They also offered 340 for RXV 367, but the sales said it's not good if you want to hook up blue ray player.

    yeah that's strange. maybe they want to make a profit to cover the free shipping? It can't be cheap to send those big boxes out. If you can get to a store they should give you $220. If not and you live in the country I'd still be happy to pay $249 and get these suckers delivered to my door.

    @ Jules …. I don't think you have too much to be disapointed about….no one actually got them for $220 delivered. I asked the call center to sell them to me for $220 if I picked them up. They said no.
    
    I ended up getting them to the ajoining retial store for $220.
    
    The Speaker box weights 24KG and the Sub weighs 16KG …. $30 delivery to Ballerat for this size package (40KG) is amazing value!!

Hi guys

I ordered one of these about two days ago.. and finally realised that I also need a receiver.

Did abit of googling .. and found a Sony STRDH700 7.1 Channel Full HD Receiver. I kinda wanna keep everything Sony (instead of Yamaha as suggested above) to avoid any complications.

Anyone has any comments how this Sony receiver would go with this Sony speaker system? I.e., is it suitable? Too powerful for this speaker system or not powerful enough?

Also Kridp, does BL stock this and how much for? I found a price on the internet for under $400. If available (and with a good price), I will probably add it to my order :)

    Got my Sub-woofer too minus the speakers, hopefully the speakers are at local post office as the Sub-woofer was, neither my old man or the staff at post office bothered to look at the Eparcel label which said 2 of 2…my local post office is shocking and Aust Post in general is below par (in my area), the Subby box is damaged, hopefully the Subby is fine, I work with Aust post on the day to day basis and every day I see busted up items coming in, items being dropped by their staff in front of me, I wouldn't use them for any expensive or fragile items. (BTW I work in a Goods reception that handles bulk and courier for 4 buildings in Melbourne CBD so I have some idea what I'm talking about).

Now that you have sold us the car body (i.e., speakers) at a great price … any chance that some time soon you will sell us the engine (i.e., receiver) at a great price too?

Otherwise, i believe that a lot of us will be left hanging dry (a great looking car that can't move and simply taking up storage space) :) We look forward to seeing some awesome deals on the receivers soon … Personally .. Sony receivers would be nice (e.g., DH700 or DH810 (which you currently stock)).

Just unpacked the speakers. Sub woofer box was banged up but seems to be working fine. Speakers look awesome. Small ones are nice and heavy. Sound is great (can't turn it up too loud due to sleeping child :P). $1500 is probably not a huge stretch and I can see some wealthier people throwing that money at them. For $500 would probably still be worth it. For $250 it's an absolute bargain! Thanks Kridp!

I still haven't received mine after ordering at the end of last year, after being assured they had been shipped a number of times I've found out now that they won't be dispatched till next week sometime. I guess it gives me more time to look for a receiver. Anyone else in the same situation?

  I at least received my subwoofer on the 11th but like others didnt get the bigger box which holds the speakers - both parcels had manifest accepted on the 5th but my speaker box hasn't budged from that status - seeing I'm up in Rocky I did expect a delay with all the recent flooding events in SEQ but was hoping I'd have them for the weekend but it was just not meant to be - hopefully next week sometime :-(

  Maybe this info is too late, I am looking to buy the receiver/amps from the US. They are cheap as chips in the US. Just need to find a receiver with a voltage selector. That way, you dont need a voltage transformer.
  
  E.g., Sony STR-DH810 sells for about $280 on eBay in the US. And Bing Lee sells for about $840!!! Yeah sure, I tried negotiating with them, they drop it to about $750 MAX!! I laughed as my local JB Hifi store has it at that price.. and even sony center has it at that price.
  
  Shipping from the US costs about $120. But still its $400 total (with shipping) from the US compared to about $750 bing lee (without shipping)!

  Bing Lee's "absolute best" price for a 667 Yamaha amp was $830 (!?!) JB Hi Fi and Hardly's are both selling for the late 600 dollar mark. So it seems that Bing Lee is suffering from "bargain fatigue".
  Though the deal on the speakers is phenomenal and they sound great, so not complaining too much.

I ordered this the day it was mentioned here on ozbargain (29th Dec) but haven't seen or heard anything from Bing Lee yet and this is my first time dealing with them, how long should I expect to be waiting , getting a bit concerned.

  I ordered mine on the 31/12/10, am in Melbourne, and still haven't received the speakers either. I've contacted them a number of times, their response has varied — at one stage they stated they were shipped on the 5/1/11, when they didn't come I called back and was told they hadn't been shipped yet at all (!), the latest is that they were shipped on the 15/1/11. So it may be worth giving them a call or chat online to see what they say — if you do ask for a tracking no. with australia post as that will tell you the "truth" — i.e if they have actually been shipped or not. If they do give you a tracking no. you can go to aus. post website and punch it in to see where they are. They couldn't provide me with a tracking no. this morning so I suspect mine still haven't been shipped out. The speakers are sold out now on their website. Longest delivery time I have had it my limited online shopping experiences, in comparison I got the harmony 600 remote from logitech shop —- ordered Friday, received Monday Morning with lots of emails about shipping and tracking confirmations etc. Deal or no deal, 3 weeks with no contact is poor customer service in my opinion.

      Sorry about the poor experience. I will be talking to the guys today and relaying this message to them. We did have issues with Aussie post and whilst this is no excuse for poor customer service we were heavily reliant on them to meet their end of the bargain.
      We wont be using them for this type of promo in the future

Purchased 02-01-11, Same issue here I have been tracking via Aust post as requested via BingLee I received sub woofer on the 12/01/11 both speaker and sub box lodged on the 5th speakers still showing as manifest received at sydney bulk mail centre and they have not gone any further than this when I spoke with Aust post was told speakers are undeliverable what ever this means was told I have to ring binglee to reorganise shipment.
Have since done this and have been advised they are trying to fix the issue, I have had to keep ringing to be advised they are trying to still fix the problem accounts manager is in contact with aust post but in saying this I need to ring again as shipment on aust post is still showing same status 8-( from Monday to today being Thursday.
Refer undeliverable we have had someone at home due to kids being on holidays so this is not the reason

  Same here got my sub on 11/01 but there are issues with my speaker box it hadnt budged from manifest accepted (5/01) until recently with a comment to call AusPost on the 19/01 and they just told me that BingLee had lodged an investigation in to the whereabouts of the parcel (2 days after Nathan at BingLee told me that their manager was lodging it that day 17/01) … I hope it gets sorted soon and i have the rest of my speaker package. This will be my last dealing with BingLee - I feel there could have been a significant increase in communication to keep the customer informed of any complications, and quite frankly I was getting the whole "smoke and mirrors" treatment and the story kept changing… it is unfortunate such a great deal has been tarnished by this :-(

    Well Im stunned (and mecha happy) as I just got an alert from AusPost tracking system that as of 6:57 this morning my speaker parcel is "On board with driver for delivery" in my area… thankfully i have worked up some hours at work as I'm going to leave really early today - now I just hope the contents of the parcel is in pristine working order and not water damaged :-P
