    Good deals. Hard to beat these prices from anywhere else even overseas, I'd be interested if anyone can get cheaper. Even with discount codes buying from overseas ends up very similar or slightly more expensive once postage is added, then you gotta wait for a month.

    Purchased 2x VTC6 and 6x 30Q's, haven't had any issues. Will buy from these guys again, possibly a 4 set of GA's. The protected GA's are interesting but $2.50 premium over the bare cells? Can we get some info on the pcb these have?

      You seem to know your shit. Which battery would go fine with a Nitecore P15? Are the unprotected ones fine? I was thinking of getting the GA batteries.

        Unless the torch (flashlight if it's USA-ean) has battery-protection circuitry built into it, then torches should only be used with Protected 18650 cells.

        Lithium-Ion cells can suffer permanent damage if over-discharged. And even if not permanently damaged, cycle life will be severely degraded.

        So to answer the question, I think any of the Protected Cells on the seller's list look good. As long as the P15 can accommodate a Nipple-top battery.

        Did a big write up. Lost it. Unprotected is fine in a Nitecore P15. Samsung 35E unprotected nipple tops 2 for $16.98 is what I would buy.

        Edit: Wondering why unprotected fine in the nitecore p15? Comprehensive voltage check and low voltage warning, mechanical (hence no flat tops) and possibily electronic reverse polarity protection mechanisms.

          eh, ended up getting the protected GA's. Better safe than sorry I guess, and I can use them for future lower end lights. Would you rate the Samsungs higher than the Panasonics, though (or LG)?

          I want some protected GA's but they seem expensive. Price being equal I would get the panasonic/sanyos (Japan) over samsung or lg (Korea) for capacity and sony (Japan) over samsung for power delivery.

        The (unprotected) 30Q seems to be the popular option even on the budget light forums. I wonder if the unprotected batteries are at all 'unsafe'?
