  • How is this a deal?

    • -1

      Good question. Can’t see how this is a deal and it is targeted. Wireless services like this are also crap for gaming, ping might be ok but lots of dropped packets resulting in lag. Will wait for NBN

      • Never had a issue like you describe I guess you do not use it

        I cancelled nbn after using it

        • Used at friends and we tried playing overwatch and CS:GO to find our characters jumping all over the place. We tried calling Uniti’s customer service but they were closed on Sundays. Speed test was OK so we tried a ping and found the dropped packets. Wireless technology like this has no comparison to fibre and requires an ugly antenna on your roof. They are fine for watching Netflix but if you want to have fun gaming I would give them a miss. First person shooters require a constant connection that wireless service cannot provide. Nuskope was just in the news because they were purchased by a bigger company so maybe they have a better service then Uniti. If all you play is World of Warcraft you are probably OK.

          And how is this a deal and not targeted?

          @Colver:

          Not sure where your conclusion comes from, but uniti is quite good.

          Ping statistics for 129.127.149.1:
          Packets: Sent = 43, Received = 43, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
          Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
          Minimum = 27ms, Maximum = 54ms, Average = 32ms

          @jjj123: Maybe they have fixed the network since I last used it but I cant see how they could fix the dropped packets issues entirely with wireless technology. When I used Uniti it was bad. Leave the ping running for 10 minutes and let’s see the results? Run one on a windy/rainy night and see how bad it gets!

          It’s clearly targeted “for Existing and Referred Customer”

        Uniti and Nuskope are anything but crap.

        Clearly don't use it.

        • Have you used Uniti before to support your statement?

        • @jjj123:
          With Nuskope. They are quite good, and Uniti also has an excellent reputation.

      • it is not targeted, the $200 deal is for every new customer.

    • Hi, you can get your Uniti Wireless $200 discount upon signup if you use a referral code. Message me to get the referral code. Uniti Wireless provide a great service. I have the 50 Mbps plan and the lowest speed I get in peak times is around 42 Mbps. Highly recommended! Puts ADSL to shame and if NBN is not an option for you this is a no-brainer really. Cheers

      p.s. I have no affiliation with Uniti Wireless except being a very happy customer. Cheers.
