Hey Everyone,

I found LinkedIn useful for a dynamic and versatile resume online.

After realising I have a knack for tuning up and making over LinkedIn profiles, I wanted to offer my services as a freebie!

In return this will help me structure out my commericalisation and feasibility for whether it's worth doing and how much it will cost.

Update:

I've been overwhelmed with the support, an additional queue has been added and will be batched throughout the month.

My friend, @megasaletime, is heavily experienced in HR, workshops and presentations. He's offered his time with the profiles and also resumes here.

      Looks fine to me.
      A couple of 1-2 year positions there.
      Most of the changes are going up, not sideways by the quick skim.

    I checked your example, it's interesting how you refer to yourself as in the third person. I'm not sure I would have used that, Otherwise pretty good.

      It’s something I was experimenting and asking feedback for. Curious as to your take on it was, third person seemed more objective, whist first person appeared actionable and personal.

        True the third person does have a more resume style feel, I'm still undecided if I like my LinkedIn profile to be a resume or a conduit for business connections. I guess it depends on where you are at, either looking for a new role or expanding your network.

        As an Ozbargainer its a really nice thing that you are doing.

    Thanks everyone for the responses! Since 30 have been allocated, the additional will be queued and considered as best effort. I don’t want to promise the remainder and fall through on them.

    If you're after feedback, I'd probably suggest removing the 2008 help desk role from your profile. It doesn't align with your skills and just adds to the long list of companies (which IMO should be a bit more concise)

    Otherwise not bad/10

    Update: I have my friend and housemate Aaron join in and provide his expertise with this too! This means the current best effort queue will be batched. We'll cap the sign up soon so we can get going.

    In the spirit of working to brush up resumes (in conjunction) he wanted to assist those alone.

    After having reviewed resumes for 100s of friends, colleagues, and students I have a knack for reviewing them As such I want to offer to review your resume as a freebie.

    After working in both a university careers service as well as having hired multiple interns, volunteers, and staff members across various organisations I know that resumes are a challenge for many.

    I am doing this because I have been inspired by my friend @epicsaletime who is helping out 30 OzBargan users in reviewing their LinkedIn profiles. We are having a friendly challenge between us because we want to see how we can potentially make this service commercially viable and we want to to help as many people as possible in the process

    Important Guidelines: Replace any personal details that you would like as follows: [Email] [mobile] etc.

    The following things should also never be in your resume, please take them out before you send your resume:
    - Date of Birth
    - Home Address
    - Gender
    - Religion
    - Ethnicity

    These things cannot be part of any hiring decision but avoiding any subconscious bias is in your best interest.
