Great deal TA, probably one of the best $10.00 analog watches that I am aware of.
    An Ozbargain favourite.

    • +46

With a username like that, I believe you.

    • What is the best digital around $10…? Skmei?

      • +2

My favourite is the Skmei 1134, which I have 2. I think this is the best because of it's simple design and it doesn't say S-SHOCK. But other Skmei's will have the exact same module inside, so you can take your pick really.

I try to keep it simple when looking at China Cheapos - the ana/digi Skmei's have 2 modules stacked on top of each other which means they are a lot thicker & have more things to go wrong.

        • Indeed…I had one when you recommended it few months back but gifted it to cousine…now need to find it again. Most of the price on ebay etc are around $10..Are you going to get us price similar to this thread —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/354000

        • Yes will try again soon on a Skmei deal if TA doesn't beat me to it, lol.

        • @WatchNerd: Thanks mate…

  • What colour is everyone buying?

    • Black (Dial) & Brown (Band) looks really nice.
      But that's subjective I guess

      • Nice, got the same one. I think from the description, that's the only one available. The black is perhaps just in the picture.

  • +2

Very good Watch for the price range - strongly recommended.

  • +6

Thanks TA. That code is just something to be marvelled at.

  • +4

    That coupon code tho

  • +15

    I never wear a watch I don't need a watch I don't want a watch yet I'm pretty close to buying this….why ozb why

    edit…. too late bought it

Remember: If in doubt, always buy now and think later.

You agree to that when you join OzBargain.

      • +1

I prefer to not spend if in doubt, I have more money that way.

  • Any other alternatives at this price? Thanks guys…

  • +6

    Great deal TA :).

PS. I'll watch your arse anytime =).

  • +1

I should probably buy one of these one day. I love my enduring (touchwood) Casio Protrek and prefer digital face, but every so often there'll be that formal occasion like a wedding where I should be wearing something that looks a bit more … photogenic. (Usually just end up not wearing a watch those days)

Although the growing popularity of smart watches, maybe it won't matter soon since most are the square blocky style anyway.

    • +1

the growing popularity of smart watches

      Their popularity is shrinking though.

  • Thanks TA. This will be my first watch. Can't go wrong with $10 I guess.

  • +2

Would have liked the code to be ARSEONTIME

    • +3

Likely wouldn't be an accurate indication of shipping time though.

    • +4

      ARSEANYTIME

I reckon this will look pretty good on a NATO style strap. Maybe the James Bond blue/black one.

    • +6

Yes it does, see here, here & here on a Nato strap.

      • whats the best place to buy nato straps for the best price?

      • How hard is it to DIY for a first timer your own nato strap? or even like a leather or nicer strap as I find these cheaper watches tend to have more fashion style stitching that i woldn't mind making a little more upmarket looking to match the dial.

  • +4

…..whats so special about this watch?
im shure i can find a bunch of $10 watches on ebay and i would get a choice of colours…

    • +1

Yes you definitely can, but this watch has been purchased by lots of Watchuseek members and Ozbargainers with very little negative feedback. It also looks good.

    • +1

      In short, reliability.

    • +10

The styling is a blatant ripoff of the 10 times more expensive Citizen AW1361-01E Eco Drive. This watch doesn't use an Eco Drive movement but uses a Miyota 2115 movement that is found in more expensive watches than $10.

      • sure

    Got one. Thanks again TA.

  • Just bought one. I didn't think I'll need another watch but for the style and reviews and of course price this doesn't hurt to have.

  • +1

Just bought my second watch ever; I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me… Thank ye kindly :)

  • +1

Got one! Thanks TA. Anyone ever bought from this shop though? My WOT plugin was telling me it was a scam site lol

    • +2

has purchased from this site b4. delivery takes a while but u get ur item

  • +7

I just found the Citizen watch that this pays homage to for a great price @AreaTrend eBay -
    Citizen Eco-Drive AW1360-04E US$77.99 + $12.99 shipping - $3.90 = US$87.08 (~AU$113.50)
Use Code - PULL5 to get this price. Limited stock so can't post it.

    • +1
    • What is the difference between Citizen AW1361-01E and Citizen AW1360-04E?? They look the same and Naviforce 9044 is the copy of them.

  • Does anyone know how is battery quality of this watch? I am just curious as it won't be even worth changing its battery later when the watch itself is bought at this price. Chinese made low-end watches often struggle with battery quality.

    • +1

Not really sure what you mean by "not worth changing its battery later". A battery only costs $1-2, and you change it yourself.

      • I guess standard ones are $5+.. isn't it?

Anyway, you wouldn't want battery running only for 6 months just because it was a cheap watch.

        • I think these run on sr626sw batteries but I'm not too sure as I have not received the watch yet. From what i remember, you can grab a few batteries off ebay for around $1-2 each. I got a few of the Renata batteries off ebay and replaced an old battery on my watch. Its been running for around 1.5 years now on that new battery so its not too bad if you have to replace new batteries yourself if the batteries with these watches are bad.

        • @tomochin1991:
Did you find it difficult to remove the back of watch to replace the battery? I am asking because I don't have the tool that I see my watch shop use.

