    …hmmm

      I am also sceptical.

The (genuine) seller on the US store is paypal_digital_gifts, this seller is paypal-digital-gifts.

This seller has 270 feedback (all in the last month), and no way I can find to get from the Paypal website to their ebay store.

Gift cards are not covered by PayPal protection.

This reeks of a scam. Do a little genuine business, get good feedback, then take a whole bunch of suckers for their money.

If you must buy these, I would use a credit card not linked to your PayPal account so you can charge back if necessary without nuking your account.

        https://www.paypal.com/au/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-buy-and-…

Has a link here to actual store. The user that owns store is indeed this user - it's actually legit.

        • Hmm, thanks for that. So it is legit.

        • Thanks, I hope I didn't run anyone's shopping spree

          @JBOT: I was cautious:

The box below contains the User IDs that this member has used on eBay.

User ID: Effective Date End Date

          scothensha-74 30-Aug-17 02-Sep-17

I cant figure out why a paypal associated anything would open an ebay account called scothensha-74

@MorriJ: Quick google, looks like Scott Henshaw is New Business Development marketing manager in Seattle for Paypal…

Plausible from his photo that he be about 43 years old too

        • As did I. Despite my comment being made in good faith, you'll find my apology above.

So i can like use these e-vouchers in a jb hifi store?

    • +3

that reminds me … had 2 jb e vouchers, one worked, one the assistant said had been used … which i know it had not ….. it’s only $15 but what a saga it will be to find out in theory when it was used, for what and get it replaced …..nicer with real cards and receipts.

      • I had the same! - it was a refund from the playstation cards refund in feb/march(? - can remember when) but one work and one didnt..grrrrr

  • +5

Is it safe to buy these? Are we covered by PayPal if something goes wrong?

    • +8

Calling themselves Paypal giftcards, using the Paypal logo, but looks like no association with Paypal or ebay? Hmmm trustworthy

    • +3

I was wrong. Ebay said it is legit & related to Paypal.
      See my comments below

    • paypal doesnt cover gift cards

  • +4

    15% off jb is awesome!!

  • +1

    What's the catch?

    • +23

Catch is a website formerly known as Catch of the day. They rarely have $10 off coupon which only deducts shipping costs. Hopefully that covers everything

  • Anyone know the expiry?

  • +13

    I smell a rat.

Update: had a chat with eBay, no rat.

Me: Is this store legit & related to Paypal?
    Ebay:It is legit.
This store has long been registered and is actually based in the US
    Definitely been registered since 2014

Me: so is it related to Paypal?
Ebay:Right. It is related to PayPal as it is under the said company

Either that or our wallets can't repel prices of this magnitude!

    • Mo Money Mo Problem

  • What the catch? Seem too good

Has anyone bought one yet? If the voucher is delivered quickly then surely someone can confirm?

  • +1

is this legit? can anyone confirm ?

    Hmmm…

    • If it is indeed legit as per the PayPal site link and eBay chat confirmation, it is unbelievable that they are so sloppy.

      • Of course it's legit. eBay is happy to take your money and those Sri Lankans will confirm, then a few days later when store is closed they'll be like, uhm, we are investigating…

Once I ordered something on Amazon and realized it wouldn't come in time. Tried to change it to express immediately after I bought but it was too late. Went on chat and even though I was supposed to pay for it the CSR who was not American decided to not just give me free express post but also got it cheaper. In the end it came earlier without having to pay for the express post plus the product ended up being cheaper.

TLDR, I'd err on the side of caution. I'd use them now rather than wait just to find out something went wrong.

  • +23

Legit. Linked to from PayPal website here https://www.paypal.com/au/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-buy-and-…

    • Looks good! Thanks for the confirmation

    • +5

I just ordered and payment was to PayPal Australia

You sent a payment of $85.00 AUD to PayPal Australia Pty Limited ([email protected])
Thanks for using PayPal. To view the transaction details, log in to your PayPal account.

This seems an aweful lot of effort for a scammer.
      Good on him.

      • +1

Well there are plenty of threads on myriad forums screaming that PayPal is a scam.

Looks legit to me. I logged into my PayPal account and followed the links from the help section and arrived at the same ebay store Page. try it for yourself.

when it's too good to be true…… then it probably it's true?!?

  • Anyone know if any of these stores can accept multiple gift cards per order?

    • I know jbhifi is happy to accept multiple cards

      • JB limits to five per order

        • I havent tried using so many, but I think I've seen posts of people using several for stuff like TVs. Is this in their policy somewhere?

        • Online or in store? Don't think there is a limit in store.

