That's a grey import model with no local warranty.
It actually has a 2 year local amaysim in house warranty from what I can tell.

I personally don’t buy grey imports. The headaches when something goes wrong is not worth it.
Yeah, but it most likely isn't the official one from Samsung Australia, otherwise it would have been clearly advertised. Just looking at the comments in that deal, there appears to be a few people who have been duped with similar claims (not necessarily buying from amaysim) and are frustrated when Samsung refuses to repair their grey import phones.
It could be that amaysim has their own repairers for phones that they sell, but that is very different from being able to walk up to a Samsung retail kiosk (and there's more and more of them now) and getting assistance.
@jimbobaus: Good for you. Certainly not my experience. 2 months it took to fix my S3 which had the design defect.

guess it depend on different ppl. i tried with the display in store. uncomfortable for my fingers. maybe my hands are too small. lol good phone anyway
I've had the plus for a few months,hated the position at first but you get used to it and don't everyone remember why you hated it.
It's really not an issue. U u grab the phone,your muscle remember where the sensor is,you unlock the phone. The issue is really exaggerated by the media.

A case seems to make it easier as just slide from left until hit reader. Even bixby button didn't seem much issue. Think it was all blown out of proportion
I got mine from eBay with people flogging off on their Telstra contract. Works out cheaper than retail. Only get this if you have 15% gift cards.

Yeah don't see any point in buying S8 now when in 2-3 months S9 is coming forcing S8 probably to sub $550-650 mark anyway.
Very unlikely you'll get a local stock model for $550-650. JB Hi Fi still lists the Galaxy S7 for $799 which is quite ridiculous for a phone released more than 18 months ago!
