[PRICE ERROR] Google Home Mini - 3 for $78 at The Good Guys Online

Tried adding 2 to cart, total was $0, however I couldn't proceed to payment. Added another one, promotional code was applied automatically. Total $78 for 3.

Edit: Add the cheapest item you can find (easternculture found sim card) and complete payment

Mod 8/1: Users who purchased 3 for $78, 2 for $8 or similar combinations have had their orders cancelled during the past week. Refunds have started today. Moved to forum as a confirmed price error.

          @anil143: I remember back in my school days the teacher would at times forget to leave homework for the weekend. While everyone else simply kept quiet hoping for the best , however slight the chance, there was one kid who just didn't have the self control and had to ask for confirmation.       • No I mean the 3 for $78, or maybe a 5% price beat there.

        • Maybe but from memory, it's all depending on OW staff you get. Some would honour special promotional price, some don't. All you can do is come to store and give it a shot. If not given, go out and come back afterwards, hoping to get different OW staff.

  • Saw this deal last night, don't need a Home Mini so didn't bother order one (or two, or three…) I wonder if TGG will give people $10 instore credit this time, like the recent pricing error of Logitech Boom speaker? I didn't even get to spend that $10 credit before it expired.

      Whats being contactable got to do with it? They'll cancel the order and notify via email. They don't need to talk to each person individually.

          They may or may not but they’d still cancel it if they don’t get through. It be extremely odd for them to ship to people that don’t pick up a phone.

    Just tried to pick my click and collect. Was told order still being processed at head office and i have to wait for confirmation email. Thing was the shelf was cleared of google minis and they had heaps behind counter… they were processing the orders and alarm bells have sounded. Was worth a shot i guess.

      I just received my email confirming my click and collect. Went down and got my 6 for $78 :) Think I got lucky on this one

        @ZachBlasphemy Can you share what the cancellation email said?

        • First one is called a "Sales Order Cancellation - Duplicate" and written below it states "Incorrect Web Promo. As Per Head Office. JG"

          Second one looks like a normal sales receipt but all the quantities and amounts have been changed to zero.

          So from the looks of it they're just sending out invoices that say you're not getting anything. No mention of a refund yet but if they don't start the process I'll go through Paypal myself.

  • I did a legit purchase at 12:30am for one home mini and I was worried that there was nothing about the bonus being added. I got my docket from gg this morning that shows two on the invoice. Just waiting for the email to pick up

          Yeh they bait you with advertising it as 2 for $78, but at checkout it turns to $0, then switch you to back to the advertised 2 for $78.

          Basic logic.

      If they honoured then I will feel lucky if they don't, it doesn't worry me. You shouldn't complain about their mistake to Fair Trading.

        End result is someone/some people lose their job, all because you want to save a few bucks on a questionably useful machine. Good work.

          it's a POS machine. It's simply designed for Google to track your spending habits. The actual functionality is just a gimmick.

    • I got the pick up email and went in store, being told they wont honor system glitch, they deny any fault and ask me to blame online team. They have stock in store and offer me to purchase

        thinking if i receive the pick up email, should i go or not. as i may ask my wife to pick up. when she find that she won't get anything for 30mins drive. i think i am in trouble. the first day of the new year.

    Just got an snapchat from a friend that works there.
    He received an email notifying that they are only honouring those who paid $78 for 2.

    Everyone that paid $0 + postage will receive an email and be refunded.

    All hope is dead for $4 Home Minis….

        LOL even though ACA's news is low standard, but this is considered too low of a standard even for ACA to care.
