour though. Hence why those eBay pricejacking deals always get hundreds of positive votes.

ALERT: Try searching items on your mobile. Prices have not been jacked on mobile based on my searching compared to desktop

    • I had 8 items in my saved for a couple of weeks now, none of them have went up in prices. They are however all ASOS branded items.

    • noticed this too.

I was shopping before the frenzy code sale and jeans on sale we're nice prices and I said to myself: "Ill wait for the frenzy code" and went back to the jeans I wanted and it jacked up by $10. Still saved a bit but come on….

  • Hope my order goes through before they 'fix' this…. UNREAL savings.

  • +6

Price jack up for some of the items. Was $60 yesterday, and now it's $90.

    • +1

      $98.83 on mobile!

  • Anything good from ASOS?

  • Does anyone know whether we can apply this coupon code on multiple orders from the same account?

    • +2

You can use ASOS coupons as many times during the promo period as you like. You just can't stack multiple coupons, that's all.

Thx op, got me a pair of NMD was $270 brought it down to $189 delivered :)

    • +1

Contemplating getting a pair of NMDs but I just ordered the Flyknit Racer from the other day.

      • +2

The shoe addiction is real :(

    • You could've got it $130 from size.co.uk

  • Thanks OP, bought a fossil smartwatch and posted as a separate deal

    But i forgot cashrewards :(

  • jacked up

  • +1

Is there any way to check on how much the price has been jacked up to? Thanks

    • +1

All i know of is this site which compares prices across the various asos international sites. its been posted here before:
      http://www.codesium.com/asos-price-checker/

      • +1

I just checked www.pricehipster.com and they seem to be able to check previous prices on ASOS items. I've gone through my saved list and none of the prices have been jacked up. (Most of them are branded)

  • Is anyone able to add items to their basket?

    • i ordered something from the France version with pound currency.

      • Eventually got it working, just had to keep refreshing the page until it would add items.

  • +4

I was about to re-order some clothes I bought on the weekend. Just realised they have upped thier prices. The dress I got for 53$ is now listed as 89$!

    • Can I ask what item it is? Just want to double check it with www.pricehipster.com to make sure it is working.

      • Doesnt allow me to post a link. The dress is called Little Mistress Petite Lace Panelled Skater Dress

      • Theres another dress i got for 57. today the price is 96$

        • is 57 their original price or dropped price (in red)? if so they will jack it up (i.e. bring it to original price) when they have new stock..

  • +3

Such a low move to price jack and then have a "sale"

  • +4

$210 jacked to $270, no thanks.

  • +3

None of the prices changed on the ASOS branded products I had saved, I think it’s probably just the other items that they’d be running a loss at. Doesn’t make it ok but maybe something to think about. I only shop in the curve section if that helps.

    • have quite a few items in my save list, for none of them prices have been changed…

      • +2

Even stuff I don’t have saved but already own haven’t been jacked up tbh. All asos branded.

        • exactly the same with my recent buys, just some of them are already out of stock :)

    • same here, all my branded items still stay at same prices.

  • been eyeing a pair of shoes but they were 1/2 size too big. 30% off should be worth the falls and broken ankles. No price jacking for them and they were already on sale but probably the last stock.

    • +1

insole plus thicker socks would do.

  • Any idea how returns work if currency is changed? Can we still just return to Australia Post?

    • not sure about if currency is changed, but ive made lots of returns with them. just go through their returns tab on their website and make sure you keep your receipt that comes in the packaging with you so you can put in the details online. then you can either return via australia post our a parcel location, something like that

    • Yes you can
They refund you in the currency you paid for it in

  • I had my cart saved on 11 of November when TA's code didnt work. The total was $168 without any code. Now few items of my cart are out of stock and after putting FRENZYGO code. The total is $228. I Dont think it is legal or marketing. It is a polished way of making others fool

    • you sure it was AUD168 and not GBP168? I'm asking because it comes to around your AUD228 when you convert 168 from GBP to AUD and then take 30% off that..

  • was going to buy something from them .. changed my mind now with all these reports of price jackings…

    • I am in the exact same boat! I was looking at Birkenstock or other stuff, and don't get me wrong I'm sure with % it's a good price, but the fact that they could have jacked the price - and I have no way of knowing (unless I've checked before) really annoys me. Judging from the previous comments, and from using it myself just now - the price checker website is helpful, but still doesn't show the history.

Might have to give it a miss. I was hoping Iconic would have the birkenstocks discounted, but unfortunately they don't.

      • You can always check prices on Price Hipster to see previous prices.

  • +1

I saved a few things I was looking at last week. None of them were price jacked (ASOS brand + River Island)

  • I have $48 worth of goods in my basket but it is still charging me $5 shopping fee.
The discount brings the total down to $33.60 excl. shipping. Does that mean the free shipping is based on the discounted total?

    • +3

I'm pretty sure it is based on the final amount (discounted) in the cart. Just add any item to the order and if you do not like it / do not need it by the end, just return it for free

  • do you know how long this 30% off promo?

    • +1

      It's in the post.

      16 Nov 4:00am 2 days left

      • oops sorry I missed it, thank you!

      • +1

That's not correct, on the ASOS website, it ends 4am 15th i.e. late tonight, so better do your order now

        • +3

They’ve extended it to 16 November at 4am AEDT.

    • sooner the better before things go out of stock!

  • Great stuff asos!

  • Thanks OP bought suit pants and belt

  • have place an order last night. No price jacking on them.

  • All right, I didnt check all countries with different currency, but change the country to US and use GBP would be the cheapest price so far I could find.
