    Christmas 2018 I'm tipping with delivery times…

    • Yea, will be good for 2018.

      • +1

Its actually handy for taking quick notes and doing stuff that you would otherwise waste a paper for.

    • Haha, i did get some of the items really quick. But only thing to do now is to keep fingers crossed.

    • I bought a couple of the 12 inch ones (8.5 inch ones are just too small). Ordered on the 19th November, received 6th December. Not too bad.

  • +2

Handy for keeping the kids busy. Thanks Op!

    • No problem, Pleasure!

Handy for keeping the kids busy.

They'll be adults by time time it arrives. Maybe their kids can use it.

      • Ordered on the 19th November, received 6th December.

        and…

They'll be adults by time time it arrives.

        Only if they're rabbits.

      • hopefully it will come in as a timely new year gift (referring to 2018!) :)

  • +2

    Scored one. Thanks OP.

    • -1

      No Probelmo!

      • How come you got down voted for just saying NP?

        • Haha, i suppose someone is not liking me bringing the deal :p

  • +2

Can you download the work of art off the tablet to a computer?

    • +4

Unfortunately no, but this is just a idea scratch pad kind of thing. Only thing we can do is take a photo of the work.

      • +1

There are pdf scanner apps now that work all right if your needs are too specific

    • Theres one at aldi that does that

  • +1

Can this be easily mounted on a fridge?

    • +3

      Double sided tape?

      • +2

        Eggggceelllent! Thanks. Ordered!

      • +2

Get 3M VHB tape instead if you want it to last

        • +1

Yeah was just giving Frank something to work on. I personally use the 4991 as you only need a tiny bit and they remove easily without residue.

    • +2

      fixate gel?

    • maybe some magnetic tape

  • +4

If only it was rechargeable or used AAA instead of button batteries.

    • +1

Ah that sucks, I was thinking it didn't need batteries. Anyone know how long they last?

Edit:if vanit below is correct then the battery is only used to clear the screen which should last ages

      • +3

The rep said around 2 years atleast

    • +2

      Enloops everything!

  • +1

    Eco friendly?! Umm… probably not.

Interesting product though. Anyone know how it works?
i.e. is it a touch sensor, microprocessor, and pixel based display; or is it just a pressure-sensitive direct acting thing?

    • +2

I have one. I was going through heaps of paper when I was learning Chinese at uni (you have to write and re-write the characters till you can properly recall them on paper). This seemed to solve my wastage problem.

I believe its pressure-sensitive. There's no backlight so you'll have to be in a well-lit room. The pen included is a bit small, but since the tablet is pressure-sensitive you can literally use anything to write with - I used my graphics tablet pen which worked great.

It's really basic, and the one button is to clear the board for a fresh page. There is no memory or 'save'button, so if you draw something, your only option is to take a photo. Anyway, it's fun for what it is :)

    • +1

Hah, nothing so fancy (although its impressive in its own right). All the products like this are non-powered e-ink screens that are pressure sensitive. A calculator battery is needed to clear the screen though.

I keep one at work (though from a western brand; Boogie Board) and it makes for a great little scratch pad for meetings.

      • +1

A basic model Boogie is not much more expensive from Amazon US when on sale and I am pretty sure it is of much better quality.

        • +1

Boogie board has battery that is soldered on. This is? Replaceable

probably like the old type kindle

  • Scored one for $8.32au using points I had accumulated instead of ops code.

    • +1

      Cool story bro

      • +1

        Thanks dude!

        • Thats a cool story but i though points couldn't be stacked with offers..

        • @ninjataki: If you read my post you would have seen that I didn't use the code just some of my points.

        • +1

@ausbob71: Ok you win. I blame b-radicool for throwing me off the scent :) Also I don't think his name checks out <_<

  • -2

They have better ones at Costco

  • +2

Just letting you all know i bought one. As you were

  • Thanks
Does anyone know if it has an edit or undo function?

  • I'll stick with the magna-doodles for my kids (3 and 1) for now (didn't take long for the 1 year old to learn how to wipe it clean), with how rough they are with their stuff i'm sure it'd snap in a few days, and you can get multi coloured screens on some now too.

  • It shipped 10 hours from order. Thats super duper fast !! Its another thing to wait for 30 days for it to arrive. But atleast its shipped.
