If that is for 1070 video cards what is wrong with that?

Futu is selling this card for $1199.20 after the 20% sale

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MSI-nVidia-GeForce-GTX-1080-Ti-G…

Same card at Hardly Normal is going for $1199.00
    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/msi-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080t…

When your price after discount is more expensive than Hardly Normal's price you're doing something wrong.
(Though it still didn't stop 40 cards getting sold in the last 24hrs…)

    • What greedy assholes, they don't even have the overhead costs of a brick and mortar store to "justify" the costs.

      • They raised the price by $150 since I bought one yesterday, I got it for just over $1000. Surely raising the price while the sale is going is against some sort of rule? Screenshot of my purchase yesterday: https://imgur.com/a/uQmo9

        • Guys, just try and order from Harvey or any other retailer without stock. If they don't have them they won't get them for ages. One supplier told me msi's lead time at present was 42 days! And they are getting so little they can't guarantee stock.

The supply chain slows over Xmas and the mining boom has destroyed stock levels here and globally.

    • A bout 36 hours ago they were selling the same card for about ~$1350. The real question is, how much was it listed at before the sale..

Already mentioned to mods about eBay deal posts ages ago regarding it being spam/advertising. These aren't deals either just blatant tooling around with OzBargain crowd.

The relevant example where Kogan was burnt for doing exactly the same thing: https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/kogan-pays-32400-penal…

Should we be compaining to the ACCC about ebay of the individual retailers?

  • Classic Sydneytec - Arlo Pro 4 System Cameras
    Before Price Jacking - $999 (history AU $999.00 -2xSold - 27-Nov-17 - 16:25:43 AEDST)
After Price Jacking - $1438.80… What the actual ____… Thats crazy price jacking. + $439…. Even after the 20% off its more expensive. ($1150)

  • Anyone to suggest a samsung S7 edge on sale?

  • hmm, ran into issues trying to purchase (never had issues before) so perhaps I missed a step?

only "buy it now" option present, not add to cart like normal.
"bought" 3x of the same item and no where to add the code, I committed thinking it would be on the next screen
Now says I've committed at buying at normal price, huh??

status says not paid as yet, which I haven't

EDIT: I messaged the seller straight away, no replies as yet

austin computer, price jacking samsung pro 1tb $861-$964. reported to ACCC

  • anydeal on iphone 8 or 7?

  • In shocking news, taking 20% off the price PCTECH is charging for the new Tamron 70-200 brings it down from $1819 to $1455…. which is what everyone else is charging.

I chuckled when I saw the ACCC Report form link in deal description

$1651 for a Hisense N765 delivered. I am thinking this is a good deal right?

Futu Online MSI 1080 TI Gaming X.. previous jacked up price was~$1350..then $1499.. Current jacked up price is $1599
Quite the farce. Only on ebay do you get a 'Sale' where the price goes UP as the 'Sale' continues.

  • Air-con was $499.00 now $589.00 20% off = $471.20, so still a saving of $28.00.

  • Austin computers have pricedropped lol on a Synology NAS I was eyeing off.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Synology-DiskStation-DS418J-4-Ba…

    • History shows sold at $457.91 in Jan.

Now it shows up as $509.67

      • Yeh it was 457 this morning but it was 500 yesterday.

        :( That's just dodgy.

  • Austin Computers price jack.
    AMD Ryzen 5 1600X was $318.86 now $354.91

  • JW_Computers Price jack hp sprocket printer click the 9 sold button all were sold for $199 Now with the 20% off sale They cost $219
So Give this seller a wide berth . https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-Sprocket-Portable-Mini-Mobile…

    • So what you are saying is steer clear of this seller because they are selling for $175.20 when all the others were sold for $199?

      • No i'm saying steer clear this seller because he jacked the price up $20 for the 20% sale.

        • It's $20 in a 20% off sale. Not good obviously, but not exactly enough to stop buying (and tell others to as well) from a seller.
Bing Lee has even price jacked - I'll still buy from them though.
$50 or $100 would be different though.

  • luxliving also price jacking.
    $399 this morning….now $499.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Solid-Pine-Storage-Triple-Bunk-Be…

  • Got a GTX1080 ti for $988 delivered

If anyone is interested here's the link:
    https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1080-Ti-SC2-Gamin…

    • Just be careful with Futuregear, there has been a lot of negative feedback with their customer service and lack of after sales communication. Wouldn't want to deal with that in the case of DOA's or warranty claims/returns - also considering they are located in New Zealand (Postage related costs + wait times).

  • Grab a bargain!!
Allphones is selling iPhone X 256gb for $2,088.99, RRP is $1,829

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Au-Stock-Apple-iPhone-X-256GB-Sp…

  • Are there any significant downsides to buying MacBook pros from Hong Kong? What's the warranty situation? Cheers

    • +1

You get 1 year warranty instead of the Apple local 2 year warranty + additional Australian consumer law (ACL) coverage. Recently I had Apple in Perth Repair a 3+ year old Macbook (replaced motherboard & SSD) free of charge under ACL.

      • Appreciate that, thanks.

  • Good deal on a 1080 here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1080-FTW2-8GB-G…

Only store which has kept their prices at RRP. What a rare sight to behold!

They're based in NZ but EVGA do global warranty so should not be an issue.

  • Expired early? trying to order a ssd from futuonline, same with shopping express outlet getting "This code can't be applied to your order." when I apply the code. Tried both "PRAWNS" & "PCTECH"

    • Just tried it and PCTECH works

  • can anyone please spare me a unidays dell discount code..
