  • Anyone got a manual link? Can’t seem the find it.

  • Only Sydney stores listed???

    • Change your location or turn it on.

  • I assume like in other offers Gift cards work. which is Chrissy sorted for the cuz's

    • Do they have gift cards?

      • Yup, I bought 2 x $50 Cotton On GCs from my local Typo store, emails came instantly. Next day, a single $40 credit appeared on my account. Nice of them to lump it together.

        • They can't be used online right?
Also, for the deal, Amex doesn't need it to be exactly $55+ in one transaction?

        • +2

@Fobsessive: No unfortunately the GCs can't be used online.
Regarding $55+, I think you're confusing it with free shipping. It's a min spend of $55 for free shipping.
The AmEx deal is to spend $50 and get $20, twice per card. So I spent $50 twice on one card and got 2 x $20 = $40 back as a statement credit

        • @MathNerd: Thanks, I did mix them up a little. What's the expiry on their gift cards?
Have you ever tried refunding their sale items in-store?

        • +2

@Fobsessive: It's a 12-month expiry on the GCs, plenty of time!
No I've never done refunds, I'm too shy to ask for refunds on these things :P

Thanks OP. The missus is addicted to Cotton On, Typo and Rubi, and our usual source of gift cards gives a discount but it's a physical card so postage is charged which eats into the discount.
This is perfect for that, solid 40% off.

  • Typo store seems limited 8n the drop down list. Could it be due to my location setting which it only shows nearby stores ?

  • Does it work on gift card or outlet stores?

    • want to know if working at outlet stores too, but i suspect it will work.

    • C. Transactions that are not eligible
The following transactions are not eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of
      the offer:
 transactions where you do not spend directly with the merchant (for example, if you buy the
      merchant’s goods through a third party department store);
       transactions processed through a third party payment processor (for example, PayPal);
       transactions that are subsequently cancelled or refunded;
 transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher

  • Cheers for the deal. Also from a look a Cotton On gift card is valid at all 3 stores so pretty good for presents. No free shipping over $55 on gift cards though, so will go in store.

  • Don't forget to combine with 20% off Unidays/newsletter discount and cash rewards! Hopefully they don't reduce the cash rewards from the current 10.4% due to this promo….

    • I wonder if it actually stacks!

    • Is this newsletter discount still available? Thanks

Scroll down to the bottom of Cotton On's homepage.

  • Thanks OP. I have been wanting to grab some active wear from Cotton On Body's new range so this works out great.

Can be used with this to get free shipping

Something to bear in mind, last time I used my Amex at Cotton On there was a surcharge (I think 3%).

    • Thanks for the headsup.

    • +1

Yes I remember that too, but with the recent legislation it should be gone (or non-existent), as Cotton On is a large multinational retailer who would've negotiated a much lower rate with AmEx than 3%. I don't even think some small businesses have a rate that high…

    • Actually, I remember seeing from an email communication from AmEx a while ago (end of September), they sent an email saying that their cards are now welcome at more places than ever.

They then gave this link: https://www.americanexpress.com/au/content/credit-cards/abou…

Choose "Fashion" from the drop down menu and you'll see Cotton On Group, or just type in "Cotton" into the search box.

Great news, so AmEx is confirming that Cotton On (and its subsidiaries) are now surcharge-free. Yay!

      • I don't think the site implies that they're surcharge free, just that they accept Amex.

I was in Factorie the other day (a Cotton On company) and they had a sign up that said that Amex and Diners Club attracted a 3% surcharge.

edit: It doesn't look like they charge a fee for Amex via the website. So you can order online and have it delivered or use click and collect.

  • Why valid in only some Cotton On stores?

    • Some Cotton On stores' terminals don't have a connection to the main AmEx servers of Head Office (this is what I was told, verbatim, at the Cranbourne Park Cotton On store).
However, there is a Typo at the same shopping centre and AmEx works there. Go figure. Anyway that's what they mean, some Cotton On stores only accept MC/VISA.

  • Hi I use bankwest, is it still possible to use this? I'm not too sure how this works.

    • +1

When you say you "use bankwest", what exactly do you mean?
For this offer to work, you must:
      1) Have an AmEx card (issued directly by AmEx or through a bank).
      2) Have the Cotton On Group: Spend $50 or more, get $20 back, up to 2 times offer saved to your card.
      3) Go to a Cotton On; Cotton On Kids; Cotton On Body; Typo or Rubi store, and spend $50 or more.
      4) You'll get a $20 statement credit.
      5) Repeat this once again for each card you have.
      6) Profit.

      • ah ok thank you i don't have the card.

        • No worries. Did you want to avail of the offer? I can help.

  • Did anyone manage to redeem twice successfully ? I managed to do it once but my 2nd one ; I still haven’t receive the confirmation :(

    • +1

I did it twice. From store split bills.

      • I have done so twice.

        No issues.

  • anyone willing to let me use their amex card? lol :')

    • Yea sure! For an online or in store order? Happy to help out.

  • Deal seems no longer available

  • Just got an email from cashrewards 10.5% cashback on top of their current sale.

Does anyone know if more than one transaction can be made to get to $55? Eg $30 online, $25 in-store?

  • For those who used this offer to purchase online plus go through CR, did you get your tracking emails? I haven't got a tracking email yet and starting to worry…

    • I have got it in less than a minute!

      • Ah, thanks for that. I'll follow it up then…

        • Yep got mine quickly too.