        • @steff:

Correction. It's 5 limit for online order.

          From their FAQ:

Can I use multiple gift cards for my online purchase?

The website will only allow up to 5 gift cards to be redeemed per order.

        • @jitubisht: ok cool. thanks

        • +1

I once had more and contacted JB support, They converted my 6 or 7 into a new voucher combining them all so I could use on line.

    • jb does

    • and confirmed it is possible for Kogan too:
      https://www.kogan.com/au/help/can-i-add-multiple-kogancom-gi…
Can I add multiple Kogan.com Gift Cards on my Kogan.com account?
Absolutely! If you have multiple Kogan.com Gift Cards, you will be able to add the credit from each gift card to your Kogan.com account.

  • I think I'll pass

  • JB doesn't seem to have any PS4 pro deals..its goes up to $519. Does anyone know if they sell EB games/ Wish gift cards in store ?

  • What is the expiry date of the gift card?

    • From memory laws in aus have passed and its now 3 years instead of two

    • Under Terms and Conditions "Balance expires 12 months from the date of activation."

    • Expiry Date: 18-Dec-2116

This eCard does not expire. We hope
you enjoy your JB Hi-Fi eGift Card.

This is the JBHIFI gift card I purchased from JBHIFI using the paypal JBHIFI giftcards in this deal.

      • Did you purchase it online or in store?

        • online

  • +1

Can multiple of these (5 in my case) be used in store @ JB hifi ?

    • +1

      Yes.

      • +1

        Thanks Dreamcast

      • +1

        How about more than 5?

        • +1

5 or less, can order online.
6 or more, have to go in store.

    • So if I find a good price on a tv in the Boxing Day sales, will JB still price match if I’m paying with gift cards (+ cash)?

Seems to be to good to be true - 15% off now, then another 20% off in the sales.

      • Price matching occurs before you pay and should not matter how you pay.

        • Don't mention gift cards until they ask for payment. They should be treated like just like cash with the only exception being if you're buying gift cards.

  • +11

I went for it. Got the $100 jbhifi gift card. I just received my link.

I'll go to jbhifi around 10am and will see how it goes.

    • so how did it go?

      • +10

        It worked :D

        • nice :D

  • +2

Can this be used to buy Kogan mobile plan?

    • Also, can you transfer credit from one Kogan account to another? I am tryna purchase two mobile plans in a couple months time.

    • +1

      From
      https://www.kogan.com/au/help/can-kogancom-gift-cards-be-use…

Can Kogan.com Gift Cards be used with Kogan Mobile?

Yes, Kogan.com Gift Cards can be redeemed for purchases made from Kogan.com, including our Kogan Mobile Prepaid Vouchers.

Please note that a Gift Card cannot be redeemed on a purchase or recharge made directly from the Kogan Mobile app or website.

      So that's a YES and that's a NO. So that's a FIIK

      • I think the key word here is purchases vs. purchase.
        Purchases = yes
        Purchase = no

      • Seems to indicate you can use the gift card to buy Kogan Mobile prepaid vouchers on kogan.com but not koganmobile.com.au, same as not being able to Kogan gift cards on their dicksmith.com.au website.

    • +2

Yes, I just tried to buy and it does work. Works also in combination with $50 off that can be bought on here.

      • damn i just bought the kogan sim last night very sad monday morning

        • Eh DID, do you know what is the latest activation date after ordering a plan? I still have more than 3 months on Vaya but really like to order now with all these perks.

        • @MadMaxBargainRoad: i think end of january 2018 or feb. just go to the kogan page scroll down read all youll find it

        • +1

@dragonindespair: Sounds great, thanks. Do you know if I can purchase another mobile voucher for someone else to redeem? or Do they have to buy it under their own account?

      • Curious what the $50 off is?

        • There are some people on here and ebay selling off $50 off Kogan vouchers for 8.50-15. They expire end of this year though.

        • @fozzie:

I see, won't te too useful for my situation, thanks!

  • Two questions

1- how many can we purchase?

2- these these like normal gift cards right? Can they used in store?

    • -2

1 - As many as they have for sale on their eBay store
2 - Yes, they'll enter the code or scan a barcode that comes with your digital gift card

      • -2

wrong, 5 gift cards max per person and can be used in store.

        • -2

5 gift cards max per person and can be used in store

          Which store(s)?

        • How so? 5 is the online limit. You can claim an unlimited number of gift cards in store. I bought my MBP with $50 gift cards purchased from Woolworths.

EDIT: I see what you mean. 5 per 10 days on the paypal eBay account. Easily bypassed with a 2nd account.
