    Deal breaker for me…

    • Hello jv, FB is required only to get 15% extra, 43% discount still applies by default.

Offering a larger discount for Facebook liking foodstuffs we never tasted is using OzBargain to falsely inflate your brand popularity.

yes we are very proud of our business ethics for sure …

Why do you consider that ethical?

        • The same reason 100's of respectable businesses large and small do the same. OZB has a lot of such deals too, unless you want to start calling each of them out on every such post instead of targeted ones? Also the fact that OZB even dedicate the below sentence in their guides make us believe it is acceptable (unlike asking for reviews)?

"Mention if users need to Like on Facebook, Retweet on Twitter, or perform some other online task to acquire the deal"

        • @OzNewB: Using OzBargain guidelines to justify offering additional discount for lying about liking foodstuffs Members never tasted is the epitome of unethical.

        • @PJC: 👍🏻

    • just use a fake account

So without trying the mix you want people to like and share on facebook? No offence meant but as a chef if im going to recommend something to friends and family i need to know,
    1. Is it good quality and better than putting the spices together yourself.
    2. Is it cheaper than me putting the spices together.
    3. It is great you have so many spice combos but whom came up with them and what is there experience.
    4. From what i see there is just ready made spice combos, and looks very generic:)

and i need to know there good and have tested them before i would recommend them!!!!!!

I call you out as a company that is asking people to recommend there product without even trying it to improve sales buy offering small discount for the recommendation.
I think the company needs to rethink this as it looks to me your products are not very good so you offer discounts to make them look better!
Welcome to Ozbargins, 15% is ok bargain but not when you have to recommend a product you have never tried!!!!!!

    • They actually gave away free samples a while ago, you can't really say welcome to ozbargain without checking their post history. I got the butter chicken and it was definitely much better than sauce in a jar.

      • So you are saying you got the spices from them and then added all the wet ingredient? Cool but the spices cheap and easy to put together:) Just saying:)

      • Thank you for your support Cal13x, highly appreciated. I hope you enjoy your new order too.

      • Dear Cal13x,
We have posted your order and have also added a bunch of extra packs (ones that you haven't tried before) for you as a gift from us, as an appreciation for your support on this forum. We have done this previously for other members, and will continue doing this as we believe encouraging positive people is the only way to thwart negativity.
        Thank you again.

    • Hello tonywind,

Well that seems like a lot of speculation and judgement without knowing us at all :-)

We are a new small business and offering discounts so that people can try them out cheap, and if happy they can buy again. They are FMCG so we cannot really make a quick buck by selling low-quality products to one time customers. We already have over 180 customers within 3 months of opening (including a Chef) and quite a few who buy regularly and we haven’t had 1 single complaint (yes that's true) about the quality, maybe those happy customers can recommend and avail the extra 15% discount and the other can still get the 43%? To answer your queries:

      1. Please have a look at 'about us' section on how we test brands before bringing them in. We have tasted and love them, so do our customers, but you would have to try them to see if you 'personally' like them or not.

      2. By 'cheaper' are you also taking into consideration the time saved and the convenience? Off the shelf 'heat-and-eat' or frozen meals are mostly bad but still quite expensive, but they have been and will be around in the future due to these factors.

      3. We have the details of the manufacturers on our website if you want to have a look.

      4. Not really sure what kind of ‘non-generic’ spices we could bring in after offering 80 of them, quite a few of which aren’t available anywhere in Australia?

      5. Finally, these spices suit home cooks, as we would hope Chefs make everything from scratch (though we do offer commercial packs for food outlets that want them).

We cannot stop accusations, but we are very proud of our business ethics.

      Regards.

Well that seems like a lot of speculation and judgement without knowing us at all :-)

So it's unfair for Member tonywind to speculate without knowing you at all, but it's fair to compel Member tonywind to Facebook like and share an untried product to acquire your title's 58% discount? Have I got that right?

        • Not sure where I meant anyone was 'unfair' or talked about 'rights'. Just responded to his queries in a positive way. He has the rights to say what he thinks, same as I have, and of course you too…

  • Any chance of getting butter chicken back in stock?

    • Dear Cal13x,
Unfortunately we have just run out of the large packs for sale, but I can offer you 2 x 30g promo packs for the same price (60gms instead of 50gms). Please PM me if you are interested and I will figure out something.
      Thank you :-)

We like to see prices. Bargains have prices.

    • Hello PCJ, the final price will depend on what discounts have been availed…
      Thank you

Your 'edit' button is between 'view' and 'revisions'.

Shahi Garam Masala $3.50 now $1.99 or Facebook like & share $1.47

Negging because OP's title clearly offers 58% discount on condition fellow OzBargain Members like and share before purchase. If I tell Members I like a food product before ever trying it I am lying. Offering me an additional discount for that constitutes cynical traversal from marketing to manipulation for which Associated OP declares pride …

we are very proud of our business ethics.

    • Fair enough, we all learn from our mistakes, simple wording errors, never looked at it that way. And yes we are very proud of our business ethics for sure…

      • You made no wording errors.

Hello jv, FB is required only to get 15% extra, 43% discount still applies by default.

          👍🏻

  • Wow… you have got so many options and prices are very cheap after discount. Why don’t you post it in Indians in Perth Facebook page as well.

Free shipping over $10 spend is great as well. Do you give free sample to try ?

    • +1

Dear AbhiC, will sure post there too :-)
We did a free sample giveaway some time ago, but we only had 5 types of spices as promo packs. We then wanted people to try everything, hence we thought the current price of under $2 per pack delivered is quite cheap for someone to try out.
      Thank you.
