    • Wow. I thought bunnings was cheap for cr2032. I've been buying them there for a while. I stand corrected.

    • Amcal's 2032 4 pack is showing $6.95 on my browser. Has the price gone up?

Thanks very much @doweyy! Click and collect FTW!

  • with amcal and bunnings published price means you can also get price match from chemist warehouse if handier.

Needed to get some amcal specials matched at chemist warehouse, they actually called and checked with amcal for $3 discount on $12 item, wouldn't accept the advertised online pricing.

I use to buy these (CR2032) regularly but I started buying IKEA branded ones instead.

    Found the performance the same

    8 pack for $3.99
    https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/80291156/

    • I've used the IKEA ones and they don't compare at all. The big brand ones like Energizer and Maxwell all last over a month each with my usage. IKEA ones don't even last 3 days.

      • Ouch that sucks, What are you using them in? I'd return them and get a refund if I were you.

I had them set up in my HRM and Cycling power meter and found that the usage was about the same as when I used Energizer ones.

          … Pokémon GO Plus :D

        • @Eon-Rider: I can confirm the same thing about ikea cr2032 vs Energiser. I burned through the whole ikea pack in a week during pokemon go events. I cant remember if they are 8 or 10 or 12 in the pack, but I could go through one battery in a single day. The energizers were giving me a couple weeks per cell, so there is a huge difference.

    • I'm also a fan of the Ikea cr2032s. I've been using them to replace the batteries in my xiaomi sensors when they need replacing. Longest I've had one in is about 4-5 months, but no issues so far.

  • Quick question:

Is there much of a difference buying these branded batteries compared to these $1 batteries with free shipping from Aus from ebay?:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CR2032-3V-LITHIUM-CELL-Button-BA…

or even these packs of 5 shipped from China for $1?:

If you leave one in something too long and it's flat, the cheap one will leak alot faster

      Beyond that, not sure

      On a $400 car keyring ($250 parts + $150 encoding service), i don't risk it

    • Brand name ones from eBay, if you can wait, are the best and cheapest.

Those ones (with blurred photos) i wouldn't trust.

Plenty of genuine Maxell, Renata, etc to chose from.

    • I think they're fine to be honest. It can be a hit or miss though.

First 5 packet cheapo ebay battery i got for my car fob only lasted 6 months. Which ran out really fast when you have 2 car fobs. It only takes something like 30 seconds to replace the battery so I didn't mind.

2nd time i thought stuff it, and bought 30 batteries for something like $5. These ones usually last about 1-2yrs.

Not too bad, because apparently the batteries you get at the dealers last between 1.5-3 yrs.

So now i have over a decade worth of batteries (assuming they dont expire before then)

But the great thing about the ones i got for my car fob, is they're probably one of the smaller button cells. So with a bit of tissue, I could shove it into devices that take cr2032 batteries

  • Believe it or not, if you want brand name batteries (admit it… you wouldn't use anything else in a car remote) Bunnings was the cheapest when I last looked!

  • Just make sure the expiry date is not too soon.

  • I think I bought the cr2032 from kart for about $5 a few weeks ago. Not 100% sure I'll report back once I find the receipt

      Never heard of them.

I don't know how Panasonic batteries compare, but these are only $4.99 with free shipping in a pack of 5. Ebay seems to have them available from a number of sellers for a similar price as well.

    • I usually get Maxell ones, but I'll give these ones a try, thanks!

  • ebay cheaper?

  • Is this a limited special or a change to the Bunnings everyday price?

    • was a special, as I just had another check and it's gone up to $9.50 again!
