FAQ

Where do I enter the coupon code?

  • When you click "Proceed to Checkout" button, it'd say below the payment method "Have Coupon?"

It's showing me higher AUD price than mentioned in the title

  • Choose USD as your currency from top left hand corner. Don't select AUD, always choose to pay in USD, it will work out cheaper even after your credit card conversion fees. Also read the below.

How do I ensure I get the cheapest AUD price possible

  • To avoid higher currency conversion rates and to get cheapest price from these Chinese websites, you should get a credit card that charges zero currency conversion fees. 28Degrees, Bankwest Zero, Coles Mastercard are generally popular. Irrespective of what credit card you use, always choose to pay in USD on these Chinese websites, (Go back to main page, Choose "USD" from top left hand corner). Additionally set your Paypal so it "bills you in the currency on Seller's Invoice". To set your PayPal account this way permanently, follow the steps shown in these snapshots [Highly recommended]

What an ELECTRIC deal and they don't even CHARGE for shipping. I OWN, one of these, very handy, and that's no LI.

    • +1

"OWN"? That's the only joke I didn't get

      • You left out "I".

        • +6

          I've got my ion you.

      • +2

        I OWN … as in Lithium Io(w)n

        • +2

I give you either an AA or AAA rating!

    • +3

Jeez you seem quite Amped up with the puns.

    • +2

Good to see deals on a CURRENT model.

    • +2

      What a battered joke.

      • +2

He had to cell the joke but it got a positive reaction.

Recommend a Lii-500 if you don't have a smart charger yet.

I have both btw and both are useful, but if buying just one or your first, get the Lii-500 for the capacity testing.

    • is that LiitoKala Lii-500? or is there a nitecore brand that has the model number Lii-500?

      • Yep the LiitoKala

    • Where can I get one of these?

  • Got one of these a while back. Great charger!

  • I've got the new i4 a while back. How do these compare? What makes them different? Safety is definitely important too

  • Great charger but charging 4 batteries at once is slow. And no analyzing features. I can second @dufflover's recommendation about li-500

  • Can these force charge super dead rechargable batteries? You know, the ones that don't even register a charge - For me I have to use dumb charges to force a bit of charge before movign them to a smart charger, trying to remove that step.

    • Yes! That is annoying

    • I wish for the same thing. However if you leave batteries in a smart charger for two or three days the ping charge should revive it enough that the battery is detected. Either that or use the paper clip trick

      • Please elaborate on the paper clip

        • If you google battery charger and paper clip trick you should see some pjotos that will explain

        • @cannedhams: I googled, but instructions are not clear. I broke my penis.

  • Solid, thanx OP. Already have the i4, got this because the family has taken over that.

  • +1

Never again, i have a D4 and a D2 sitting in my draw since they wont charge anything.

    • Maybe they are counterfeits?

      • Not according to nitecore counterfeit
Check they have on there wevsite where you use the card that comes with it to check.

  • Good deal. I paid $50 for mine a month ago :(

  • Anyone have a recommendation for something like this that can do D batteries?

    • Get battery adapter to convert AA to D.

      • I already have the batteries, I would need to convert D to AA. I found one of those but I'm not sure if there's a good one or one that fits well into the D4.

    • +1

Xtar VC4. It charges C and D as well

      • yes Xtar vc4 ……. or get the big brother XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus but cheapest ive seen with postage is $119 on ebay

        • +1

Yeah we need a deal on the Xtar Dragon!

    • If you already have a decent NiMH battery charger and it's just a bay size issue, and you're feeling particularly OzBargain-stingy, you can buy a couple of holders like this:
      https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/2-Pcs-Rectangle-Spring-Clip-Batter…

And solder some leads onto a battery case that fits into the charger.
      https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/4PCS-AAA-to-AA-Size-Cell-Battery-C…

I've done something similar to this where I wanted to hook up a USB charger (or powerbank) to a AA battery only device (with some extra bits to match the voltage, etc.)

Like I said only if you're feeling particularly stingy lol. Just putting the option out there.

  • Oh no analyse support :( i really want to get the zanflare c4 i wish i bought on those crazy deals before xmas. Will probably end up getting the lii500.

  • How do these rate against the eneloop basic charger?

  • +3

Ok guys tell me some since heap of ppl got delivery issues with LITB, so why are they still allowed to post deals with bad customer service and postage?

I'm sick of LITB deals on front page

  • I bought a 2 battery model of these for travel. It does AA and AAA. To power it there is just a usb cable - no issue with power points etc. Charge it off the laptop or tv

Choose USD as your currency from top left hand corner.

Actually, changing your currency is on the top right - under 'Ship to' - select Australia, but scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see the currency section. It's very well hidden.

  • include battery or not?

    • No it's already a good price for a quality brand charger.

    • Do you want free Eneloops with it?

  • Had mine for about 3+ years. Excellent piece of equipment.
    Highly recommend.

  • Official website says it supports IMR/Li-ion/LiFePO4 types in addition to Ni-Mh.

  • The only con in comparison with my old trusty Maha-9000C charger is this D4 cannot charge as fast. The fastest rate is only 750mA for maximum of 2 batteries at a time. With the Maha-9000C I often charge my four AA Eneloops at 1000mA.

  • This take ages to charge 4 x battery, max 375ma per battery, i.e. it will take 8 hours to charge 3000mah IMR batteries!

  • Opus C3100 can be had for $40~ AUD shipped which charges faster (1Ax4 or 2Ax2) and can provide battery analytics. What this does better is the switching power supply is built into the device itself and you won't be stuck having to use adaptors and a wall wart.

  • Although the spec listing of this on the LITB site says it can do C batteries, I've found you can only do one C at a time, in one of the middle slots, and that it'll pop off contact quite easily. It'll hang over the edge of it's row so you can't put anything either side of it, either. And Cs just don't fit in the side slots as the edge of the charger stops it going in deep enough to contact.

Found this when looking for the Dragon. Doesn't ship to AU though. But at a huge discount if you buy 4!!!!

    • Shipping estimator says they don't ship outside US.

      • Yep. As I stated - doesn't ship to AU. Have a read next time?

Shipping forwarder may work for people wanting to buy 4.

        • Sorry I got too excited when I saw Xtar Dragopn and discount.
