  • HN is out of stock, keep that in mind when price beating at Bunnings. Might have to be a lil shifty.

    • Isn't out of stock. Just checked again (Sydney) and Near me the stores with stock include: North Ryde, Balgowlah, Belrose. Bronze is available in Belrose.

Not sure that $186.30 is 10% less than $187… But if you're paying that price for a doorbell, who needs maths?

      Could be that your just a little dyslexic. $187 x 0.9 = $168.30

  • Extreamly overpriced item sold by local retailer.

  • It's really cheap now
I have been using Ring Doorbell for a year now
when I bought it at launch, it was $299 in HN

  • This a door bell?

  • Can it be connected to a door strike/electronic latch?

it works with kwikset Kevo, Lockitron, Wemo and many more. check compatibility from their website.

  • Great price for a great video doorbell. been using for 2 years now.

  • Apparently the V2 version of the Ring doorbell is the one to get. Recommended by Trevor Long from at http:/www.eftm.com.au

  • How long will the battery last per recharge cycle?

    • My first recharge lasted about 2-3 months. No video use. Just motion detection.

  • The best investment ever made for my smarthome.

How so? I found mine to be pretty much useless. I don't subscribe to their monthly plan though. I am regretting not checking the function before buying. I assumed that a video doorbell would be operable without having to pay an ongoing subscription for the video part. I would've thought offline video would be very reasonable a feature.

  • So can you use the video function without paying for subscription…?

    • Considering I couldn't find any mention on the page about a subscription service, you would hope so.

    • You need subscription to save any videos (it will automatically save all motion detected or button activated videos with a subscription).
Without a subscription you can watch live video (at your convenience, or when it is activated by motion or by button press) and can talk to the person on the other end, but none of those videos will be saved.

Subscription is about $5/month I think

  • Not a bad local price, but Ring was on sale last week at Amazon for US$110 shipped. If you can wait it may be cheap again for Christmas.
