For anyone interested, a new model Raspberry Pi was just announced. It's an enhanced version of the Rpi 3 model B here. Called the B+.

    Features:

    • A 1.4GHz 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU

    • Dual-band 802.11ac wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2

    • Faster Ethernet (Gigabit Ethernet over USB 2.0)

    • Power-over-Ethernet support (with separate PoE HAT)

    • Improved PXE network and USB mass-storage booting

    • Improved thermal management

    • -3

? I cant see anything that says there has been a new Pi released, expect for old websites like 2016

Aspects Raspberry Pi Model B+ Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Raspberry Pi 3 Model B

Just bought a new B+ from Element14 + official psu for $64.49 with free delivery. Element14 delivery is lightning fast. Assuming the free delivery threshold is $50, just the board should be $50.60 delivered.
Those enhancements, AU stock, delivery within a few days at most make the extra $12 worth it for me.

      • Agreed! Element14 if you need it fast :D

        • $50 or wait for a deal from asia for about $42 ….. think i spend the $50,

interesting is they claim higher power useage.

      • +1

Awesome. I'd definitely pick one up if I didn't have a Rpi 3 B still sitting in an unopened box.

        • :(

        • I had one ordered for garagepi, ended up getting a pi1 from my brother so I'm in the same boat. It's waiting patiently for a new project!

        • same , i still have one in a box, be nice to try the better boot and faster wireless , but no real urgency for those features, so i guess can i wait for a price drop or LITB deal .

      • How did you buy it through Element14? I clicked that I was buying for personal use and it said I had to go through a reseller

        • +1

          Click the other use ;)

        • @Soluble:

Ah, I thought they'd have some sort of proof required. Thanks!

        • +1

@rad000: Nope, I thought the same thing originally, but it works fine. No proof or ABN etc required.

        • @Soluble:
Pop-up about business/personal use didn't even show on my cell phone when I purchased Raspberry Pi 3 B+ this morning.

Either it was blocked by browser/adblock or it just doesn't show on mobile.

Rep, will LITB post dashcam this one in time or I have to cancel order after 2 months wait and loose ~$9 in dollar conversion?

    • -3

most of our package will arrive in time. and if you have any order problem, i'm always here to offer support

      • Rep, because of your support, I was able to receive refund. I appreciate that. But I had to wait for 60 days before customer service acknowledged the delay.

        • -4

last deal on NOV was due to Customs reject, this time would be better. but can't 100% sure

        • @MiniInTheBox:
Total b.s. I purchased a xiaomi dashcam in Jan this month and still hasn't got my order and I'm in New Zealand!
This "custom has rejected parcel" lie doesn't make sense at all because you guys don't even know what's going on with the delivery and customer reps are just copy & pasting responses pushing delivery date by 10 each time. Completely dishonest, suffice to say I got a refund from PayPal.

        • @zyo: Oh wow… I got the same customs rejected the item BS before with them too, I just assumed it was some very unlucky mistake one off thing as this kinda stuff shouldnt happen very often. Since the rep just shove the issue of Customs rejecting items as if its normal, starting to feel i was BSed out from them running out of stock or something and making me wait and beg for a refund -_-

        • Hold on, your reps are still wasting my time with the one I ordered in November and you know it is an issue. It is nearly 4 months - when am I getting my refund?

    • I'm still following the tracking on one I ordered in Nov 17, has scanned as 'SUZHOU (CN), Processed through facility' 9 times now, the most recent scan being on the 13th of March. Have been refunded for it, but still following the tracking to see how many more times it scans through.

      • You actually got a refund? I ordered one back in november also. Whenever I open a ticket, they keep telling me to wait longer and they couldn't do anything until 2 months had passed (which it had already). I ended up opening a paypal dispute that is still ongoing… Totally put me off buying anything from LITB again.

        • mate, you have a rep here… and always online offer support

        • Yep, I contacted the rep and was sorted out in no time. ^
I don't think I'll ever receive the cam, but interested to see how many times it scans through the same place. lol

        • +1

Just like to say thank you to @MiniInTheBox He sorted out a refund for me.

After buying on this deal on 2/2/2018:

Xiaomi 70 Minutes Smart Wi-Fi Car DVR Car Dashcam 1080p Camera (DVR) US $28.00 (~ AU $34.98) Free Shipping @ LightInTheBox

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/359015

My order was first delayed and finally cancelled last Thursday - 4 weeks and 6 days later - as out of stock.

