    Erina SOLD OUT!

    =(

  • Any left at Mt Gravatt? [nevermind saw QLD sold out]

  • Adelaide City had some on the shelf with names on them…
Apparently already sold to other people…

    • bummer stores in WA wouldnt hold stock!!

  • If you can find a dse with stock of the 120gig model they may price match as I rang a nearby store and they said if there was a toysrus in the same town they would have.

    • I thought they'd call toys r us to check if there was stock

    • Rang up a couple of places, said they dont have any 120gb stock.

Good luck trying to find a DSE with 120GB PS3s, I called basically 10 stores in central Melbourne, all out of luck and was told by one employee that the last one in VIC Metro was sold today at Forest Hill - most have been sold for the past 2 weeks. They won't price match tomorrow if there is stock, according to the same guy.

No one seems to have any 120GB's left, Big W have very very limited stock (1-5 consoles state wide) but they would match and Myer are like wise, but they've got none in Metro VIC. JB refuse to match it, lower than cost price and GAME + EB don't have them as previously stated.

      • Damn, was thinking of trying that tomorrow. At least you saved me the bother.

  • ..even if the Toys R Us doesn't have stock?

  • I got the last one in victoria i just got jb to check all other stores and yes they did price match

    • So what we need now is a scan of the JB receipt and then all the other JB stores should price match the other JB store and the power of ozb can move the sale from one retail chain to another… (assuming stock of course).. :)

    • If you did actually get JB to price match then post the receipt as every store i've spoken to refuse to price match., other wise it's ducktales.

      • -2

i didnt get a receipt i got a invoice as they where transfering the stock

  • +3

I went to the JB at Macquarie Centre earlier and the guy wouldn't price match the Castle Hill store when they did have stock.. only the closest Toys R Us (which was Chatswood which didn't have any left). He told me it was too cheap and below their cost price. I then rang up Parramatta Westfield JB and the guy was really helpful and he said if they had stock in store then they would price match it! Sad that they didn't have any left :( He also said it was up to the store's discretion though but still a shame..

I'm still surprised this wasn't on OzB earlier?

    • +1

      I'm not surprised at all.
Most ozbargainers spend their time on ozbargain instead elsewhere looking for bargains.
That's why most of the good deals come from first posters.

      • +6

most of us are too busy working or going to university.

        • +5

When you say working.. you mean reading ozb/interwebz while at work don't you.. :)

        • no, i am at work!

  • you can get them to transfer stock ask them to do that

    • +1

Wouldn't matter now, none left at any Toys R Us in NSW :( Doesn't seem like there's any left anywhere now haha

  • WTF. Can't believe I missed out on this one, absolutely amazing bargain, congrats to all those who got one (or more!)

  • Thanks OP, I cant get there today, but ill camp out tonight and get in there first thing in morning.

  • Yeah all sold out in WA. Canningvale had 8 and sold out in 1 hour. They were the last store.

Well, these types of events do bring the price down overall… i.e. maybe you can get one on eBay for 250 or Gumtree in 3 months for 200.

    • +5

it seemed that most stores had around 10 and that to me is plenty of stock for one store serving a local area, especially considering they were EOL.

For those trying to price match.

Sold out in Townsville about an hour ago, I saw a staff member get the last one :(
    At least he was happy

    • lol :D

I'm going to check tomorrow (incase they suddelny find stock somewhere). - it's also the day when University offers are released :O.

    • its actually against company policy in some places for staff to purchase these kinds of clearance items..

oh well if they got away with it, God bless

      • IT'S A TRAP!

  • +1

So should this be marked as expired - is the whole country sold out?

  • +5

I Just spoke to a guy in JB Hifi Macathur Centre Brisbane, they have 1 left and willing to price match.
I just decided no to get it, so good luck to whoever going that way.

  • Got final 2 from Erina. thanks to the poster!

  • +1

Dammit! was too late again :(

  • -7

    Got the last 2 from p'matta :D
    now to gumtree them :P

  • +4

    OMFG!!
I was at Chadstone delivering stuff TO TOYS R US at around 11am…
I had no friggin idea there was an epic sale on just meters from where I was standing…
    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    • at least you didn't spend 45 minutes ringing around and finally finding stock only to be told 'we can't hold any items for you' 'no you can't pay over the phone', stupid store policies!

      • +1

The Gold Coast store said I couldn't hold. I mentioned I'm driving from Ipswich (1hr+ drive) and they agreed hold for 2 hours.

  • Can someone confirm if Mt Gravatt are out?

    • It's on page one.

      demere 7 hours 58 min ago ¶
Just rang Toys’R’Us at Mt Gravatt aka Garden City (Qld) and they were sold out. :((

I need to thank demere. I was trying to phone Mt Gravatt when that message was posted. It saved me some time. Thanks!

  • anyone got a receipt from a new/sydney store?
i wanna try my luck at price matching!

  • +2

IF ANY one ..I mean anyone got a pricematch from a store other than Toys R us then please post the freaking receipt.
Wait don't bother with that..just post it as a deal, you WILL probably get more votes than the original deal, given so many people missed out!

  • Harvey Norman at Garden City, Mt Gravatt wouldn't price match.
They had 5 in stock priced at $350ish.
Selling at a loss and no competitor stock blah blah etc etc.

  • any news for ADELAIDE, South Australia?

