Good find, you could try and price beat @ Officeworks to get it 5% cheaper also by calling 1300 OFFICE.

    • Unfortunately Officeworks isn't part of the $100 cashback

      • Oh damn, thought it was any retailer, thanks for the update :)

    • Unfortunately Officeworks is a non-participating reseller for the Brother cashback. Better to buy from Shopping Express in this instance and claim the $100.

Edit: foonman beat me to it.

Bah! I just bought a printer. Really good find, though third party ink seems to be a bit expensive.

  • How do I get the cashback?

$14.35 delivery fee to Melbourne. Quite reasonable.

    Good review too:

Damn good deal, my sister was asking me about the Brother MFC-J5730DW and that was going to be about $310 after cashback, this is a WAY better deal for her so ordered. Cheers OP!

You're welcome, I had a feeling some ozbargainers were on the hunt for a printer. Enjoy :)

I have one - A3 printing is very handy on the odd occasion.

    • What's scanning like? Duplex? Jams?

  • Got one! Thanks!

  • Dear god…. she's a monster …. nearing on a meter in depth when the trays are fulling extended.

Still, amazingly cheap if you have the room and need A3.

  • Has anyone found a cheap ink system for this model?

LC3319XL don't seem to come cheap!!

    • Well shit, I guess I probably should have looked up what type of ink this takes before purchasing last night also, whoops :P

Seeing $55~60 at best for a 4 pack of each colour on Ebay.
On the plus side I guess I've now always got a 'default' something to add into the cart in order to reach those Ebay minimum spends for the various codes..

On the other hand If you think you can trust chinese/Aliexpress brands then you're looking at a little less.
      $38.65 with shipping
Couple of Au/NZ reviews there which seem to imply that it worked fine for them.

  • Anyone own this? What is scanning like? Duolex scanning is important to me.

    • MFC-J6920DW scanned duplex

  • Out of stock… :(

  • I just bought this printer last night and it seems very heavy (24kg), which is much bigger than I thought.

By the way, is anyone know about its scanning function? Does it have a good resolution when scanning?

    • Hehe, just got a call from my local courier service saying that it exceeds the maximum size or weight for them to post out, and that I needed to come in and pick it up.
Thankfully they're just down the road from me, but yeah it didn't really look all that huge from the videos/pictures I saw when researching it before deciding to purchase.

That 24kg weight surprised me also. Ah well.

  • It's back in stock again.

  • Just got an email response this morning saying my claim has been approved and my money should be in my bank account within 5 days, if anyone was still cautiously dubious or wondering.

A somewhat annoying and unwritten extra step to this process however is that after filling in the online form, you then need to send them a physical letter with the tax invoice included.

  • Any one else in Perth order one? Fastway couriers are f***ing useless. Their website claims 6 days from Sydney to Perth, it was posted on the 8th and still stuck on their website as being between Sydney and Perth.

Yet ordered something else from Sydney last Thursday, was posted on Thursday and got delivered on Tuesday by Aus Post.

    • Porthos, yes fastway is really bad. Ordered on the 5th and only received it 24th. Cash back form needs to be sent to Brothers within 30 days of purchase, which means i have 6 working days to get the letter through to them in NSW. Now my safe option is to post express which will likely cost me 10 dollars to ensure i dont lose the 100 cash back… not happy!

      • Cheers for the reply, still waiting now as the tracking still says in between Sydney and Perth! Didn't even think about that part of the cashback.. Even if it get it delivered tomorrow I won't be home so will have to then take time off to pick it up on Monday. Now as you mentioned about the cashback I'll obviously miss out on that as well. This is turning into a royal screw up and my sister needed this printer last week but I'm the one who convinced her to go with this deal as I was sure it would arrive with plenty of time before she needed it.

Seriously p***ed off about all this.