I was not happy with this outcome and will hesitate to order again from these guys.

Edit: I put the wrong dated deal in - now updated

    • +5

Same here! I ordered feb and it was cancelled march 8.

I even saw the item as available late feb and it was 20 dollars more than what the original purchase was.

Not going to buy anything from this site.

      :p

    • It sounds like your money was gone to someone's bank account to earn deposit then return to you

Hence I'm not trusting this seller. Heard too many bad stories on delivery.

If that's the case why is Ozbargain Admin not banning this user or posts?

    • -3

hi mate, the Xiaomi 70 Minutes was OOS due to CNY, and supplier still waiting new stocks from factory. very apologize for this bad experience.

      • Well stop selling imaginary stock!!!

      • Hahaha B.S

        https://m.lightinthebox.com/en/xiaomi-70-minutes-smart-wifi-…

Item is available from your site and you are saying Out of stock.

        Smh

        • -1

it's actually OOS, if you buy this now, still need wait new stocks arrive.

        • @MiniInTheBox:
          Lol!
you will receive the payment from us and use it as a capital to purchase other items to sell.

After one month you return the money to everyone because supplier opted not to deliver the item.

          Nice business model huh?:))

        • -1

@Nochipogi: ….i have told you it's OOS. when we decide a deal, we will bought the products to our warehouse in advance, that's why many our deal have limited quantity. and also why i told you xiaomi 70 DVR is OOS, not just told you buy it.

        • -1

          @MiniInTheBox:
          You just dont get it.

This will be my last comment , please put a flag saying “OUT OF STOCK and buy at your own risk!

          Ciao

  • Thanks OP for coming through on an RPi3 deal :)

Rep, any chance of offering an A119S minus the GPS but with a CPL filter? Looking to add another cam for the rear window so I don't need another GPS module.

For others, I ordered an A119S in Aug 2017 from LITB and had no problems and the delivery was in two weeks.

    • I'd like that too. Is it possible rep?

    • I too would be interested in this as well.

    • Not sure how long you've had your existing A119S but I find the GPS perfect for when I don't use my car for a long time as it syncs the time/date with GPS.

If I was going to get another A119S, I would get one with GPS as its not that much more.

      • Yes agreed the GPS is a small price extra and I like it as it shows your GPS speed live.

      • The only problem is that if you are providing power permanently to your cam so that with the ignition off you can utilise the parking function, then the GPS will always be drawing power even with out a camera fitted. You would have to unplug the GPS module each time you remove the camera to avoid this issue and risk a flat battery.

      • Didn't the GPS have issues, or was that only for the V1?

    • pm me link please? so i can better check it

  • +2

I purchased the A119S v2 + GPS in November last year. Still currently in transit… Has literally been in and out of the Suzhou facility 10 times according to tracking

    • Yeah, I have the same, I've since been refunded though.

      • How did you proceed to get refunded? All I got was a copypasta telling me to wait another 1-2 months after sending an enquiry a month ago. Funny how I recommended a mate to buy the dashcam few days after me, and he received his in December.

        • just pm me order number, i will help you get refund asap. very apologize.

        • @MiniInTheBox: Thanks, will do.

Hi Rep, are these genuine Viofo?

    • +2

Do you think the rep is going to say YES IT's FAKE??? Also I didn't know there is such a thing as a fake Viofo anyway.

    • The A118C is not a Genuine Viofo, it is not advertised as one and will look similar but low quality parts and the picture not as sharp as a Viofo A118C(but a great camera for the price).

I would assume the A119s is genuine as advertised as Viofo and LITB is a New York Stock Exchange Listed Company. I got the A119s and a great camera, simalar quality you would pay twice as much.

  • +2

I purchased a raspberry pi3 from them and my package looked like a van drove over it as they use next to nothing no bubble wrap just a thin sheet of paper as packaging luckily it did work after waiting a month and a bit but we warned.

    • -3

In other words, you received a working product, as advertised, at a "deal" price, and are having complaints?

  • I'm unable to apply the coupon. Getting an error:

"Sorry, your effective order subtotal need to be at least USD $ 26.00 in order to use this coupon. The following product(s) are not part of the effective order total because you can't use this coupon for them:
    -Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Co…"

    What am I doing wrong?

    • I'm getting the same - anyone able to suggest why this is happening?
Just looking for the RPi3 and not the other items.

