    • When you get the fan can you please confirm if it works with the Mi Universal IR controller? Thanks

      • Yeah, I'll let you know. In my experience, only air conditioners have their own special multi codes. They are adding a lot of remotes to deal with that anyway.

        • It works with mi remote. Go to fan, search for midea. It syncs!

        • @HL2:

When you said it syncs, does it mean the xiaomi remote is able to know the current state of the fan through IR?

  • Note these automatically cut out after 12 hours, which can't be adjusted.

That means no good for constant efficient air exhaust, which is what i had in mind for one…

    • Mine works 24/7. 12 hours limitation is only when you set timer

      • Mine doesn't, consistent with Page 4 of the manual which says:

        Automatic Shutdown
After 12 hours of running uninterrupted, the fan will automatically turn off

        No mention of timers there…

Are you sure we're talking about the same fan?

  • Does anyone have any experience with the "non-premium" Kogan DC Motor Pedestal Fan? (currently out of stock).

I'm interested in whether the fan strength is equivalent to the OP's, and whether it will also automatically cut out after 12 hours (the manual doesn't say anything about this, but it does have a count-down timer up to 7.5 hours according to the manual).

  • For those that have this fan. I'd appreciate if anyone can assist me with a question

Mine arrived today and I have unpacked it. You have to attach the bottom "tube" to the base, using the 3 butterfly screws. Mine seems there is part missing. the bottom of the tube is hollow. It sits on the base fine, but there is nothing to screw into. Put the butterfly screw up though the base, as the "tube" has no base, so they are just screwing into nothing.

Am i missing something, either a part, or a concept? I just cant see how you could possibly ATTACH the tube to be base with the parts i have.

    Thanks

    • LOL mine arrived today as well and I have the exact same problem. The butterfly screws are incorrect size and the holes of the base and the tube don't even align. Contacted Kogan and they want me to ship the whole thing back to them.

      • That bites. I'm in process of raising a support log with them.

If they tell me to pack and ship the lot back i'm going to be very displeased.

        • That's the only option. They don't have any spare parts.

          @jackofspade:

How did they say to do it. My expectation would be that they send courier to me. No expense or further inconvenience for me and I have no time to haul that big box to a post office

        • @brisneylander:
I think they will send me a PrePaid AusPost Label.

  • Is there any way to tighten up the tilt up/down pivot? Mine keeps falling down…

    • +2

Just fixed it. Undo the two small screws just under the motor and lift it up. Then tighten up the bolt/nut in there. Just a little bit not too hard or it wont pivot at all :)

Was going to sign up to purchase these but didn't need to today. Will join later when I need to purchase something else, hopefully they don't end the free trial anytime soon.
