    Loch Ness Monster Design Ladle

I'm waiting for a good deal on the Yeti one.

    • +2

      get your Yeti

      • +3

        They look abominable

Don't support Chinese IP theft. The original is by a company called OTOTO

    • -1

It's hard not to when the original costs $16 and this costs $0.90

      • +2

        It's hard not to

I think I can live without buying this.

        • +3

Me too, but if I was going to buy one it wouldn't be the $16 version.

    • +2

The other side of the coin would be that these probably come out of the same factory as OTOTO and yet they can make decent profit from selling them for just 0.90$. Makes you wonder how much OTOTO marks up their prices…

    • The best I can do is tree fiddy

  • It is not the The Loch Ness Monster from Loch Ness, it is just a ladle with cute design.

    Lucky. I was briefly terrified.

  • +2

i think works for blue only

    • Wanted the rose ones, ahh well.

    • Thanks. Post updated.

      • Loch has gone.

  • Bargain…

…at only 76¢ cheaper than prices on eBay

    • +1

      I'm pretty sure they're asking for $3.50.

      • $3.50 is RRP

      • I went to Scotland at the start of the year. Instead of buying 'gifts' for coworkers etc over there I bought a heaps of these from Ebay and gave them out when I got back.
I recon they were 4x for $2.80. .. Yes they are rubbish..but obligation met.

      • +1

I'm glad someone made this reference

  • +1

These ones don't stand very well.

  • +1

That's the wifes Christmas gift sorted.

    • +1

This year only? Or did you get 2x per the deal to have one for next year's xmas pressy?

      • +3

She will probably divorce me so I'll just get the 1.

I don't trust these Chinese plastics in a hot pot.

    • The ones in your kitchen are probably made in China too.

      • +1

The originals aren't worth $20 but they're made from nylon which has a melting point that's nearly double of these copies. These ones have a listed heat resistance of 140C so it's likely made from polypyrene the other commonly used plastic for kitchen utensils.

I'm guessing these would get wobbly when used for a hot pot.

    • Chinese metal?

  • Expired :(

    • Oh I wonder how my post was marked expired!? There was no option to enter quantity.

      • Thanks for arranging the deal! Gearbest is reporting code as expired. Will more stock be made available?

        • +1

I'll ask for you no worries.

          @sky blu: Thank you!! :)

  • +1

Really cute design. Might be wrong but I've seen it called nessie the ladle.
The only downside I've found is that it isn't that practical in my experiences when cooking and serving food as the material is bit soft.

  • More!!!

  • +2

Now this deal is over, I found the same thing cheaper on eBay: $1.66 delivered, choice of 3 colours: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nessie-Soup-Ladle-Dinosaur-Spoon…

    • +1

      That's the spirit!
