    • It looks like most (if not, all) stores have already set their prices for the 20% discount.

    • +1

Unlike all the usual people who blindly up vote every ebay deal before knowing what prices will be.

  • Samsung note 8 import is currently $1115 at amaysim, this would bring the price to $892 which is pretty good (assuming no price hikes)

    • +2

Currently but will it still be that price when the deal starts?

    • I cant find it for sale now :(

  • Finally, time to get a NUC or an equivalent.

    • Anything good in the under $300 range that you can recommend?

      • I was going to get NUC5CPYH but am not sure if it's going to be slow running Windows 10.
Reading reviews like this, guess it should be okay for basic uses.
        Any other suggestions? Thanks.

        • I have one of these runs windows 10 fine without any issues. I am running Ubuntu on it atm though.

        • @flogbag: Thank you for the confirmation!

        • @wooyugil: I do recommend a ssd though. But I recommend them for all machines now days.

        • @flogbag: yup. Definitely getting an ssd with it! Thanks again.

        • @flogbag:

take down 30% performance hit thanks to meltdown & spectre

  • Any Sony 75 inch android tv offers

  • I wonder if there will be any decent GPU deals, prices are pretty ridiculous at the moment. If there is no price jacking the 20% off would mean this 1070 Ti deal is not too bad: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ASUS-ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI-A8G-GTX…

  • +1

Time to get that 28" 4k monitor I've wanted. Post up any good offerings you come across :)

    • Doesnt exist

      • +1

        what doesn't exist ??
this is the one I'm looking at - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-U28H750-28-QLED-LCD-Gami…

        • -1

          Only 60Hz?

        • @Putnum: I won't be gaming on it, mainly general purpose browsing, video editing and occasional movie watching at my desk. Given it's replacing a not-quite-FHD res 24" I think it'll be a nice upgrade

        • +1

Just got that monitor last Ebay sale, amazing quality, good for gaming with 1ms response time. but the only downside is 1 HDMI 2.0 @ 4K 60hz and the other HDMI is outputting 4K @ 30hz (which is terrible). But it’s a good monitor. Also if you don’t mind the TN panel it’s fine.

        • @Putnum: Huh? You think he's going to buy a 28", 4K monitor with 144Hz?

Why would anyone do such a thing? If you're on this website, you won't be buying that.

        • @F4ncy2: Use the Display port.

        • @StoneSin: Yep. That’s what I’m currently doing for my laptop. I’m using a USB C - DP cable.

  • +1

Looking for a 64gb or 128gb micro sd card for my wife's phone, can anyone please recommend a brand and a store? I usually like Sandisk.

i've never bought a sd card online before

    thanks :)

  • +3

Any XBOX One X's in that list

    • I’m really hoping for one

    • I too am interested in this.

    • I am after one too, didn't come across any unless MS decides to run the offer. MS doesn't appear to be on the list (-

  • +2

Damn, no officeworks… :( any of those seller selling the iPad 2017?

  • No Nintendo Switches :(

    • I share your pain :(

  • Can someone find me some high capacity USB3 flash drives?

Still waiting on a 64GB (for $25) from ShoppingExpress.

  • +7

Yawn.. Always the same "retailers" in these 20% off deals who already often have inflated prices..
Just give us 15-20% site wide!!!

    • +4

Forget that. That would be a genuine sale and eBay don’t have genuine sales, just pretend sales from inflated prices often above rrp.

    • +4

I'm scared we will never see another 15-20% sale now that Amazon has fizzed. I actually think Ebay is punishing us for daring to have high hopes for Amazon… :(

  • Any good gaming laptop deals? :)

    • I'm sure the usual few will get posted: dell 7000, lenovo 570p, helios (maybe).

Just cross your fingers and hope for no price jacking.

  • What a pity, even after 20% discount MSY is still cheaper for computer parts….

    • Depends on which parts you are looking up. I find that there are some cheap CPU's, motherboards, RAM, etc. here if there is a 20% discount (and no jacking). But as for case and cooler, the delivered price is greater.

    • Yeah the only seller I could find for new modern parts is futuregear from NZ and they are horrendously expensive to start with.

  • +2

Pc byte has jacked the Bose qc35 already

  • Any of these sellers selling Samsung SD cards? tried the search links and it came back with 0 products

    • Agree. Always plenty of deals on MicroSD cards but never any on standard or high speed SD cards

      • any difference putting micro-SD on SD adapter ?

        • Nope. Basically like a travel adapter.

    • Hey I do see some Samsung SD cards, check this advanced search link

  • +7

Any bargains or just impulse upvotes

  • me thinking the the latter… :(

  • +2

I've been trying to get some good deals on a GPU, motherboard and CPU. After checking out the current prices they're already marked up compared to retail stores. PC Byte has RX 580's for $699 where as they are only about $520 at retail shops. The prices have already been jacked up

    • gumtree…

I got a gigabyte rx580 8gb for $280. It had been used for a week - even had the invoice. This was in December that I purchased.

      • Gumtree speak for a week is 3 months. In a mining rig that's 2000+ hours.

