  • Hmm i got the 55" Braun Tv and it has the worst sound ever. I'm using a Marley Bluetooh speaker via aux cord atm. Tempted to get this..

  • Only 2.0ch so no sub but would be 100 times better than any TV speakers

i mean, you can go wrong… it can be rubbish, and you just wasted $99…

HT-CT80 is the Sony equivalent and it has a sub.

Picked it up for $99 a while ago so if you have patience, I'd wait.

      $99?! From where and when?

And most importantly, why didn’t you Ozbargain it for the rest of us!

It was an OzB deal! One of their 12 Days of Christmas ones at the end of 2016??

    • Currently $199 at JB's, $99 is a pretty big discount.

      • Yeah that's what I paid for mine and I'm still happy with that price.

Depending on how big the speakers are in this soundbar it could be fine, but a sub makes a huge difference.

I heard HT-CT80 is the Sony equivalent and it has a sub.

I know someone who picked it up for $99 a while ago so if you have patience, I'd wait.

      😀

      • Cheeky haha

  • I've got this, it is better than tv speakers by far, good for the price. Bluetooth is a bit fiddly but works.
Biggest hassle? No HDMI input and no RGB input so it's either digital video or a headphone jack.

  • This is a good deal and good value for what you are paying.

I recently bought a Yamaha Soundbar which is on special at VideoPro for $197 (save $152 - Which am about to post) and I personally prefer it because Total 120 W output of sound (30 W x 2 + 60 W built-in subwoofer) AND Built-in subwoofer x 2, Bass reflex port x 2 for deeper bass.

Sounds good but is it equivalent?

      • Equivalent in terms of connectivity, wall mountable etc. The Yamaha is 120W and has the Dolby Surround and DTS with inbuilt subwoofer, whereas this is only 80W and doesn't have those other features.

The Yamaha was up on OzBargain for the first time on discount a week ago (see https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/357376) and the comments seem just as positive as my experience was.

When I bought mine from VideoPro I tried to negotiate the price lower to match Bing Lee however they couldn't get any lower than $192 which was cost plus $1

  • What is the "Panasonic Music Streaming App" for??

  • Does anyone know if this unit has a HDMI ARC connection?

Bought a Linden 32" TV and whist the picture was fine the sound quality was truly awful. I saw the Good Guys had this on special (Panasonic 80 Watt Soundbar)for $99 (just $20 than the Linden 40 watt online for $79 but $99 same price in store) This makes TV time much better. The Sound from this soundbar is clear, full and with the clear voice setting makes it more of a pleasure. I have just run audio from TV with RCA cables and works fine. I have not tried the Blue Tooth but nice that it is there if I just want to stream music from my laptop or phone. Only thing would be nice to have is a visual volume indicator e.g. digital read out or level display on front. Otherwise great unit 9/10.