  • Hows the PS2 selling at most stores??

    Does this end today?

    • sell them directly to us here on Ozbargain.

    • +3

Not cool… when bargains like this come out people should be more willing to share them around. Big Neg to Toys R Us for allowing people to

a - walk in and buy up more than one unit
b - let staff get away with crap like above

    • +1

As the saying goes, Post a picture of receipt/items, or it never happened. : )

    • +1

      Successful troll is successful.

    • Send me a link to the sale?

  • -4

    Who want PS2 for $70? :)

      • at least it has linux compatability

  • Tried my local BIG W who have stock, they refused to budge as it was online only and they require a catalogue. If anyone has any luck post the receipt.

    • Which BigW did you tried mate? Wanna try some BigW as well, but slight chances if I read the posts here…

    • There is a reciept posted above, but dont they check if ToysRUs are in stock?
Let me know how it goes

    • There is a reciept posted above, but dont they check if ToysRUs are in stock?
Let me know how it goes

      • Sorry I meant a Big W receipt.

I tried South Yarra, called last night and they said that the 120gb wasn't sold at Big W, which isn't right but went in store this morning and was told by the guy in electronics that they have a 120gb but won't budge on price. He said it was most likely the last in Victoria since head office told stores to clear them asap.

EDIT - They are suppose to check ToysRUs for stock but he was more interested if it was advertised in a catalogue.

        • Ledger, which store was it? As I plan to check my local Big W soon :)

  • Stop wasting your time with JB mc Arthur Brissy, they are not price matching

  • Just rang JB Kotara wont price match as dont have any in stock

  • Hirokuro: It was Big W South Yarra, Victoria - the guy didn't tell me if it was a demo model or new as he didn't get it from the back store room since I wasn't going to pay full price for it. Give them a shot, likewise with Myer.

  • Mark as closed.. none left anywhere by this stage.
None in WA. And I tried price matching everywhere, no competitors have 120gb's anymore, they all cleared theirs out long ago.

  • i am working in retail, sorry cant tell the company name, but nationally we have 2 in stock.
i dont think the store will price match this because the invoice price is way much higher than this.

  • +1

Also nil stock Campbelltown [sold the one they had on hold for me :( ], Wollongong and ACT stores.

    • -7

no more anywhere. time to neg

      • +1

Why neging when this deal was valid. It's not like this is a fake deal or anything. You just missed out.

And anyways anyone who bought from Victoria, maybe you can kindly post a receipt. Thank you.

Something to think of, DSE have a one day deal for 320GB PS3 for $449
    with free delivery

    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG0255WEB/ps3-320gb-console-…

    • pretty sure limit was 50..so probably sold out my now!

    • +4

seriously ? comparing it to this deal.. u are paying $250 extra for additional 200GB HDD space

      • good compared to the regular 160gb price though, I'm glad he posted it.

      • After seeing this deal, it makes me hesitant on buying a PS3 at full RRP.

    • deal is off. :(

  • Guess there'll be a ton of 120gb PS3s popping up on Ebay tonight.

  • I would have payed $300 for 1 of these

    • I thought they normally sell for around $249 - $300 unless they are bundled with something.

I bought 2 out of 6. It was very much an impulse buy. I haven't used my fat PS3 in almost a year. I thought a family member would want one but they didn't. Hmm…

      • +1

I'll take it off your hands. Either of them actually.

        • -3

I'm not sure what I want to do. If I do sell one it would be easier if the person is local. Sorry.

    • I would pay $400!

        • do they ship to aus/warranty in aus?..atleast they got the right idea here "LIMIT 1 PER CUSTOMER"

        • Umm that is the US site in case you didn't realise.. what is the deal with PAL versus NTSC and warranty by Sony as mentioned. Plus no doubt the postage cost would bring it much closer to $400

        • DOH! Must have been the tears in my eyes led me to miss that.

      • Sage, i have a friend who got one..he'd be willing to sell it for that if you're interested and in melb?

      • I will sell You one for $400

        • +1

sorry guys, I ment one from a retailer. I want my money going to Sony, being the fanboy that I am.
Also I have a few gift cards from the Cup Of Rewards program that I ordered to use on a PS3.

  • Picked one up last night from Castle hill. The chick said they were sold out, but I kindly asked nicely if she could look around the back, and BAM she fond one sitting out back ^_^

    • That one was probably already bought by some pimply staff member, and now they are out there accusing all their co workers of pinching their ps3. Serves em right.

  • I went to JB Mccathur in Brisbane. They werent willing to price match but gave me one for $299.

    • +1

Receipt Please! Can try to get a price match from local JB hopefully.
      $299 is still very good.

      • Will they let you price match, you live in a different state

  • Highpoint might have one left mabye as they apparently had like 15, Geelong has Ps2's left also.

  • +1

I went to a store near me today, knowing that they sold out yesterday, asked some guy who appeared to be a manager of some sort and he said they got 4 in earlier today from another store and already sold 3 of them.

Guess who got the last one for said price? :D

    • Which store was this rloos? You were very lucky!

  • For those wanting the older PS2 (not sure if they have sold out as well or not) you can get it online and delivered free from BigW I saw today.

    http://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/co…

    Edit: For $108

  • Don't give up hope I priced matched today with a competitor and I'm going to get another tomorrow
