    Expedited Delivery is actually cheaper so $28 + $24.54 (Delivery) = $52.54

    • Thank you!

    • Ah awesome! You can edit the shipping after hitting order

    • They changed the description to make it look like they don't have to send you the speakers I hope someone screenshots the original . I just bought a $500 Logitech steering wheel for $50 thought I was a bargain then my mate went to get one and he said the description was changed to just the shifter. Luckily I screenshots it to send to him so I have the original description and price compared against other competitors what where selling for 450. Now it's compared to just the gear shift. I would fight for the original post if someone has one. That is actually illegal what they have done and I have evidence

      • What part of the description did they change?

        • For the steering wheel it was the description of the wheel to the gearshift

ALL HAIL OUR AMAZON PRICE CRUNCHING OVERLORDS, CRUSH GERRY HARVEY.

    • +11

I think we are better off hoping our retailers compete and don't collapse otherwise there goes a lot of jobs and money that's staying in Australia

      • +18

Our retailers have, to a certain extent, been playing the "Australia tax" card for their own benefit for way too long. It's not a coincidence that many Australian products are priced just above what it costs an individual to ship from overseas.

I also think a huge part of the problem is that leases are too high for brick and mortar stalls. And unfortunately it might not be until Australian businesses and workers are lost until land owners realise their properties simply aren't worth what they hope. In this situation online retailers aren't to blame, it's the retail property sector refusing to accept a decline in value due to competition.

      • Where do you think Amazon AU workers live…?

        • +1

They live in the Fulfillment Center where they fulfill.

  • What's the go if they refuse to honour the transaction? Full refund or gift card credit?

    • +1

      Yeah pretty much

    • They won't charge till it's shipped.

  • Its a third party seller so the chances of them honouring it aren't good

    • +3

If someone refuses to honour a price error, they must refund you.

      • Indeed

      • +4

Yes, they need some real cases to test the refund process and to deal with angry OzBargainers.

      • Amazon won't charge till it ships, haven't any of you used them before??

        • My card has been charged. Sign that they'll honour the deal?

        • +2

@darktiger: maybe au one works different? The us one didn't bill till sent, maybe au Amazon needs the cash flow initially? Lol refund via stocks :p

    • +2

Yeah that’s what I thought as well, but for the price I figured I would roll the dice

    • +1

      amazon au so 220v ….?

      • Australia is 230v (in practice it's 240v).

  • +14

So I placed an order, and the confirmation email is showing a picture of Logitech Keyboard + Mouse Combo

    • +1

      Damn, we just got scammed

    • RIP

    • i was just about to buy one then saw this….. ok ill still try here hoping its not a scam

    • Same just got this as well haha wtf

      • +1

LOL so which one of us will contact amazon tmr to find out if its a keyboard and mouse or speakers?

        • I don't think it's gonna be price honoured anyway :P OzB probably drew more than 100+ buyers. They misdid the ad and meant to put it for the $28 keyboard :P

        • +1

I'm not contacting them, if they send me the keyboard they'll have to pay for return shipping.

May let me keep it instead as it's cheap.

        • @Scab:
          How ethical of you.

        • +13

          @Travis J:

You must be confused and logged in to the wrong forum, this is Ozbargain, we don't have ethics.

          @Scab:

sorry but this man is pure. he needs defend nothing

        • -1

          @Scab:
Yuo're the man, Scabby. Given a bit sneaky, but very smart, and it's not like you're ruining some poor soul. In my books, it's thumbs up :). P.S.: let's hope they will ship that keyboard.

      • Yeah just looked at mine and it’s showing the same thing, the link does take you to the speakers though so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

        • All G thanks for putting up the bargain :P

    • +5

Same same. I was actually in the market for a wireless kb & mouse… but I'd much prefer a big ass set of speakers.

Also, pic in confirmation email looks like Logitech MK220 set. Which sells for $19 regularly, so if they're trying to offload for $50-60 delivered they deserve this mess.

    • But the description is a speaker system - picture or text?

      • Every reference is to the speakers apart from the single image in the confirmation email. Even the image of a keyboard and mouse links to speakers.

        • I ordered one before i left my bed - the cheapest price on Ebay is $269 delivered. They have charged my credit card already.

    • Hey bud they did this on the dodgy I just bought a Logitech steering wheel for $57 bucks and took screenshots of what it was compared to and the description. My mate came back 10 mins later to get one and they changed the description. That is illegal. Luckily I have screenshots. They changed the description to the gear shifter. Someone is trying to save their job it looks like. Seeming the other keyboards have free shipping I would look into it

    Early bird catches the worm

  • +1

    Welcome Amazon Australia.

