  • Just last week I recharged for $199 a year. Bring a upgrade offer so we can pay the difference and upgrade to higher plan.

    • Ouch

    • Call customer service for an upgrade if you want to swap for 2 of the 119 plans. 1300 126 122.

      • Customer service says it's not possible to swap the plan once it is active

        • Would you mind sharing your Lebara phone number on a PM so we can contact you.

        • @Outthere: finally I could upgrade it. Thanks for your help

  • Vodafone network sucks is there any similar deal on Optus or Telstra network ?

    • Let us know if you find one.

  • Op, Just bought the large plan and about to port my number from Kogan, can I buy another large pack now and recharge it after 6 months of expiry of my 1st pack? As you mentioned above there is only 60 days to activate. cheers

    • +1

Buy two now and activate both at the same time

    • +1

Even if you apply the second voucher now it will stack to the first one

  • If I want to use this deal for a year, buy 2 x medium starter pack (180days) and then activate at the same time?

    • +1

      Yes, that's it.

      • +1

If you buy a starter pack and a voucher you'll save us on the plastic. Starter pack comes with a blank SIM and a PIN. Recharge is a PIN only. Either way you can stack.

        • How long does it take for a sim to arrive?

        • @TarquinOliverNimrod: it's up to Australia Post really but generally within 5 working days. The PIN is emailed so you could pick up a SIM for $2 at Coles or Woolies if you don't want to wait.

        • @TarquinOliverNimrod: 5 to 7 business days

    • I believe the proper way is a starter pack and a recharge voucher. Activate the starter pack sim then add the voucher?!

  • Hey op can I buy this and add it to my wife’s existing lebara plan?

    • Yes you can buy a recharge voucher and add it to existing Lebara account.

  • +1

The GF is currently with Lebara, I'm with actual vodafone - she gets constant periods, like several days at a time, of absolutely no data. No thanks

    • +1

That'll happen when you use all your data. If you use it all you need to wait until your next 30 day allowance is released. If you are in the middle of a 30 day plan and you recharge it queues your next plan. It means that you don't lose any days of unlimited national / international. We have data packs to bridge the gap or get a bigger plan.

  • How is this better than the Kogan plan?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/359466

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-mobile-prepaid-voucher-co…

Kogan Mobile Prepaid Voucher Code: MEDIUM (365 Days | 6GB Per 30 Days)
    $205.60

    = $16.90 / 30 days

and you get 20% extra data than your offering.

Trying to penny and dime us in the wrong department and you'll lose much more.

    • +2

It's not really like-for-like. No international calling at Kogan, for one.

Depends on what you need as to which is better. For me with luddite relatives overseas who I'm never going to convince to get on WhatsApp, unlimited international calling is amazing.

      • Fair enough. I've already convinced all relatives to use VoIP since it's cheaper for all of us.

        • How is VoIP cheap? Share any info pls

        • @TarquinOliverNimrod:

Because the amount of data used by VoIP is minimal? vs whatever your international call rate is?

        • @Blitzfx: don't you still have call rates on VoIP?

        • @TarquinOliverNimrod:

Oh, well Skype, Whatsapp, Line are VoIP. Calling to landline is not free.

    • as the OP said, if you need or want international to those listed countries then it is better. if you don't want or need then Kogan is better

    • International calling is the main difference. So, it really depends on an individual’s needs.

    • We are all on Kogan, but with the extra calls and able to roam imo Lebara is better for the L plan. You pay $238 for 1 year on Lebara with the bonus overseas calls. I have already bought Kogan (even though it cost me only $180 for 1 year of L), otherwise I’d think about Lebara because the overseas calls is an extra bonus.

  • Just checking OP, my current plan expires at the end of this month, so would it be fine if I bought the sim+recharge today and waited til my current prepaid month expires before porting over?

    • 60 days to use it

      • Ahh thanks! Can't believe I missed that.

    • No problem. You have 60 days. The plans stack too so when you eventually port you could recharge two at once and be inside the 60 days (if you want a year).

    • +1

Yep 60 days start from the date of purchase and 10 days of February are already gone so you will still have time if your plan expires this month so you can easily port your number from other provider to Lebara and apply voucher

  • Good deal for calling the countries listed. I need unlimited calls to India so will skip buying for self this time.

    • You still have unlimited to 3 numbers (which can change each month) plus 250 mins from the $5 credit.

