Ozito 1300W 1450PSI High Pressure Cleaner - $49 @ Bunnings Warehouse

1120

A dollar higher than previous deal. I thought 49 bucks is a good price for those looking for a cheap pressure cleaner.

Bought one in the previous deal. Very good value, and you get a 3 year warranty! Fairly loud though

    • +1

What’s it good for? Indoor slate flooring, dirty cars, greasy shower glass?

      • +1

        Yes!

      • +1

Wouldn't use it indoors, what a mess.

  • +2

I'm scared with cheap pressure washers now. The Aldi one i got was so loud it makes my ears ring… I bet the neighbours all hate me

    • +16

      You need some QC35II's then

      • Meta….

    • +1

Got some pairs of QC 35 II for them and they will love you

    • +2

      Sounds like those ads

      "NEIGHBOURS HATE HIM!!"

    • Do it at 7am in the morning to get out our of the way for the day.

    • +1

With your hearing ruined, they can shout at you as much as they want, you won't hear it.

  • +1

Sooooo. What is the quality on these things?

    • +19

      About $49 worth of quality.

      • +2

        That is fantastic quality.

      • +22

That's better than the previous deal which was only $48 worth of quality (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/341018)

      • agree….

      • +1

three years use if you make a copy of your receipt. Take a photo or scan it and keep on file. Bunnings receipts fade real fast.

    • +2

Not good. Mine started giving a burning smell after 2hrs of use.

      • Did you step on the hose?

        • +1

No. The hose was fine. After the burning smell, it started making bursts.

        • +1

          Got arrested for pimping.

      • +23

2hrs… You pressure cleaning a crime scene?

        • +2

          2hrs in total. 4 roughly 30mins sessions.

        • +11

          @mun4:
At least you have a high pressure cleaner to put out the fire

        • it Should shut itself off to cool down if it gets too hot. Even my cheap Target vacuum cleaner has such a feature, stops working until it’s stone cold again if i overload it.

        • +7

          @mun4:

          4 roughly 30mins sessions.

          You stallion ;-)

  • I bought the washer + vac combo last year August,
had the washer stop working, switched it at bunnings no issue.

  • +2

Bought this on the sale last year. For the money, does an alright job as i don't have a large area. I don't have any complaints about it.

  • +2

Has anyone ever used this type of thing to clean the inside of their house? Like pressure washing bathroom tiles/shower screens?

    • It'll be a mess.

    • For tiles it may damage the grout or whatever you call the stuff between the tiles.

    • +1

im doing this every 6 months in my bathroom, using the same cleaner - bought one in the previous deal.
      previously I've used aldy cleaner.
just be careful and chose the right pressure

    • Yep I've used my outdoor pressure cleaner to clean my shower.
Ran the garden hose through the house, up the stairs and everything. All good.

  • is this powerful enough to clean the floor brick?
i know if you only wish to use it for car wash or watering the garden, it is powerful enough.

    • +2

I wouldn't want to water my vege patch with it. Probably blow everything to smithereens.

      • +2

Tbh that sounds way better than regular gardening

    • +3

should be safe for washing car but i wouldn't use it to do that..
definitely don't water the garden with it.
it cleans moss and hard dirt off bricks fine.

      • Perfectly fine for washing the car if you use a wider less concentrated spray and don’t hold it right up to the car. If anything it’s more ideal, get more dirt off meaning less crap to scratch around (in theory)

For bricks etc just set it on the really narrow, higher pressure beam (will be a thin single line instead of more of a spread out mist if that makes sense). Will obviously take longer this way compared to a more powerful washer but will do the job.

      • How about a dusty garage roller door?

        • Yes I do that

    • Only if you are pointing the nozzle close enough, you don’t want to do large areas or it will blow out your water bill

  • +1

It has short outlet hose. Does anyone know where to buy an extension?

    • +2

I know the pain of having a short hose as well. What connectors?

    • So when you guys talk about the hose length, are you talking about between the unit and handle?
How long are you talking here?

      • Long enough to make them happy mate ;) every bit counts!

  • Hard to argue with price and 3yr warranty, except to warn that these things can sit unused.

The patio cleaner takes a lot of patience.

    • these things can sit unused.

      Operator error?

      1. Group buy
      2. Use when needed
      3. win win

Of course you would have to live close by to maximise the savings.

  • +1

Had this and sold it after 1 month. The hose is way too short. Went for Gerni ($150) with a roller for the hose. Also has much more attachments.

  • +4

Don’t pressure me into buying one

    • +1

Yet you are clearly under the pump considering this pressure washer.

      • +5

        I've got diarrhea!

        Am I doing this right?

  • Could this be used on travertine?

  • +1

Anyone know if this is safe to use with motorcycles?

    • +29

certainly not at the same time.

    • +3

Great for cleaning grease out of pesky wheel bearings.

    • Gets your chain clean, really good as long as you don't mind it all saggy and rusty after a week.

    • I'd be careful where I'm cleaning. Honestly I would probably only use it on the rims and that (profanity) oil collecting rear guard at the rear wheel base.

I'd strongly advise never hitting your chain with it.

  • I purchased this one from the last deal to wash my car but the hose is to small. Went back to bunnings… Couldn't find an extension that would fit it. Does anyone have any idea about a suitable extension hose? Otherwise I was thinking to return it. I have to carry the whole unit with me to wash the car which is annoying.

  • +1

    Just saying: http://www.toolmech.com.au/toolmech-high-pressure-cleaner

Bought one the other day, will give it a try this arvo

    • +1

"trade quality" yumcha, as in "I'd happily trade this for a Karcher".

      • +5

to be fair they don't mention the trade … they could be referring to pastry chefs!

  • What are these things like for cleaning outdoor pavers? Do they blast all the sand out from between the pavers as well?!

    • +1

Thats generally the case. You should resand the pavers afterwards.

  • Are these the same things they use with those soap attachment head nozzles to clean cars?

  • Anyone used one of these on their car? Wondering if the nozzle will allow me to fit a foam lance on it.

    • It comes with a bottle attachment?

      • Yes

  • +1

I bought one in during the last deal. It would barely rid cobwebs from the decking roof. Marginally better than a garden hose with a jet attachment.

    • decking roof 50ft high?

  • +2

Note: It is a bad idea for kids to use this for water fight.

    • Battle Royale style

  • +1

Take it back they will replace it. Then get it replaced when it breaks down again. Legally your warranty restarts with each replacement. :-)

      In what universe?

      • Earth, Australia

        • I don't know about that. Normally it's the balance from the date of the original purchase.

  • I got one of these units to wash my car, and here's my feedback.

The water pressure was sufficient to remove all but the most stubborn dirt on my car. The soap dispenser did the job.

Water hose and power cord are pretty short, which means you have to carry the unit around to wash a 5 seater SUV. I had to setup the unit in five different spots to clean the car all around.

    VERY LOUD.

I would gladly return this for a unit which has a longer hose and power cord.

  • Purchased one yesterday and I'm happy with this unit. It's strong enough to remove the dirt and grime on my concrete driveway that's been accummulating for the past q5 years.

Overall, great value for money and it does the job for me.

  • +1

Bought one and tested it today. The hose is similar length to the Gerni classic 1.3kw https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/195367
Noise is fairly tolerable when you use in an open area.
I feel it’s good enough for light duty like car washing, clean concrete driveway and window washing at ground level.
Can’t compliant in terms of value for money and my usage.
