    Are these any good?

    • +2

depends what you're using it for. staples, tyre pressure and nails should be ok, but spray painting, sanding, rattle gun will be less than optimal.

      • +1

Probably a bit of everything - been after one for general DIY around the house stuff for a while. Nail gun probably reason number 1 for now - for skirting boards

Or you can get it with the tool kit for $177. https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-50l-2-0hp-airwave-air-comp…

    • Scored the full kit for $159 @Bunnings Kirrawee :)

      • How did you manage that?

        • +1

Was on the same shelf as the other 1 the OP listed… Funny thing is I grabbed the wrong 1 accidentally, then when I returned it for the 1 WITH fittings etc, they tried 2 charge me the extra $18. I told them they were on the same shelf, luckily I got the last 1 they had, guy from the tool dep’t confirmed they r the same price under the ‘Promo’ deal… :)

Might buy one to clean the computer …

I wouldn't, they tend to spray grease a bit and then there's the issues of static.

      • Well I have and those things never happened. I used to continuously pump the trigger on the er … air gun not use full blast and it makes computers look new, zero dust.

Also how do you propose grease gets inside it?

        • +1

i assume fleabag meant oil, which can seem a bit like grease.

some compressors require oil which can make its way through the air lines.

perhaps your compressor didn't have/require oil, or perhaps it has a filter system. ?

        • @Stitchy:

You are supposed to add air tool oil to most air tools used (unless they are oil free) to keep them lubed up… Air running through them dries out seals quickly… Basically you just send the first few blasts of air away from anything you dont want excess oil on. But agree, best cleaning tool ever for dust 😊

I am looking for one that can do high flow consistently. Any suggestions on a good model?

Holding out for a deal on a belt drive/2.5HP with kit pieces :O(

Hoping to see for around $200.00. Wishful thinking?

try gumtree.. most people want stupid prices for old compressors, but I scored a good deal recently.

        Excellent suggestion.

        Many thanks/best regards.

yeah noisy, so i put mine near my noisiest shittiest neighbour.. and have a retractable 30m hose that puts me far away from it/them :)