  • +3

delivery fee is $488 to SA.

    • Change to Expedited Delivery at checkout.

  • Expedited delivery cheaper than standard delivery for me.. Postage to Central Queensland was > $70.

  • 220 would still be a bargain?

    • +5

Only if you wanted 5.1 on your computer in the first place. Kind of a teenage thing to surround yourself with Logitech spaghetti isn't it?

      • So what do you recommend?

        • +2

Good 2.0 speakers, something close to active mini hifi speakers, or 2.1 if you have a small desk and want more and deeper bass. Or good headphones, open air ones if you want to hear what your girlfriend is saying to you while wearing them or closed ones if you don't.

      • +1

I know of a few ppl that have them as main speakers for tv’s etc in sheds n things.
Sound pretty damn good for the price, even at $300 or so like they usually cost.

        • Yeah these are the much better version of the 5.1 spaghetti setup, I've heard they are very good quality too. But still it's a ruddy mess setting it up properly around a computer and a little dinky for the living room.

  • Cost me around $90 total to W.A

    • Same with me, took the risk.

      • +2

No risk, at worst you'll get a refund, at best a bargain but I doubt that will happen.

    • $98.16 for me.

  • +3

    @Amazonau

Can we please agree on Amazon AU or Amazon(AU).

  • $63 total to NSW North Coast.

  • Damn.. I don't even need it.. but I got it for $52.54 (expedited shipping). No keyboard+mouse combo photos like above. Lol

    • +1

Did you check the confirmation email? What image does it show?

      • Mine shows keyboard.

      • Hahaha yeah keyboard and mouse combo, but when clicking on the link still leads to the speaker

      • +1

Also, clicking on the order details show the speaker + correct description

  • $52 expedited to vic metro. My guess is it was meant to be priced $280.00 instead of $28. Lets hope for a miracle!

    • Amazon US will honor the transaction. Doubt AU will do the same.

      • Jeff’s turn to call us Professionals

        • We ARE non sleep Professionals.

      • If Amazon US will honor - i believe they will do the same for AU - No need to make lots of enemy.

      • some things are stocked by amazon in their warehouse and shipped for sellers …. in that case it’s out the door and honoured before seller even knows what has happened ….. if the stock is with the seller, they probabaly catch on before it’s shipped due unusually high demand ….. goes from sell one a day to 100 in a day ……

be interesting to see what happens and if amazon wear the glitch or do a deal and it’s honoured so no bad publicity.

        • Let us see what happen in a few days time - i guess we all paid for the express delivery.

  • +1

This is who it would be coming from if they actually went through with the sale:

    • +8

Get it from Amazon, much cheaper.

      • Amazon Australia is cheaper again. Get it from them, I'd say.

    • welp. 40 in stock only. there's way more than 40 orders here for sure. i guess i'm not getting one

      • +3

Don't worry about it. There could be 100 in stock and you still wouldn't get one as the price is obviously incorrect.

  • +1

Is this their form of advertising, almost giving away stuff?

  • Same as others got the Keyboard combo picture in the email confirmation. In Amazon account though still has the speakers that were ordered

  • -1

Are the prices shown on Amazon AU in AUD or USD?

    • +1

Just double check my confirmation email and it mentioned gst so guessing it must be aud

    • +1

      AU, it's an Australian seller.

      • If it is an Australian Seller - then the delivery cost is far too much to ship within Australia.

        • Not on this deal. Not a single person complained about the excessive shipping cost hehe.

Someone even paid $90 to ship to WA.

        • Shipping costs look about right for a big set of speakers.

        • @grb: Indeed. It is a big Logitech speaker box containing a keyboard & mouse set…

  • Same here, got the email with keyboard combo pic. I think the price for the combo it's make sense. But I want the speaker not the keyboard.

  • what a deal! cost me $52..btw, does Amazon Aust. website show in US currency or Ozie currency?

    • AUD but most likely won't charge you anything for this.

  • +2

    Fingers crossed it's honoured

  • +2

What if they just went ahead and shipped out hundreds of Logitech KB & mouse sets LOL?

Amazon AU will have a field day responding to all the return for refund requests.

    • +5

      Lol yep :P
Just imagine the person who put all the stuff on amazon wakeing up shortly going
“Well today is the day, today is the day that I make all the monies from my amazon listings”
      logs into amazon
      “Ahhhhh crap”

      • +3

        Ammagone lol

      • Given amazon doesn’t charge your card until the items ship it will be easy for them to simply cancel the orders. Which I suspect they will.
