When you buy you will see no need to pay but I think it is only use the code to get 40% off.
No need to delete the post just change the title to 40% 3 months XBOX Live with the coupon code.

Yes, but @ $71.88/12 months it's not financially viable to do so
If this coupon is legit, it works out to just a little over $30 for 9 months, how is that not financially viable

In short Yes. Xbox Live is Xbox's online service. Gold membership is premium and allows multiplayer access. Those who do not pony up the cash will be on Silver which has access to online services to buy games, stream netflix etc.
This Groupon is kind of a waste of time… one you don't need to wait for you Groupon voucher, just click the claim here link.
Second on Groupon its says "don't pay $17.95". So i thought I would get it for 40% off $17.95 as that is how it is written, however you don't get 40% off as XBox Live don't do coupon codes. Badly worded ad on Groupon!
They have 12 months xbox live on amazon for 39USD wouldn't that be a better option ?? Comes to about 51AUD