        • haha nah the invoice was what I used to verify the age! :D

        • @bunnybash: Did they try and touch you when you picked it up?

        • +1

@crazyperpman: haha this whole comment thread has taken a dark turn!!

  • Does anyone know the difference between aus and international model pixel 2, I was looking at picking one up, vaya would come down to $799 on this deal, but it says item is from Hong Kong. Allphones au will come down to $839 and says it’s Aussie stock, however there is only 1 left. Am I unwise to purchase the one from hk? Just looking for advice.

    Thanks in advanced

    • +6

IMHO, I'd pay the $40 for Aussie stock for peace of mind as regards warranty.

  • Looking for an HGST 8tb or WD Red 8tb along with a 6 or 8 slot NAS. Any reps watching please make it happen

    • Should have gotten one from Amazon few days ago…

      • I did, I got 3 in one order but didn't want to go over the import threshold for tax and then the deal expired. I want a 4th

  • +1

Price Jack Has already happened i was looking at the 2td hdd still $3.20 cheaper at msy even after the 20% off .Don,t they realize that oz bargainers are
smart shoppers and we are used to there price jack ups .

    • +2

Yes but it’s the non ozbargainers they’re aiming at that will think they’re getting 20% off when they’re not.

    • I don't think they are relying solely on the OzBargain community.

    • +1

Was thinking about msy yesterday to get the Sumsung SSD Evo 850, 250 gb, $124, which ends up to be cheaper than shopping express 122 + postage. But now will now wait to see if someone can post a better deal than that.

  • Any good laptop deals? Friends wants to buy a laptop asap…something like core i3 or core i5 cpu, 4gb or 8gb ram, 14” or 15” screen, gpu not required as it’s for office use. Storage would prefer ssd but hdd would also be ok as we can buy an ssd separately and install it. 240gb storage is plenty :)

  • Anyone find a reputable 3 axis hand held gimble?

    • Get a Zhiyun Smooth Q from dcxpert or wait for the new DJI Osmo Mobile 2 that I think is better.

      • Thanks aljafari! I saw the announcement of DJI osmo 2. Will keep an eye out when they’re released.

        • No Problem.
The funny thing is I'm waiting to get that gimbal first and get a phone probably v30 for that later :D

  • +2

Do you guys think I can save about extra 5% through this way?

    1.buy woolworths e gift cards
    2. Buy ebay gift cards in woolworths store (saving 5%)
    3. Pay with ebay gift cards and use the 20% promo code at a time.

    • +2

Unless I’m mistaken, you need to pay with PayPal to get the 20% discount?

      • And aren't eBay gift cards just vouchers codes anyway? Which means no stacking.

    • You can buy eBay Gift Cards @ Woolworths?

      • yes. there are posts on Oxbargain regarding this

        • +2

          Oxbargain

Any tongue bargains? Been craving kbbq lately.

        • @CVonC:

lol it was a typo on my galaxy note "3". time to get a note 8 I guess? :P

        • @kimyongjeon:

I'm still using that pos! Just installed Phronesis v7.0 last week actually. And it's still a pos ^^

    • You cannot stack eBay GC with promo code

  • Was looking for deals for SSD, is Samsung EVO 850 250gb the best SSD?

  • Well at least they wont be jacking up GFX Cards - they are already jacked due to mining

  • Which store on the list is more reliable for buying a Mobile Phone? Thanks

  • I came here for the price jacking comments :O

  • Any worthwhile deals on gaming keyboard ?

  • Any iPad wifi 128GB deal please?

  • Is price jacking punishable by eBay?
I've been eyeing some products at JW Computers website. Reasonable pricing.
Saw this discount scheme and thought - sweet.
Then realised almost all of their products on eBay have $400-500 price hike compared to their website store pricing.

    • and well above RRP

    • You know, pricejacking is so prevalent in selected seller sales, without it there wouldn't be many sellers to include, at this headline discount % anyway.

So while I'm not saying that Ebay are in any way encouraging the behaviour, they don't really have an incentive to stop it either.

That's why it's more of an ACCC thing.

OTOH, Ebay might have an issue with pricejacking during a sitewide sale, where Ebay is wearing the discount. While it's far less prevalent, it does occasionally occur, and would potentially eat into Ebay's sales. Also it possibly wouldn't even be illegal, as the seller didn't make or sign up to the claim, so the ACCC might not care in that case.

  • These tech limit % off deals are never any real good, as most of the suppliers have to raise their prices and the non participants are usually the same price. You can only get a deal when they mess up, or it's a eBay wide discount. Smart shoppers, shop around.

    Happy hunting.

  • Headphones time maybe? Wonder if the discounts are worth it.

  • great

  • Is there a way to search all of the participating stores at once?

I want to buy a Cryorig H7 CPU fan but not much luck so far for less than PC CaseGear $70 inc shipping.

    Cheers

    PJ

    • Yes you can use the advanced search link from the original post.
Type your search term and it should give you items from the applicable sellers only.

  • Back to bricknmortar stores?

  • Any ways I can search product on these seller only?
