I was looking for either a Swift 3 or a Lenovo Yoga 520 laptop and found this deal. For reference JB Hifi and The Good Guys have this for $1299. As at 5/12 selling at Amazon AU for $1199.

There have been Amazon deals in the past for around $950 which have the 8th gen processor and 256GB SSD, but no Australian warranty. For me, the warranty is a must.

It also came with a Canon PIXMA MG2965 wifi printer and a Trend Micro Maximum Security 1 year 6 device subscription!

Specs:

Processor : Intel® Core™ i5
Processor : Intel® Core™ i5-7200U
Storage: 128GB
RAM: 8GB
Touch Screen: No
Operating System: Windows 10 Home

  • Not bad at all for ol gil

  • I would've been sold if it were 250gb ;(

    • me too that or touch screen. Is this part of that thin lineup, used to be called V3 or something? Anyone know?

  • For me, the warranty is a must.

Amazon warranty is just as good as local AU warranty. I don't know why this view persists, but in my opinion, I have less problems returning stuff with Amazon than I do most local retailers (no wonder they're all going out of business).

Yes, if it was DOA, or faulty within a month or so, I'd expect Amazon to take it back. My concern is if you run into problems 10 months later? It would probably cost a silly amount to send it back if they made you pay for return shipping to have it repaired.

Wow that's a stellar deal. Nice OP!

  • Faark. Amazon just opened and this is a good dam price for trying to stay competitive. So tempted… ARRRHHGGG

If this was the Spin 5 I would've been lapping this deal up like no tomorrow!

But alas, touchscreen is one of the things that I need now, after having experienced it.

    On a side note:

    Canon PIXMA MG2965

How much does the printer cost and how much does its ink cost if anyone knows? Can you get its ink in other stores? Printer I got before from a promotion had outrageously expensive ink and I could only ever find it at one store..

  • Hmm this or the vivobook deal on Amazon posted a a few days ago, I wonder…

    • I didn't get the vivobook as it has a lot of keyboard flex. That was a dealbreaker for me. But it's awesome value.

  • How can we get the free printer, there is no mention of it in the link…?

    • There's a Print and Protect icon in the item listing. Click on that for details.