      • Or large plan has $10 credit, which would be unlimited to three numbers plus 500 minutes and plenty data for WhatsApp and FaceTime calls.

  • So this is better for old ppl or ppl with old relatives oseas.

    • Chronologically challenged.

  • I must be missing something,I pay $40 a month to Optus and get the usual unlimited SMS etc.etc.and talk for as long as I want using Whatsapp to family in Japan,Thailand and Italy….the plan included a new Iphone SE.

    • +2

It adds flexibility to get a phone. For example I'm using a cheapy xiaomi for $200, so it works out to be around $25/month if I use this plan. For others, they may like the freedom of shopping around rather than being on a 24mo plan.

  • Hey rep, where is the place to enter the coupon code? Can't seem to find it. Thanks.

    • +1

Add to cart then once you click it, I think under the box containing the products there is a coupon code box.

      • This ^^

      • Thanks! Was very frustrating till your post!

        • How do you add the coupon , I can not see any box , add to cart 2 items many times but can not see the box . Thanks

Edit : Found it , thanks

  • Can we buy SIM in supermarket for this offer?

    • +2

pretty sure it'd be fine since they just send a $2 starter kit anyway

    • +1

Yes just buy a recharge voucher.

      • +1

Thanks guys. Yes buy a voucher and grab a Lebara SIM anywhere you find one. Coles and Woolies are probably the easiest for you.

  • +1

My current plan expires in June, gonna miss out this time.
Kogan voucher usually has longer expiry.

  • What about Text & MMS to India?

    • +2

We're working on opening up the $5 included credit for international text. No firm date though sorry.

  • I just ported from Lebara to Kogan today for a 30-day plan. Can I use the Lebara sim I already have to re-activate and port back next month for this plan?

    • Yep you can port your number back to Lebara and you can do this by buying a recharge voucher with a sim pack. Unfortunately old sim won’t work.

  • Hello Outthere,
I was on the 7gb National plan for the past 6 months, now I have recharged for 1 month on the 5Gb Medium Plan. Can I move onto the 16Gb large plan and also buy 2 vouchers so I can stack them for the whole year.
    Thanks

    • Yes, definitely you can. So once your 30 day national plan expires your long term plan will start automatically after voucher pin has been applied to the account

  • +1

Does Lebara have access to VoLTE?

  • Hi Outthere

The condition in your Lebara site for the 16GB large plan 180days stated that:

Promotion Terms:*16GB Data includes 10GB Plan Inclusion + 6GB recharge bonus on activation before 30.04.2018.

    Question:
what do you mean we need to activate before 30/4/18 before we can get the 6GB bonus data? And are you sure we can get the 16GB for each month in the 12 months if we buy 2 number of 180 days large plan vouchers by stack one after another? Because I don't wish the get the 6GB bonus data for the 1St month only.

Other than the above minor questions, I m fully supporting you guys Lebara as I have been using Lebara for a few years already with no issue at all and I m a happy customer!

    • You've got it right,16 GB for the life of the plan. When you recharge before 30.04 it locks the data into your plan. If you did 2 x 6 month vouchers it would be for the whole year. After 30.04 if you used the same voucher you would get 10GB only.

  • I placed an order using the large plan link in your post, when receive the confirmation email I realised that it's a recharge voucher not a start pack. The price is the same though. Can you update the post to avoid confusion? Also, would you be able to help fix my order? Thanks!

    • Ragnarok, please email your order number to [email protected] and we will make sure to ship a sim to your address mentioned in your order.

  • Hi I dont find a place to put the code in
Please help if anyone made it for $119 ?

    • CThomas, you get to add this code on the page appears after you add product to your cart and click on go to shopping cart. Hope this helps.

  • Does Lebara offer VOLTe coverage and calls. I am told it is superior than 4G.
Asking because I live in area with poor coverage and wonder if it is better to go direct to Vodafone

    • VOLTE stands for Voice over LTE and LTE is the name for the type of 4G used in Australia. Basically 4G calling. So if you don't have great 4G coverage this will do nothing for you.

VOLTE provides faster call connections and allows you to use 4G data while on a call.

We use the same Vodafone network so for you there would be no benefit in going to Vodafone.

For others that are desperate for VOLTE and with a compatible phone then that's the only difference in going direct to Vodafone.