    • Me too tried both codes but not working for raspberry pi 3b

    • +1

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B don't need code, it's a flashsale, and only 100 pcs. and all sold out

      • Hi. The price when I tried still showed at full price which is why I tried the code. Is there any chance this will be re-stocked at the $30 price. Very disappointed that the website did not apply the discounted amount.

  • -1

Rep, do these 118c come with cable clips? Last time I bought one from LTB did not have them and it's a mess to secure the cable with blue tag along the windshield. Blue tag melted under heat.

    • +1

Just push it under the roof lining like everyone else does?

    • Saw a review from the site. A person posted the content of the box pictures and the 3 clips are included it seems. Don't know if the current one has it or not though.

      • I bought 1 from LITB and 1 from GB respectively. The one from GB came with the cable clips but not from LITB. It's a nuisance that makes the application clumsy.

  • Thanks, just ordered the A119S.

Looking forward to a deal on AA chargers next.

  • +1

I have a Viofo A119S v2 and can highly recommend it as a dashcam. Have never bought off these guys though so only go off what I say on the actual product. I paid about $120 local seller for the GPS version with hard wire kit (as they guaranteed it was genuine and version 2, and I hesitate with these overseas sellers). Version 2 is important as version 1 had issues with gps module disconnecting from power source.

Anyway the reason I like it is it is very compact and discreet, no suction cups or anything like that, the screen shows you live what is recording so you can adjust the camera angle easily without having to run back and forth to your computer. The GPS module shows you live speed so you can sit on 100 on the freeway and your speedo will probably show about 110 but you know you won't get booked. The quality at night is also very good. This cam uses a capacitor which is what you want for Aus climate. The cam also allows you to do formats of the micro sd card without having to remove the card which is very convenient. With the hardwire kit (not included form this seller but you can get from others) the wiring is completely hidden and runs down to your interior fuse box where you just use a fuse splice (like $2 on ebay) to hook to positive and screw the negative to the bodywork using an existing nut somewhere. Thus no 12V socket dangling everywhere yay!

I also have a $350 Lukas dashcam in my work vehicle (it is 3 years old though) and I actually prefer my new Viofo for reasons mentioned above.

    • Where did you buy this from for $120? As the current ad is $68 US which is about $120 AUD.

    • I'd be interested in learning more about local stock too!

  • I have ordered a A119S from this post with express post so consider it day 1! Let’s track this time.

    • +1

      I wish you good luck!

  • -1

Hey Rep, just missed out on the A118C. Any chance the code can be reactivated for more stock? Please and thank you!

      • I need two.

        • new code:LITBA118C01 only can use 1 time per account, so if you want more, create another account

        • @MiniInTheBox:

Hi rep, any more for the A119s ?

        • @Unorthodox: don't have any more for now, might bring thia back when we get more discount stocks. you can pm me to wait the message.

      • Any more a119s stock?

  • -1

Thanks, Just purchased a replacement for my Viofo A119 v1 (microphone broke and cracked Lens). Purchased via expedited shipping, so we will see how long this takes…

  • Does the A119S V2+GPS have known issues with power connections or was I thinking of a different model?

  • Code for the A119S has expired.

  • As a general consensus do people recommend the a118 or a119s v2?

  • The code LITB119S isn't isn't working anymore…

Sorry, your coupon is expired (expiration date: 20/03/2018).

    • the promotion was expired. might rerun it when we get more stocks

  • Got excited cause I thought this was delivered today. Turns out it was something else I ordered ages ago that I had forgotten about

  • So far I have track from point of origin to now it looks like it might actually leave the country:

UPLIFTED FROM TRANSSHIPMENT HUB HONG KONG

Fingers crossed on an actual delivery

  • has anyone had any issues with the A119S ? Mine has just stopped working this week, after about 9 months of having it. the screen comes up, but it freezes and only shows 1/3rd like the fuzzy static you would see on analogue TV's

how easy are LITB to deal with for warranties? ive filled out a ticket… hoping to hear back from them. has anyone had any experiences?

    • The only thing I could suggest is trying to reset the device by updating the firmware even if you have already done it in the past. I would also suggest that when you do this you power the device from a stable supply, ie a phone charger or power bank.
VIOFO A119S Car Dash Camera Firmware

    • Got the same issue. Have updated it and that fixed it for a while however it's back to being fuzzy again. Really annoying as I placed the camera behind the rear view mirror and have to keep checking if it has stuffed up again or not

  • Well it was received on Tuesday 27th March. Have not installed it but post was about whether delivery would arrive or bounce around in China postal system.
