      C'mon man. Don't you know, it's their suppliers!

    • jackers gotta jack

    • Perhaps we should refer to it as 'Price Pumping'

    I would have bought, but as everyone has pointed out of price jacking makes me think otherwise… >.>

  • Even its jacked its still discounted i think? Can someone compute the market price of this spec?

      Save $20 and have the joy of building it yourself.
      Market Price is $1560.50.
      That doesn't include the OS but neither does the 'deal' above

        <sarcasm>

        PC Byte is only making $20 on this deal, and then have to pay eBay & PayPal fees out of that $20. It was pinning its hope on eBay's 20% discount promo to drum up cashflow for April.

        Curses! Every time eBay runs the promo, its suppliers coincidentally increased the wholesale prices. How can PC Byte survive? This is a miracle that it is still in business. Poor PC Byte.

        </sarcasm>

      • You are saving a lot of money on that cheapo SSD. We don't know what NVMe SSD PCbyte is using but even the cheap (and bad) Intel NVMe SSD is still faster than WD Green (although even SATA III Samsung EVO 850 or old Crucial MX300 would still be faster).

  • suggest look at new amd cpu and motherboard next week and then take it from there.

    2600x roughly par with 7700k so they say…..

  • I bought a Acer predator 17` lappy with better specs, for similar money 9 months ago. Does that deal exist anywhere. Need to get another for the kids…

    I5 was this one. Is anything better or same out there for same money.

      Your lappy is probably the i7-6700HQ and GTX 1070 which does not compete with this. That was the deal for $1550ish I can remember. There is no GTX 1080 lappy at this price point.

      To break it down for you i5-8400 beats the i7-6700hq easily. Both are locked multiplier but i5 is 6 cores 6 threads with higher boost. It beats your i7 in both single and multithread. GTX 1070 Ti is equal or better the GTX 1080 in lappy, only lose out to desktop 1080 due to thermal and tdp of lappy. GTX 1070 lappy is slower by min 20%.

  • What is the best case from the list?
