    Twice the turn-on

    • +2

I was quite turned on posting it.

I love Sale Of The Century.
      What is a threesome.

  • +2

more xiaomi yeelight for party. :D

  • +1

thanks got one for my Yeelights.

  • -1

When would you use this? Spotlights? But you can't turn it… Just buy a brighter bulb?

    • +5

I think this is ideal for people that stocking up on the yeelight bulbs from previous deals. You could not find a brighter yeelight :) so it's better to combine them.

  • +24

I wouldn't trust something like this not to burn my house down O.o

Power double adaptors are silent bombs in waiting I'd hate to think I said nothing now and someone's house burnes down in 5-6 ulyears when it fails.

    • +5

Well, yeah, I mean…don't fish live underwater?

    • +5

Not sure why you are downvoted - this was the first thing I thought as well when I saw it. Cheap double adaptors are super dangerous - can't see how this would be any different.

    • +6

Power double adaptors could be passing 10A.

The 0.1A or so you might be drawing with LED lights is unlikely to cause any problems with one of these.

        • +8

There is a potential 10A at the fitting, but that doesn't mean anything if you aren't drawing it through the splitter.

        • +9

Max amps is potential, not constant.

The adaptor will be live with 230v.
If nothing is connected to it then it will be providing 0 amps, 0 watts.

        • +3

Doesn't matter what the bulb is drawing because the full 10A is still being supplied to the fitting (0.1A will only kick in on the bulb side of the adaptor).

230V is being provided to the socket. Current is drawn by the load, the light. Most LED lights are around 9W, drawing ~39mA (ignoring impedance, phase shift and harmonics).

You could buy 31 of these, create five layers of piggy backs and draw just over 0.6A with LED lights. It will fail mechanically, so don't, but current is not a problem with these double adapters.

        • Its a potential of 10A, that doesnt mean everything connected is "sucking" for lack of a better word 10A. There is no reason why a light such as atypical light bulb or two or three would ever come close to 10A.

        • +1

@ninetyNineCents: There is a better word - it's called "drawing".

    • +17

I wouldn't trust something like this not to burn my house down O.o

then definitely buy a dodgier one to ensure your house is burnt down.

      • +1

        * definitelydefiantly

      • +2

Don't forget to use it in a light located next to a Xiaomi Powerstrip, in the same room as a Xiaomi smoke detector.

    • But these ones are top in quality, reliable.

    • Don't run a heater and a toaster off it at the same time and you should be right!

  • +11

'anti-aging' - buying one to strap to my face.

    • You and your significant other can use it together :)

    • +5

'anti-aging' when you sick your finger into it while the switch is on…

  • +12

In light of this deal I would like to say that there hasn't been a yeelight deal in ages. Screw that, I hate being kept in the dark about these things. I hope we can switch this around and have a bright day.

    • +2

      Watt did I just read?

      • +2

        Ohm my goodness

    • +4

That sent quite a tingle down my spine. Is the most electrifying thing I've read all day.

Let's hope that the lack of yeelight deals is not ohminous of things to come.

      • I am a down to earth guy. But it looks like you are in for a long faraday.

    • -1

      More, more!

    • +6

      your puns are shocking.

      • +5

Try to be a little more positive, if that is too much resistance for you, at least be neutral.

        • +2

          I like the current situation

    • +1

Ohm my, your comment has really sparked my interest. I too would be de-lighted to see another yeelight deal, depending on what they charge. Let's petition Zapals; there's real power in numbers.

    • +2

      Revolting

  • +4

I sense some resistance to these current deals.

  • +2

Does it meet Australian standards? Doubt it.

    • +2

You need the B22 socket splitter for that.

  • Buy now think later. It's cheap :)

  • -3

Good thing about Zapals is they sell but the don't send the item! I started off with them with two free items, which I received, then two paid items that I didn't receive.
I thing their strategy is to check the overall balance and then decide whether they send it or not and probably if you complain they might say OK we will send you another one or will give you refund. but because most items like these are cheap many won't bother complaining.
But I won't buy anything from them anymore.

    • +3

I've gotten quite a few of these Zapals deals, all have arrived.

    • +1

I used to be the doubter about Zapals as you, they proves me wrong.

However, the longest wait is 46 days, the quickest is 17 days, out of 20 orders so far.

  • +1

Can i plug this into my E22 to E27 adapter or are we getting dangerous?

  • I plan to run a copper wire between the two fittings

  • +1

Lol, "high density nut interface" … what?

    • Typical autocorrect error.
      High density nuts in-her-face

      Please don't hurt me.

      • Maybe you like being hurt 😉

  • -8

Can someone enlighten me as to why this is a "bargain"?

    • +7

You have to buy it first and put some bulbs in to become enlightened.

      • +1

….orrr for the genuine non-spending ozbargainer….assume lotus position, clear mind and chant repetitively "oohhmm, oohhhmmm,…"

        • You forgot to mention asking your 2 for 1 Google home minis to pay rainforest sounds.

    • +5

Less than a dollar delivered. An you find it cheaper?

    • +3

I really cannot find a lower price … can you?

    • +2

      Saving 10c is a bargain - apparently

  • Why can't I find b22 splitters like this??

  • +2

Pair it with bargain home and contents insurance….

  • Thanks to many posters for the laughs!

  • Don't think I'll risk a house fire with this cheapo

  • placed one order from this website on 31 dec 2017, still haven't receive anything…

    • Give it another week or two. Ordered quite a few of these Zapals deals, some arrived in two weeks, some took over 6 weeks.

  • Totally not worth the safety risks using something like this to save a few bucks.
Half the 'free' shit I've bought from Zapals hasn't worked or has broken fairly quickly (pretty much only some Xiaomi products and an electric toothbrush have been reliable).

    • This is perfect for those who have insured all their valuables, got good insurance, then sold their valuables on Gumtree.

      Time to double down

  • Merged from E27 to 2 E27 LED Bulbs Socket Splitter @ Zapals - Has Anyone Received Theirs?

Referring to this deal which the comments section is now closed.

Almost 2 months now. Just wondering if anyone has received theirs yet?

    • nope…wondering if I should buy one from elsewhere. It's been ages.

    • Still nothing.

    • Received mine today finally! 2 months and 10 days.

      • yep me too!

      • 81 days and arrived. Can't remember why I wanted it.
