      iOS app works well with watch to synch and update.
      Only bit that is flaky is weather updates.

      Battery life excellent (~3 weeks) and I wear it swimming for half an hour at a time submersed with no issues for the last 2 months.

          Notifications are displayed, you can toggle which apps make it to the watch. Phone calls can be seen and declined from the watch.

      You actually get while notifications and not just the person sending an SMS, you can scroll back through them also.
      It take activities with GPS and had a few watch faces you can choose from.
      It is a massive step up from the mi band 2

        I got about 42 days on the very first charge, and around 40 or so in the next charge as well. Haven't had it long enough to need a third charge yet haha.

        It'd only be 20 days if you use the GPS or you're checking the time a hell of a lot and have hundreds of notifications going all day.

          @Den: No it's not continuous. If you turn the advanced sleep HR thing on it just takes it more regularly than usual when you're asleep (half hourly vs hourly i think). In normal non-sleep it only takes HR when you manually tell it to check your HR.

    Looking for a cheap watch to use while running that will display basic strava stats and also allow me to change the music on my phone. A heart rate monitor would be good but doesnt need a GPS as I'll have my phone with me anyway. Anyone got any recommendations?

      This watch (Amazfit Bip) might fit the bill.

      display basic strava stats

      It displays your run distance, time, current pace & heart rate. However it uses MiFit to record activities by default, and it does not currently sync with Strava. You can get the app Notify & Fitness for Amazfit which does Strava sync (in-app purchase).

      allow me to change the music on my phone

      Notify & Fitness allows you do custom button action, for example next track on Spotify.

    Been using this watch (international version) for 1 week now
    Very satisfied in terms of battery life and notification

    In terms of watch faces
    By default there are only very few watch faces to choose from
    But if you have a Android device
    you may upload custom watch faces to the watch

    Received mine today. Was worried about the watch being chinese version. But after downloading the MiFit app on to iPhone and pairing/configuring it to the watch. Takes about 15mins but when it finishes, the watch now displays in English.

    Got mine. Seems legit. Pretty decent for the cost. It didn't sync with Android, then used an iPad to sync. Now it's in English :-)
