$18.59 USD ($24.50 AU) with “DAFANGUS”

    • Wish I read this before buying 2.

  • Is this the cheapest its ever been?

Nope, US$16.99 at Geekbuying 10 days ago or so.

Code has now reached its limit for the Geekbuying, but was working a couple of days ago.

Oooh ok, thanks for letting me know :)

      • ugh that's why I don't like those posts with so much items in the OP. that would've been a great deal if it was posted separately.

        • twas singles day, everyone was paying USD$1 more on the gearbest deal at the time US$17.99 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/341370 and didn't want to disappoint the 81 voters or the 2000+ clickers on the $17.99 deal by announcing $US1 cheaper.

again, it was singles day - had other things on my mind.

Kind of the whole point of ozbargain really. Or you could look at it like you could've made more new buyers (or those that missed out) happy. I think considering how popular it was or has been, it would've been a good if it was in the title or highlighted in the OP at least. But anyways, no biggy. I already bought it at a higher price before anyway and still unopened.

Is it just me or do others also think "dafuq" when they see these?

    • I just add "What" to it!!!!

I grabbed one of these from a recent deal, I can't recommend it at all. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but the performance of it is garbage. Constant connection problems, even when it's right next to the router.

I think it's either faulty or you're doing something wrong :(

I had same issue for 2 weeks. It was poor connection drop off all the time. They updated few days ago and fixed problem.

Server for this one is very poor. Don't be a fool with "moving" option. Xiaomi's other IP cameras without the "moving" option are much better server status.

    • This is the only XM camera that I am aware of that supports direct wifi connection to the camera from your smart phone running the Mi Home app. If you have no need for remote access/alert and simply want to access it locally this setup will be a good option.

      • I could not find that kind of option where is that option? Even if it has it, it is IP CAM not baby monitor for same network. And there are so many people complaining about its poor connection even in the same network.

        • On Android, you will need to be running at least MiHome 4.2.5 (but try not to update to V5.x as that has a different UI) with Plugin version 1.7.34 for the Dafang device. You also need to update your Dafang firmware to at least 5.5.1.200. Unfortunately, to do all this you first need to connect the device to the internet.
Once this is all done, you will find the "Mobile direct connection" option under Camera Settings (last item on the list). This will provide you with the steps needed to reset the Dafang and set it up for direct wifi connection with your smart phone.
          Hope this helps.
