SteelSeries Sensei Wireless Gaming Mouse (62250) $89 Pick up VIC @ CPL

140

Whilst looking for an ambidextrous wireless gaming mouse, I stumbled upon this bargain for the SteelSeries Sensei Wireless for $89 pick up from CPL (I picked up from the Notting Hill CPL store on Sunday morning.)

The mouse has received favourable reviews. (https://www.engadget.com/products/steelseries/sensei/wireles…)

Retails normally for $199, however the nearest price I've found is $169 from MWave and PC Case Gear.

I don't need a new mouse but I gotta admit that one looks really cool, charger and all. Pretty tempting!

    Nice find.

      charger and all

All wireless mice come with chargers.

        Logitech G900 didn't.

What a strange and incorrect comment to make.

If they don't, then how are they charged?

        • +1

@Lorindor: Plenty of wireless ones - including every one I've ever owned - run off batteries that must be charged separately.

Part of why I like the look of this one. Sounds infinitely more convenient.

          @Selenium:

How are the batteries charged in these wireless mice that you speak of?

        • +1

@Lorindor: They take AAs typically. So you either put new ones in, or, as any Ozbargainer worth his salt, put one of your many recharged Eneloop batteries in it.

Also the same price at umart as well I think

This is $269 at JB. Got to laugh at that. Huge Australian retail tax at work there.

Be careful with these. I had one and whilst doing a firmware update it didn't work and bricked the mouse. After opening a report with steelseries, and paying $70 to send with a tracking number to them overseas, they claimed they never received it and stopped responding, ignoring my proof.

    Worst customer service ever!

    • Pity the retailer didn't help you out.

      • Probably bought on eBay or something from an overseas seller?

        • MSY, and my naivety to not chase up with them first. Had only bought it a few months earlier

this is enough to stop me pulling the trigger. Thanks for sharing.

  • aren't the new Logitech Lightspeed ones similarly priced and last much much longer ?

  • When is the mouse release?2014 or 2015?
Why the two years ago model mouse still expensive?
I think it only worth $89 now. JB always expensive than normal price. If this one need $269 , Why not choose Logitech G903?

  • I bought one a few years ago, good mouse but I use it wired nowadays because the charging dock sucks and the battery only lasts a couple of days. I also haven't been able to upgrade the firmware on it because it errors out every time (known issue with no fix) so if you can get it upgraded it might help with the battery but probably not the unreliable docking.

  • Looked promising until i read comments above and makes me appreciate my 5 year old mamba which is still going well
