  • This is axon 7 from officeworks?

It's a moo point, it's like a cows opinion, it doesn't matter. Because there's no stock of the Axon 7.

    • Axon is Snapdragon 820 this is 625.

    • Definitely Axon 7 - better screen, faster CPU & GPU, better camera (optical stabilisation among other things), bigger battery…

Also if you buy it in Australia, no waiting for dispatch and delivery, and local/real warranty.

Expect a long painful wait from LITB.

    • Long, painful and uncertain

    • I guess at least this one won't contain a Chinese hacked rom claimed to be global. Wouldn't buy from these guys again.

      • Where did said phone come from?

        • LightInTheBox Would never buy from them again. But I have read on the forums that there were a number of the sellers doing the same thing.

i got one of these for the home business. its pretty bloody good. i've always been an iphone guy (and still use iphone as my main phone) but as a secondary phone and to dip my toe in the android world - its pretty clean.

Looks like there is no B28 700mhz in this model, which is no good if you want max 4G coverage outside of larger cities.

  • Wants to charge an extra USD $ 21.79 for shipping..

I got 1 of these phones to replace my iPhone X.
This phone is the same size as a iPhone 6 Plus, 6S Plus, 7 Plus, 8 Plus.

My people like myself have installed Google Camera HDR+ (OTA updates still working as phone is not rooted):
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/guide-how-to-e…

There is a tool as well which i haven't used:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/tool-google-ca…

Note: Slow Motion is not working in the Google Camera HDR+ port.

There are a few reason why I decided to switch:
    1. Cost of an iPhone is way too expensive for a phone compared to Android.
    2. Felt betrayed by Apple for the throttling issue.
    3. Android has improved their OS since my last experience with them (Samsung Galaxy S4) as it would lag and freeze all the time.
    4. Not much deferences between the two nowadays: (https://www.androidcentral.com/rapidly-evaporating-differenc…).
    5. Dual Sim 4G/3G

    • phones like this and the Pixel are great choices for iphone converts because they run the clean and fast version of "stock" Android, unlike the Samsung's which run a bloated samsung skin of android. Glad you are enjoying this one!

  • How is the USD / AUD conversion calculated? Fees are likely to make ot more like $265….

    • Use a no conversion fee card like 28 Degrees

      • Is that even available anymore? How many people have it? Is this the sitewide practice? Seems a bit misleading to me.

        • I have a debit card with Common Wealth, I always pay with USD, the cost shows in my bank balance is always cheaper than paying in AUS on the site.

  • I got the same phone from ebay in last 10% off sitewide, got the black version for 250AUD, was delivered within 3 days from Hongkong via DHL, and they claim One Year AU Warranty.

    • Was the box sealed from that ebay seller?

      • Yes! the power connector was for UK but they even sent AU adapter (outside the box).

Does this have a notification led?

    • +1

      Yes

  • Not sure why my comment above was marked as off topic, you really couldn't get more on topic than asking a question about the features of the phone.

All I asked was if it has a notification led?

    • +1

      Yes there is
