  • Also don't forget to mentioned this can be combined with Amex deal for further savings.

  • XPS still probably better value at this price range.

    • +1

And it comes with a keyboard too…

      • +4

Compared to the Surface Laptop, yes.
Surface Pro is a 2in1, more versatile ND basically different product.

    • +3

They aren't completely comparable, to get something more directly comparable you'd need the XPS 13 2-in-1 and they start at around $1800. Making the sub $1000 Surface a much closer race. Even the cheapest XPS 13 is about $1500

  • +1

    Are these 8th gen processors?

    • 7th gen

    • +2

The I7 Microsoft Surface Book 2's have 8th gen Intel CPU's . The (New Version) in the title is definitely a bit misleading .

  • wow so: Microsoft Surface Pro m3/4GB/128GB - Newest Version $958
if using 2x amex split payment means nett only $758?

how come they can sell cheaper than microsoft store? (at $958 before amex)

Amazon must be launching today. Quick drop all the prices!

Is that the surface pro lte? That’s the newest version but can’t find info on it.

    • -4

      wtf?!

guy advertises new version…. nothign about LTE in the website, but yep lets neg.

bloody OZB , this is why democracy dosnt work, you give equal power to all

      • +1

The negs you got were most likely in response to the neg that you gave to the deal that has now been revoked.

        • i know what it was for, the title is misleading but the sheep dont understand, its the CURRENT version, not the NEWEST.

        • +5

          @T1OOO:

          the title is misleading

You don't neg deals for misleading titles, you report it as per the voting guidelines. More than fair for others to beg you to try and remove an unnecessary neg.

its the CURRENT version, not the NEWEST

If the newest isn't out yet, then this current version can still be considered 'new'.

    • +3

LTE version isn't out til 1 December and that is apparently to business customers only first. Not sure when it will be availeble retail.

      • -5

then why put NEWEST in the title? when obviously its not?

when people are expecting the LTE out any moment, or pre orders.

let me guess no surface book 2 either?

  • +2

Microsoft also just increased students discount to 15% recently. I think it will stack nicely with this deal + amex + TRS.

    • Keen to know if this stacks on the 20% off. A surface laptop for $1017 is tempting…

      • +1

        It doesn't stack.

    • Discounts off normal ticketed price. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Curious to know this as well.

      • +3

They say that, doesn't mean it wont work when tried.

  • +3

Unless you are in desperate need I'd wait for the 8th gen chip refresh, they are a huge performance jump especially for multi threaded workloads.

    • any ETA?

  • +4

too bad they didn’t drop the new surface books too :( with 20% off, TRS and 6x amex it would come from $3000 to $1581!

    • Thats right. Even after this deals, i still wanted the new book.

      • still 15% edu discount if you’re eligible

  • +1

If 15% doesn't stack with 20% off you'll be better off going to jb with the 15% student discount.

The prices at jb are slightly higher but it's not a sale price per se. I don't think you can price match with the student discount though since it seems to be done online?

    • Does the JB student discount stack with the sales?

      • Just found out it doesn't. Originally this morning it looked to be advertised as a set price as opposed to a sale.

Can anybody confirm whether it's stackable at HN?
