SB2 with 1060 graphics is insane, but also that price = ultrabook + eGPU

  • I will jump at it if it was this price for a SB2

      I'm sure everyone would

I wouldn't jump on one, can't stand that much weight.

  • Very tempting. Is there any comparably priced options on the market that would be better (or worth considering) alternatives?

    • +4

There are heaps of other options, but it depends on what you're buying it for. The SB's selling point is its touchscreen, tablet detachabilty and pressure sensing pen. Performance base also has a dedicated graphics card, and while it's not great, it's better than integrated.

Most ultrabooks around the same price don't offer a touchscreen + dedicated graphics. But the specs on Performance Base aren't that good (8gb RAM really shows, dual core i7), you can get better value if you are more interested in specs. Old gen Dell XPSs, the ACER ultrabooks are all better spec'd (in terms of CPU + RAM) at a competitive price.

No USB C/Thunderbolt and proprietary charger worth more than $100. Why would I even look at it.

  • Would be more keen if that was the price for 16GB RAM

Please have a deal on Surface Laptop microsoft :)

  • It's back up!
