  • Will OW, JB or TGG do price match with BingLee? [VIC]

    • +1

      no

    • I have had OfficeWorks price match BingLee before in VIC for a tablet about two years ago. No idea if they still do.

      • +1

If you read officeworks terms and conditions: they will pricematch any item
        • is not clearance
        • is not voucher/coupon
        • Australian manufacturer warranty
        • item in stock

These are the most common things to qualify for price match and price beat.

  • This is the lowest Australian stock price I've seen

It was that price last year at least twice with same ebay/bing lee 20% off :)

    • +9

Sure but that's still the lowest price - it's just happened more than once.

  • wow lte cat16 , this thing would fly for data.

  • Why can't the code be applied to buy galaxy s8 plus @ binglee ebay?

    • The code is only valid for certain items. See the original coupon code deal for details.

  • Then What is price for the Gold color S8 ?, no discount ?

    • No discount. Still the $999 +shipping price.

  • Since the s9 will be coming out soon, do you think the price will get much lower?

    • +5

As sure as night will become day.

      • +1

what do we think “ much lower is” though $200, $400 ?

they were still selling s5 for $300 last year …. so they can still slowly drops prices for s6, s7 and s8 when s9 comes out.

they have phones in all price points unlike LG that drop prices and delete 2 year old models from product line.

  • +1

Big plus from me. S9 is out soon but this is still the phone to beat

  • This price is very high for the phone compared to the last 2 models, the 6 and 7 EDGE, at this period of the year. Both of the predecessors' price would drop to ~$650 starting in early December. It might be a bargain, but could be $150 cheaper.

    • Yeah Maybe march or something and see what happens I will need to maybe offload my s7 but the jump to s8 is quite nice but really all depends on prices.

    Is Australian warranty works internationally?

  • +1

For those out of contract (and don't mind Optus) I think the cheapest is their S8 $59 plan. If you take the $40 sim plan price out of it, works out to $456 for the phone over 24months.

    • But who would otherwise pay $40 sim only? That's crazy talk! I pay ~$15/month on some Lebara deal I picked up a while back for unlimited calls and 5GB data, so the difference is $34/month or $816 - similar to this price, I guess, but without the lock in contract.

      • OK, to be fair, that SIM only plan does include 15GB of data :D Their cheapest s8 plan shows as $62 for me though and only has 2GB, if you needed the 15GB of data you'd need to be on their $85/month plan.

        • +1

          Lebara. You sir fail.

        • @Extremecable: Seems fine for my purposes, but I live in the Melbourne CBD and don't go all that far out, so coverage and speed is fine. Coverage maps indicate that the network is comparable to Optus though, but YMMV, of course :D

I'll probably buy one later in the year for ~600ish and continue with cheap plans.

        • Extra Small
          $ 14.90
          Valid for 30 days
          2GB
          (500MB+1.5GB Bonus)
          Bonus offer ends 28-02-18

          Unlimited talk and text
          to standard national numbers
Top up to get great value international call rates from 1c

          $15 for that? Ripoff.

        • @Extremecable:

Looks like a better deal than Optus if you only need 2GB. I like more, so as I said above…

I pay ~$15/month on some Lebara deal I picked up a while back for unlimited calls and 5GB data

          I have a different plan.

Feel free to point me to unlimited national calling/txt with 5GB of data for less than $15 though, I'll be shopping around once this deal runs out.

    I want non-curved screen samsung!

  • Presumably this is valid for TRS because Bing Lee provide a tax invoice?