Or just wait, like 4G, VOLTE is likely to come to Vodafone MVNOs in due course.

  • I'm on Aldi and it's nice to have access to those Telstra towers out in the country on my Chinese market grey import phone, but I live in the city so could be worth using the Vodafone network if the $180 deal returns, that's a $70 saving.

  • Hi Rep, why you guys dont support international roaming? That is a deal breaker for me as even just simple incoming sms is so handy while you are roaming for all those otp requests and bank sms.

    • +1

Yep I hear you and we have something in pipeline. Not now but you will definitely see it available hopefully in 2018

  • Hi
Bought 2 large , will port my number from Aldi to Lebara before 30-04-2018 , does this come with sim or not ?

    • We do have both options. With and without sim. Price is same. If you PM me your order number I can check. If you forgot to order one with sim we can always send you one which may take 5 to 7 business days. Otherwise our $0.00 sims are available in coles and woollies if you would like to activate it straight away.

  • Wow! This is very good, I have already bought Kogan otherwise I would contemplate this because it comes with free overseas calls (I have a friend that I call sometimes in the Uk)

  • Hey OP and deal as other mention as good as the last year 360 for $180 which is cheaper? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/319694

Also once you buy how do you stack?

    Thanks

    • You can still buy 2 of these 6 month vouchers and once you recharge with both it will stack automatically

  • @Outthere I recently got Lebara 360 day 5 gig per 30 days and I cannot call anyone on Rebtel. It says, you cannot call using Lebara mobile. But Rebtel works fine on my wife's Lebara number. Anything that you can help with?

  • How does it work? I just ordered one. Do I now have to wait for the sim and the code to register or will the code be sent to my email?? Thanks. I do not want to wait for the sim.

    • We can email you the voucher pin. Please send your order number via PM and will get this emailed ASAP. Sim delivery does take 5 to 7 business days or sometimes less than that.

  • Does anyone know if I could get this and use on a cellular iPad Pro for using the data allownance? Some of the data-only plans are outrageously priced in comparison to these.

  • Ordered 2 x recharge vouchers and have now noticed that the order says the vouchers will be mailed to me.

Is that correct or will the vouchers be emailed as I've already ported my number over? (or did I stuff up the delivery option during the order?)

    • +1

Yes it will be emailed to you. PM me your order number and I will get this sent to you ASAP.

  • Hi how long to get the voucher by mail
    Its been 5 hours
    Has anyone got?
    Thanks

    • Apologies. There could be a delay as it’s outside of business hours. PM me your order number and I will get this emailed to you as soon as possible.

  • can i use this overseas? travelling to japan in may looking for best data deal

    • We can’t say that international roaming will be available to customers by that time however it is definitely in pipeline for 2018 if all goes well. Currently we don’t have international roaming.

  • Hi rep I ended up buying the voucher but even after entering the OZB98 voucher it turns out that I was charged the full $160 amount? can you please look into this? I have already emailed customer support

    • I have sent you a private message. Please share information.

  • Hi @Outthere,

My Kogan Mobile account runs out on 10th July 2018.

I want to port my number from Kogan to Lebara.

If I were to buy 1 SIM card and two recharge vouchers now to get 1 year, and you mention one has 60 days to activate.

The date line of 60 days starts from which date ?

    Please advise. Thank you.

  • Hi there and thanks for the deal op. My wife only needs the Small plan. Is there a deal for this? 2gig is plenty for her - she only has 1.5 with Telstra.

  • How do I apply the code?

    • You will need to add a code in the discount code box and hit apply. This appears on the same page on the left hand side where you see proceed to checkout tab

  • Firstly, thanks for this deal. I bought 2, so yearly.

Secondly, you're mailing me out the Recharge Voucher?! You couldn't just email me the code, or display it onscreen, or automatically apply it to my account? Is there anyone who can just update my account to reflect these recharges, and stop the mail out?

    • Please check your email. PIN's come via email the SIM's via post.

      • Thanks for replying, OP. This is what's in my email:

"THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER FROM LEBARA MOBILE.
Your order is being shipped via 'Standard Australia Post' delivery. "

        • Please share your order number via PM if you still have not received a separate email for your order and I am happy to have a look. Thank you.

  • Its been more than 24 hours not received the voucher yet. I have alredy PM you the order number. How long it will take?
