I am so curious as to what this is about? Considering so many Oz Bargainers seem to want to go.
Are all of you Mormons or just wannabe's? or do I have it all wrong and it is not about Mormons?

The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy about two young Mormon missionaries who travel to Africa to preach the Mormon religion. First staged in 2011, the play satirizes various Mormon beliefs and practices.

Thanks BensonP and a quick google search led me to ticket, cast and more tickets… but eventually I found that it is a comedy put on my mormons about mormons. Apparently a top rated play. Thanks again.

Lol. It is not put on by Mormons.

I'm fairly sure it's just put on by the same people who would 'put on' any other musical, i.e. regular old theatre producers, venue owners, actors, musicians, etc.

This seems like the equivalent of saying Cats must be put on by cats.

It's written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

The play was written by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. Parker and Stone were also responsible for creating South Park.

There's a fancy, obscure little thing called Google. It will help you find the answers you seek.

  • You can get the tickets for the same price from the Ticketmaster website directly by the way, no need for the app.

Actually, the Rush tickets are cheaper but not THAT much cheaper. For example $50 instead of $69 through the Ticketmaster site.

    • Your comment is so blasphemous here. Saying $50 is the not that much cheaper than $69. That's about a 30% saving!
Next you'll be saying it's not worth buying those extra 24 Eneloops because you probably don't need them.

Hahaha you're right… bargains is bargains.

I ended up seeing the show, and it was great!

  • I wish I could afford to fly to Melbourne for this. Even more so I wish I could just buy a recording of it on blu-ray.

  • I got premium seating from the app for that price for Friday. So I think that's a step up from A Reserve?

    • That's pretty awesome. Jealous.

Really loved this show. We went twice with the $69 deal. We got good seats in both the stalls and the Dress Circle. It has a HUGE language warning and I, suspect, I will end up in Spooky Mormon Hell for going to it; but really worth it. The actors can really sing and I didn't notice a dud performance.

    • We saw it twice too! $20 and $40 tix, a-res both times, preview and lottery.
