FREE Luggage Tag & Passport Holder Delivered @ World Animal Protection

2280

Wanted to test this one before I posted it, so see the screenshots below of what I received after two weeks. The luggage tag is made of plastic and quite good quality, although the passport holder is really not that great and made from just fine cardboard. Enjoy however :)

    Great post TA. Thank you

      Great comment. Please up vote.

Used the KLM from previous bargain but the plastic easily broke off from the luggage. Designs were great tho

  • +1

    thanks op, got one

  • Will someone take the tags as souvenir. LOL

  • +2

I would not use that passport holder. I use a small ziplock bag from coles.

  • +6

I can only imagine that by entering your phone number you will receive calls requesting donations. I feel bad entering a fake phone number on a charity site. Did it anyway.

    • +1

      same :(

      • -8

For the record I negged the deal. I presume there is some mechanism that more than 5 negs on comment automatically revokes the neg. can mods use their discretion to overrule please? I think it's a valid neg

        • +17

Clearly you don't understand the voting guidelines.

        • +3

OP has not suggested or hinted or inferred we should provide fake details to procure this freebie.

        • @PJC: yes but as I said I also negged it as a crap deal because the charity will have your details to contact you

        • +1

@grasstown: How is that a perfect reason to neg this freebie?

        • -1

@PJC: how is it not? Is it then a freebie?

        • +1

@grasstown: Yes, no purchase is required and you know fake phone numbers avoid unwanted calls.

        • -4

@PJC: yes that is the other reason for my neg. thank you!

      • +4

I suppose you could provide them your real phone number.

        • -2

          See above

  • +18

I know I may not be a true ozbargainer but I will not order so the money stays with the charity. Pretty sure you will be targeted later for donations…

  • +7

    Thankyou Mr TA :).

Just saw myself in the mirror shirtless, I look hot.

  • +3

No free party gloves and condoms this time.

  • +2

    ^don’t ride those thai elephants

    • Put on a luggage thai "PROTECT THE THAI ELEPHANTS" then attach rubber gloves and condoms from previous deal, so ppp know what sort of 'protection' you mean .

  • +8

Thanks TA, but no to plastic!!
I'll stick with my Ivory & Rhino horn luggage tags😱

    • I have an heirloom ivory carved elephant. I feel dirty every time I see it in the china cabinet.

      • I've inherited boxes of 100 year old carved ivory from family & don't know what to do with it. I certainly don't have my carved elephants on display🐘 I never did like them much. Those were once prized family possessions. It's from another time.

  • I'm sure they won't harass you for donations /s

If you put your name down as Tightarse they won't.

I used the name Mr T Arse.

I want to be able to see penguins/tigers etc. I am sorry if it’s cruel but I want to be able to see them in a safe way for both me and them.

    • That's what a zoo is for

  • -1

How many do you get (of each)?

  • Nice thanks OP

  • +1

    Thank you OP!

  • +2

Tip: write an email on the tag instead of name and address.

Don't make it easy for burgers/scumbags by letting them know you are flying out.

    • +8

I love letting burgers know that I'm flying out, so that they can ketchup with me once I land.

  • I'm not sure whether to cop or not cause of the phone number part

    • +7

Right now, this deal is being exploited for our entertainment

      No it isn't. It's a shame you find us trying to raise awareness as 'entertainment'. The charity is there for this purpose;

But we can work together to educate ourselves and other to make animal friendly tourism choices when we are on holiday to reduce demand for animal entrainment – sign-up today to show your support to be an animal friendly tourist

Imo there is nothing wrong about taking the initiative in showing your support for this cause.

      • -2

So all the hordes of OzBargainers swarming to this freebie are going to educate their families and friends about this charity? Yeah right.

    • +4

The charity raises awareness of its cause via travellers using these freebies, which are not intended for a specific community group.

  • +4

    It could easily be:

Right now, animals are being exploited for our nutrition

But no charity would alienate the majority of people who eat meat, that will come later once a majority of people believe that statement.

Regarding your point, I actually think that in this case they are just looking to raise awareness among the population, as opposed to the previous condom deal where it was targeted at only a segment of the population (LGBTIQ people). One of the ways to do that is through this post

    • I think it is an innovative way of spreading their message, even in countries that or areas where the message is not welcomed. ie. The local government in areas that are making lots of money through elephant riding, would probably not allow billboards and tv adds against it. But with the luggage tags, the message is spread everywhere. Also the form of personal communication of the message could be more powerful than a poster or normal advert, eg. If you met a nice lady that you liked, and noticed the luggage tag, it could start up conversation about it, and could sway sway ones opinion much more than a message from a random poster or tv add etc.

      • I am assuming you meet her at the airport, or hotel, or maybe both in that order, I am sure plenty of blokes have been swayed like that.

  • +1

All for a good cause. Not a vegan but I do support their cause in trying to raise awareness for such barbaric, outdated profiteering off the suffering of animals. Thank you for spreading this OP!

  • thanks for this!

  • +2

    nothing received yet

  • Anyone received this luggage tag yet?

    • Still haven't got mine. Ordered 12/3, email says would be received within 10 business days.

      • yeah.. another BS deal.

  • I haven't received mine yet but got spammed the (profanity) out of their calls asking for donations.
    No deal!

  • +1

    Received today. Thanks TA.
