Gotta tell us where to go bloke.

    • I think the online catalog will come out on sat (7 days prior), you can get an early copy instore AFAIK.

      • Saturday sales only come out online on Mondays.

Though others may put scans of the physical catalogue online, if anyone spots next saturdays that contains this table saw can you let me know?

'Gotta tell us where to go bloke.'

Aldi has had nationwide standardised pricing as a policy for years now. So I don't think the OP needs to 'tell you where to go' (to use your words). Just go to ANY ALDI.

    • Nope, this is why that's on sale.

A lot of things at Bunnings will only go on sale when Aldi sells a Similar item

      • This one is the O.G.

      • Has anyone here bought one when Aldi has had similar deals in the past? If so, any comment on how they compare with Ozito or Ryobi?

        • This is the same saw as the Ozito at Bunnings, if you haven't already figured that out. Different colour and name badge excepted. Chinese factories churn out tonnes of power tools that get branded by resellers as their own.

        • @bigrizz: The Bunnings one appears to have one additional extension table for the rear. The Aldi advert states only left & right extensions, but it's hard to see from the WorkZone pictures if a rear extension is already fitted. If anyone has an Aldi table saw, could they clarify whether it came with a rear extension.

      • I'm going mad. Thanks

Talk about being ripped a new one. You mitres well chop aldi from any further business.

        • some of these saw jokes are getting a bit dusty

        • @Matt P:
Lucky there is a vacuum attachment, so you can suck it up.

  • Anyone know how hard it is getting blades etc? I bought a battery wippersnipper from Aldi and could never find replacement wire for it. Drives me crazy trying to wind my own into the cartridge and when I do it snaps every 2-5min anyway.
I had stopped buying stuff from Aldi but need a cheap table saw so will consider it if it’s using standard parts.

    • It will just take standard 250mm blades. You may or may not need spacers (which are a couple of bucks at Bunnings), depending on the blade. From memory they had the same arbor diameter.

They are pretty pissweak saws with shitty fences and I am fairly sure the arbor is too short to use a dado stack, fwiw.

      • From memory they had the same arbor diameter.

        … as dewalt 74x series

I am good at finishing sentences.

I get the "PowerFit" line from Bunnings. It comes in a variety of sizes. Doesn't break as often as the other brands IMHO.

  • not sure about aldi vs bunnings and bunnings price drop for “similar” products …. but hen they had the outdoor garden boxes and bunnings dropped their from $209 to $109;to match aldi, i ended up with one of each ….. bunnings was much better quality timber.

not sure about the saws but once specials finish you are more likely to get parts or replacement from bunnings.

bunnings need to sell this stuff every day …. aldi just 4 weeks per year on promo, that said some aldi stuff is great …. their smoker is renamed hark at a cheaper price.

sure aldi will refund if stuff breaks, but sometimes you want the stuff, not a refund.

    • Agreed.

I bought the Aldi Garden Chipper/Shredder.

Have had to replace it twice now. Aldi was no help at all. I found the supplier and they sent me a refurbished unit which lasted less than the original. Still waiting for the 2nd replacement.

      • I'll just go the Bunnings one, it should be plenty for me anyway I think.

Interesting.. I seem to have 2 accounts.
        My bad.
        UserInterface..

      • just take it back for refund??

I took a robot vac back after 2.5yrs and was asked whether I wanted a replacement or refund. (I took the refund and bought a xiaomi)

  • Bunnings has already price matched this for a Ozito 250mm 2000w Saw. The Ozito is usually $219 but is now $148 www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-250mm-2000w-saw-table_p6290539

    Old price- https://web.archive.org/web/20160529021519/http://www.bunnin…

  • Got the Aldi junk mail, and it has a picture of this saw - it's the same as the Ozito, just in red.
The only difference is the +2 years Warranty on the Workzone (so 5 years for Workzone, 3 for Ozito), and I think the Workzone may come with an additional blade.

  • Managed to find one at Rockdale Aldi today and thought I'd do some research on it.

It is actually a rebranded model made by a German company called Scheppach and sells in europe for €150 or £125.

    https://www.scheppach.com/product-details/Tischkreissaege-HS…

You will also see on the box that the after sales address is [email protected]

Looking forward to using it to lay some engineered flooring. Wish me luck! 😊
