As an OzBargainer I never question the why, I just buy.
That's an older version of the card (+), the newer version shows "plus" and has faster speeds, hence the price tag.
I got the newer version. Not really faster by much. If anything a little slower on the random writes. Certainly not worth the price difference.
It's very confusing but I think there are actually two versions of the "Evo +", an earlier model and a later model which is still being sold.
The "Evo +" late model is U3 which is similar to the "Evo Plus", but better than the early model "Evo +" which is U1.
@aardvark7: the zapals Evo +one is listed as a U3. I already have the newer 2017 model and wasn't that impressed. Certainky not getting 95mb/sec write speed. The older + model is on its way from zapals so I can compare when it arrives but it's listed as a U3 so I'm not expecting much difference (other then the lower price)
