1120
PING20

Better than the recently posted deals, and offering a 2-year warranty with a reputable mobile service provider. Confirmed via amaysim Live Chat that this is their official eBay store, and they are partnered with eBay.

Warranty is provided by Amaysim for the Direct Import models.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus $788 (grey/blue) $780 (gold) $796 (black) $804 (pink) (Select 'Direct Import' Model) BACK IN STOCK OUT OF STOCK AGAIN

Samsung Galaxy S8 $708 (black) $716 (all other colours) $724 (Select 'Direct Import' Model)
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 $1004 $948 $940 $956 (black), $940 $932 $948 (all other colours) (Select 'Direct Import' Model)

Delivery dates for the imports are mid-December, but this is pretty standard. Here is the last amaysim deal to get an idea on their delivery times and item quality.

First time posting a deal, so please comment if I've left out any details.

EDIT: CODE IS NOW WORKING. YAY

EDIT 2: Prices have changed several times, listed here as of 21/11/2017 @ 10:55 AM. IMO, the S8, and most of the S8+ colours are no longer a value buy.

EDIT 3: Delivery estimates are pushing deeper into December, so take this into consideration when purchasing.

These are pretty standard prices for grey market in an ordinary sale, but the 2-year warranty makes it interesting.

That being said, there is AU stock currently floating about for this price. If you think this is a deal, publish it.

      • Thanks, i was not sure if that was price for local one's as well. Thought to let you decide if that worth being added than new post.

        • +1

I reckon I'm burying the lead a bit as it is with 3 Samsung phones, probably needs a separate post.

Google Pixel XL 32GB for $644

It's $40 cheaper than the Mymobile_store eBay deal from a month ago and it has the amaysim 2-year warranty. Seems like a good deal as well, am I missing something?

    • I'm not running an ad for the entire amaysim ebay store here. :P

      • +1

Just surprised nobody else has mentioned it, there was a fair bit of interest in the Pixel XL deal a month ago and this one looks quite a bit better.

  • AU stock cheaper in the link below:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-8-Midnight-Bl…

Wonder if it is actually genuine

Yep it is now saying >10 available so OP should update title

The Note 8 is now $10 cheaper (after discount $8 cheaper).
    Midnight Black/ Maple Gold => $940
    Rose Pink/Orchid Grey => $932

  • +1

Just bought one Midnight Black $708 not bad price although the est delivery is between 12th-29th December
Delivery seems quite long, are these shipments tracked ? as it just states standard delivery.

    • +1

I believe it is tracked and insured as per comment on some postes, otherwise it may open flood gates of claims.

  • Lol amaysim is just buymobile.com.au renamed google them and see the negative comments and experiences. It's just 1 guy in a office in Sydney with all the customers service agents from a online chat Helpdesk in Malaysia, good luck with the warranty too I just bought a s8+ and it was a used phone repackaged and the on screen navigation buttons were faulty and could only. Use the back button if I turned the phone on the side, sent it to there dodgy repair centre in nsw which they have had the device for 42days and are saying its due to it being dropped which didn't happen doesn't have any damage signs and have said cause the warranty is voided I no need. To deal with the repair shop directly which they want $152 for a out of warranty inspection fee and $420 repair fee for the phone, don't waste your money and buy a Australian version as I had enough issues with Samsung refuses to register the warranty not to mention Samsung pay wouldn't work due to. It. Being a different build number (United Arab emirates) model. And they don't even come with the snapdragon CPUs just shitty laggy xynos ones

    • A bit to unpack here:

      1. Thanks for the info about amaysim phone sales origins, that's worth looking into.

      2. You should always take a photo of damaged or tampered goods on arrival as evidence that it was a seller/delivery issue.

      3. That delay sucks, there's no way around that.

      4. Samsung Australia will not issue a warranty for an item purchased overseas; that's their policy, and the policy of many phone manufacturers, which is why Amaysim is responsible for the warranty.

      5. The Exynos SoC only really lags behind the Snapdragon in one particular area: battery drain during 3d rendering (games/VR). There are some other design decisions that were made that make them better than one or another in certain high-performance scenarios, but everyday use outside of gaming, the Exynos is pretty much king, save for a tiny bit of memory latency. It's actually built to maximise battery performance in everyday use, so it keeps processing threads on its power efficient cores for longer.

      Here's more on that: https://www.anandtech.com/show/11540/samsung-galaxy-s8-exyno…

If you desperately want a Snapdragon S8, hit up a US reseller on eBay when there's a site-wide code, or consider checking out another OLED phone with an S835.

On the warranty side of things, see what you can get from the ombudsman, but when you think a device has been tampered or damaged, it's really important to get on the front foot with photos and contacting the seller. Good luck!

  • Couldnt order the s8+ midnight black import model.

    Hi,
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide exact date of shipment, only an estimate and this item is estimated to be shipped between Dec. 14 and Jan 2. We have increased our handling time during the eBay promotional sale so that our warehouse can cope with the shipping volume.

  • Can someone clarify if this is similar to the other Amaysim deal where you can bring this to a local Amaysim store for warranty?

    • Yup, they've confirmed that this is their eBay store.

  • +2

Ordered s8 on 17th and been sent out by DHL yesterday. Will arrive in Perth on Monday.

  • Just got the phone (Note 8). Was very very surprised. 3 hrs later Ebay tracked it and said it was sent…
Confirmed to be HK stock it seems, I've just flashed XSA

  • Can anyone please let me know which country Samsung Note 8 Dual Sim Amaysim is sending. If anyone has received a Note 8 from Amaysim which country make and model is it.

    • You can just ask them via the store, or via the live chat on the amaysim website. They should be able to tell you the model at least (likely FD), and maybe the CSC as well.

  • Can anyone please let me know exactly which model of Note 8 they have received. I need to know the model no and the country of manufacture.

  • Ordered Samsung S8 on 18th Nov.. Arrived on 28th - 11 days transit time… Not bad thought i had to wait till middle of December
going to pick up later from parents house, will film when opening from box.

  • United Arab emirates s8 note and have issues with android pay plus other apps not being compatible as the Australian banks weren't supported

As for the handset for warranty issue it was sent back to me unrepaired after paying $128 for a voided warranty inspection fee, not to mention the fault is with the data strip digitiser which isnt affected by dropping which they claimed and have registered the void against the IMEI number.

You've tried step 1 (fault resolution), now you're onto step 2 (formal letter/manager escalation). As I said last time, sometimes these things happen, so best to escalate the problem and see if that shakes anything loose to reveal a problem in their procedures.

Are you saying that the MST component has stopped working? It is technically possible that dropping can cause this indirectly via allowing moisture into the phone if there's a large enough crack, or if you dropped it in water and cracked the phone at the same time, or just left it in water for longer than it's certification (IP68).

Regardless, the additional costs in parts and labour to finish the repair wouldn't be much more than what you paid, are you saying they didn't offer this?

As for your UAE software/Samsung Pay issues beyond MST, how did you attempt to flash the firmware? Did you use Odin? Any Australian firmware should be fine (unless you're interested in VoLTE support).
