Turns a 3.5mm combo headphone/microphone port into one 3.5mm headphone jack and one 3.5mm microphone port.

Most new laptops and Ultrabooks come equipped with a single 3.5mm 4-position (4pin) audio port that supports both audio input and output. However, A great number of headsets on the market come equipped with two separate headphone and microphone connectors that are not compatible with this new configuration.         ahh ok. though tthis was one of those 'splitters'. guess not. never used it but the 'odd' occasion it would be useful on a flight out and watching media together.

    I use a splitter in my computer so the two rear speakers of my logitech 5.1 output the same as front and I use them next to my bed, I know you can do it with software but this is just easier.

      this doesn't split the sound, it splits the microphone and speaker…