        • +2

@Apsley: I have one of those watch back opener things which i got off ebay. They work pretty well and I've opened my watches with them. They cost around $10 or something. Replacing the batteries on watches are quite simple, you can usually find a video on youtube as well if you're unsure on how to do it.

        • @tomochin1991:
          Thank you

        • @WatchNerd:
          Thank you

        • @tomochin1991: got my set for $15 with lots of other tools in it and have replaced 3 batteries already..different types of case backs too

        • @obiwan:
          Thank you

  • +2

Thanks TA, looking forward to a possible re-run with the black colour option.

  • Thanks TA. Got my first Naviforce

  • I am wearing the last WatchNerd one I bought last time. Good on ya TA

  • Yep, got one. Didn't need it. I feel unclean now.

  • Got one as well. Let this be the official ozb watch. Come say hello if you see people wearing it ;)

    • Is the proper greeting phrase "join usssss…"

  • +1

thanks OP, buying a second one now… am about to go through the citizens from PJC as well

    • How has been your experience with the first one?

      • +1

I like it, cant go wrong with $10 and I actually paid $12 for mine…it does not look like a $10 watch…the japanese movement alone is reason enough…

  • +1

Is this brown strap with the silver or black casing? I really like the black casing much more than the silver casing

  • +1

I’m getting a “coupon code valid for $50+ orders only” error. Does that mean it’s run out?

  • Any one know of this is the japanese movement one mentioned in some of those links?? Or which movement they would be selling

    • Hmm well the website says Miyota 2335 yet the watchuseek linked above mentions miyota 2115 movement so not too sure what's right or wrong. Also wonder how one knows if it's a genuine movement and not just a rip off i.e. they could have just initialled the movement # on there to seem more upper class? Wouldn't be the last thing ripof products from CHina have done… just curious that's all.

  • Purchased! Thanks Tightarse.

  • When i applied Coupon its saying subtotal should be more than $50. Then only the code works

  • Thank OP. Got one. Waiting for a deal with the black color

  • +1

These are excellent, I bought one for ~$11 last year from Zapals and after it (finally!) arrived, i was pleasantly surprised that it was durable, reliable and stylish enough to perform well day after day for 10-14 hours at work (desk job). Hasn't scratched up and hasnt lost time, and still really enjoy looking at it.

Edit: bought another as a gift.. haha. Thanks TA

Is this a secret uniform code for all OZB-ers?
Next time I see people wearing this watch I will point my right index finger up my arse cheek while eating some chicken wing.

  • I ordered yesterday, but got a refund today with no explanation. I am not sure if it was due to no stock or similar to gearbest dodgy practice.

    • Must be due to no stock. I haven't received my refund yet.

      • I contacted the support and they said they refunded due to a non-receipt claim in my account. I think it was due to my paypal claim for a non-receipt of an item from another store.

  • +1

Does anyone know where to find a hole-maker in a leather watch strap? I am sure the repairers would take $10+ even to make a single hole.

    • This is good for belts, too.

      • +1

        Thanks! This really helps.

  • +2

Opened this Naviforce and movement said "S Epson" and the battery was a Maxell Japan…the battery alone is worth $4 and should last at least 1 year. it is very easy to open it an replace it yourself when the time comes..

  • Just got mine today in the post. Man this is such a nice watch for the price. If it had Seiko or Citizen on it and it was 200 I would be just as happy, albeit poorer.

    • +1

Glad you like it. Don't forget to upvote.

  • +1

So I still haven't received my watch and DPEX shipping mentions that it is in Sydney Process and Clearing. How long after that did you receive your parcel? I am finding DPEX to be the worst to deal with.

    • +1

I still haven't received mine yet either. Last update on the malaysian post office tracker was that it arrived in Australia on the 7th of April

      • Same here

        • Same here. Arrived yesterday, picked up today.

Bought this despite not wearing a watch for 20 odd years and I gotta say, I love it. Looks great and so comfortable I forget it's on. I stopped wearing one mostly because of the feeling of them but this one just fits. Can't believe it was just $10.

        • @Nolonger A Lurker: Received it a couple of days back. The strap/belt is quite hard - I guess it will soften up with the use. Watch looks good though. There's no quick way to change to date - you need to rotate the crown number of days x 2 times to arrive at the desired date.

  • Just got mine. Anyone know how to adjust the date window? Can't seem to adjust it.

    • I have also noticed, the one I got does not say Japan Movt. Does this mean it's fake?

    • +1

Pull the crown out one click and then adjust it. It is a easy to miss and pull out all the way.

      • Thank you! Had to spin in the other way as well. Didn't realize I can't do it backwards.

      • Are you sure pulling the crown out one click works for date? I failed to do it that way so pulled it out two clicks and rotated it zillion times (2 x number of days) to reach the desired date. :(

        • Yeah it works but it's a bit tricky. Took me a couple of attempts.

  • +1

Mine arrived today. Yet to set it up but all looks good. Many thanks OP, the venerable, legendary TA

  • Got mine arrived today. Looks great. It's quite funny because mine was labelled as a 'Sports Bra'…hmm…

    • +2

Same here, my “sports bra” just arrived from Malaysia… lmao
