how do you get the $50 voucher from ebay?

      • +2

Check eBay listings people selling $50 Kogan voucher for $10.84. voucher valid for minimum purchase of $120.

        • (profanity) me that's the bigger deal right there! All these unused codes I've been ignoring I can list on eBay!

      • search $50 Kogan

    • Can you please share a link to the product. Thanks

      • +1

        Kogan Link here

Note that it's import from HK.

Also requires new Kogan account for $10 off referral and you need to have the 2 month Shipster trial for free delivery, otherwise it's $9 delivery.

          And not m.2 of course.

        • Create new account with your own invite code & make that even $10 cheaper.

@bargainhunter: that was my initial doubt too, hence the reason I asked for the link.

    • Cheers :)

    • This is a winning price, but once you have gone to M.2 it's really hard to go back to using cables to connect drives. It just feels primitive. I don't know I can go back to drives that don't connect straight to the motherboard.

    • Wow, seems like there should be more Kogan Tech deals then, if we can easily get -$50~ for lots of deals.
      Nice find!

This is mainly a winner due to m.2. If you don't care about m.2, get a normal 2.5" ssd, they can be had for $150 range when there's a good deal.

    • Not sure why i'm getting downvoted - the 2.5" version of this exact ssd is cheaper (when you find a deal). I posted this deal because i'd been searching for an m.2. 500gb for sub $200 for a long time and finally found one…

      • Where was this deal that you found? I could find only one OzB deal for the 2.5" 500GB 850 EVO below A$150 and that's a refurb from the US: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/366502

        • Enjoyyy just posted above for $145…

If you just want sata ssd (not 850 evo) then theres mx500, mx300 etc for $160~ from amazon (not on sale). If you find a sale it will be less than $150.

@aong152: There is no warranty from Samsung Australia for imported SSDs. You are giving up 4 years of manufacturer's warranty buying from Kogan HK. And that refurb deal only had a 30-day warranty.

  • Get a SATA PRO over a M.2. EVO.

The reliability is far more important than the superficial speed increase.

Just keep in mind this is a SATA III SSD in a M.2 package. Not a "true" nvme M.2
I cant see this being notably faster than a sata connected SSD.
The only real plus here is you just plug it straight into your board as opposed to running power and sata leads to it.
