Xiaomi Mi 6 (Blue) - 64GB/4GB, 5.15" 16:9, 3350mAh - (US $322) AU $488.60 Shipped @ Joybuy

190

Revoking due to the fact it has 4gb ram which is going way to overkill, still fine with 512m ram in 2018 and likely for the foreseeable future. Rant over.

Final cost according to methnerd mathnerd will be around $488.6 AUD if you pay in USD. Price will be tripled if you are the unfortunate

Quick specs:
● 2.45 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
● 5.15", 16:9 display @ 1080 x 1920 pixels
● 3350 mAh Li-Po battery
● 12MP Rear Camera, 8MP Front selfie
light
● USB Type C 1.0

Overall, pretty overkill specs…(not my favourite)

Anything no more than 2gb is not enough for a smooth run.
If you are fine with .5gb, keep away from Mi 2 or above

    • I have 3gb and am always having to shut down apps to run android auto.

Awesome phone, I have the 64GB/6GB version - I'd suggest hanging out for that if you're in the market for it, as it's price occasionally drops to about $480-$500

I have the 64gb/6g version too, its just amazing! Pictures are excellent (not amazing, but im useless with phone cameras anyway) I got mine on special for $450!!!!!

      • I need the tablet version of that. 8 inches of screen real estate is nice.

  • Band 28?

    • No

think we’ve been seeing many deals from australian suppliers eg axon7 etc that i’m surprised people still get chinadroids if they are after a great phone under $500.

i used to buy them ( redmi note 2 and redmi note 4) as they were a cheap way to a big 1080p screen when that in australia was the realm of samsung and $600 phones …. now lg huawei zte, moto, etc all have large screens , all australian bands, and local warranty etc.

Currently using the axon 7, I'll say it leaves a lot to be desired compared to my past Redmi Note 3, great phone just some things that bug me. For example the battery life, I miss my battery lasting almost 2 days.

Chances are my next phone will be a 'chinadroid' there's just so much more variety in devices.

Any bargains on Mi Max-2 please ?

  • Is this unusual it hasn't dropped a lot in price? I thought it was the phone I wanted, with dual sim (though no band 28) and good camera, then seeing phones like Huawei Mate 10 Pro score so well on dxomark and I've been tempted to wait for whether that phone will drop in price significantly.

  • Got one a month a go. Love it. I paid 350usd delivered.

  • Cheaper on AliExpress.

Nokia 8 would be a contender to this phone?

Not sure why my comment above was marked as off topic, you really couldn't get more on topic than asking a question about the features of the phone.

All I asked was if it has a notification led?
