is the energy plan better to be worth the switch tho?

So maximum potential discount is $50. Most of us I am sure would purchase these anyway at 5% off, so in reality it is a $25 saving.

  • +4

$50 for switching and spending $450? Sounds like a hard sell. Why not give a $25 gift card for switching?

  • +5

seems a bit stingy mate…Places like Energy Aus give you $50 rebate for each Gas and Elec and as there are no contractual exit fees, you could technically pick up a $50-100 rebate everytime they have the offer.

Your motto Zero Transparency, but you don't have advertised rates? You won't cold call to follow up quotes but you ask for a phone number? I'm just not too sure about this.

yeah weird. but at least it doesn't verify your details. So I'm guessing Donald Duck on 0412345678 has a lot of quotes in the system.

Not really a bargain if it ends up costing you more for you energy bills.

    • +3

Yes I just did a comparison.
My last month with Pacific Hydro was $34, their discounted quote was $43

So I need to spend $500, to save $25 on a eWishcard (since we can already get 5% off), even though it'll cost me $105 more!

That's why I like Pacific Hydro/Tango Energy, no smoke & mirrors, just cheap power.

  • This is a very sad offer indeed. I doubt it will have any traction at all with OzB members.

Just got $125 credit to switch my electricity. This is pitiful.

  • +3

No prices in title and you want my personal details just to provide a price. This is OzBargain not OzAdvertising.

This is not a bargain, $25 discount to swap energy providers is not worth the effort. If you could use the 10% off more than once then it might be better.
