    Damn that's pricey

Last gen Intel CPU, and not overclockable
Only 8gb of ram at this price?
No brands listed for any components = cheapest they can find
    Kogan's mediocre warranty support

Not terrible with ridiculous memory and GPU prices these days but not great

    • how do you know what gen it is?

      • +1

The latest intel desktop i7 generation is 6 core only, this is 4.

        • But it could also be gen 6 or gen 5..

          @lostn:
          Those have a lower clockspeed.

      • i7 Quad core. New i7 are 6 cores.

How is this a bargain? You can get better builds at PcMeal Ebay with a better graphic card/processor etc.

    Not a bargain, sorry.

Considering I just put this together in 2 minutes without even looking at prices, I'd say that build is average/above average price.

Add $50 for a legit Windows 10 key (plenty out there). Total price is roughly 50$ under. Delivery not included for either.

  • Umart

Just add a extra 100$ and get the same cpu and it’s still over 200$ cheaper and not so god damn ugly.

umart 2 add a extra 20$-$100 going to the i5 range of the 8 series or $200 to go to the I7 8 series and its still about the same price as this "deal". and superior in performance by a long way.

in terms of custom builds this is getting into the ballpark of 1080/1080ti builds ( dam these recent price spikes really screw things up lately for us gamers).

  • I have a feeling that this is not the latest Gen Intel since it's a 4-core as opposed to 6-core. Could be Kaby Lake 7700k CPU.

    • Yeah this would be the i7 7700

  • Ruslan, is that you?

What makes it look like "a good deal" to you? For example, it's a lot more than comparable good Dell deals have been.

We're not poor, we're ozbargainers and we want good stuff at a good price.

Actually, regardless of whether one is poor or not, you don't want to be overpaying for outdated technology.

    • +5

Lol. I guarantee plenty of Ozbargainers have much nicer gaming PCs than this.

      • I paid over $2k for mine and it absolutely shits on this rig.

      • Lol. this is the truth… hell even my monitors for my gaming set up are over 2x this price.

should have gone with drugs it would have been cheaper.

    • +1

wants good stuff but shops at Kogan

cognitive dissonance is strong in the OP

    • "Too Poor" - Classic post for Ozbargain.
Especially given your $500 more expensive than DIY at non-disounted regular store prices. You might as well go get an Alienware, which is not much price different to the Kogan deal you posted. I know what my "Too Poor" dollars would go to if I had to pick Kogan vs Alienware.

    • +1

You guys are just too poor to afford good stuff.

No, we're just too cheap to waste money.

  • "VR Ready Beautiful in the InWin 101"

    SOLD!

  • Neg vote bandwagoners.

  • Spectre and Meltdown infected.

    • Are there any not affected by it?

  • Sorry, no deal - as mentioned before even the previous Dell deals were a lot better - better specs with lower price and at least there is the brand as well.

  • Kogan shill?
