Meh, not really.
If you really need the "performance base" you're going to need more than 8 gigs of RAM and 256gb of storage.
You're better off buying the non-performance base version and saving yourself the difference.
Eh dunno. It's kicking a gen6 CPU and not a lot of storage.
The only thing it has over other laptops is the pen.
I don't really need a pen. Might want a little bit more on GPU side.
I'll just hold out for a Ryzen ultrabook when they come out. Or get something like an xps13 then add an egpu.this. An XPS 13 would be much more suited for more intensive tasks. The Surface does have the wow factor though, I must admit.
How are MS with returns if I "don't like it" (have eye probs so finding a screen suitable is difficult)?
They have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. I bought a Surface Book a month ago, and returned it two days later.

I don't think MS sells that one in Australia mate. Even the 13 inch one is not advertised on the ebay page.
