  • 你好 is back on Ozb !!!

    • It's a great feature for customers who need help setting up internet but may not be the best at speaking English :)

  • Congestion alert

We have invested heavily in our network to ensure a smooth and satisfying experience. We reduce expenses by leveraging assets of our DreamIT Host. This means we don't have to spend as much on support, staffing & transit cost. There are many factors involved which may impact speeds such as Hardware, wifi coverage & type, and source of content being downloaded.

      • I'm a customer and I'm getting congestion very consistently every night, between 8pm and 1am. My internet slows down to almost a crawl, but speedtests using their own "recommended" websites show no slowdown at all! It's a miracle!

  • How long to churn with HFC?

    • For HFC, you'll need to cancel with your existing provider and once the line is free, we'll submit an order. This takes about 8-12 hours and normally done in late night.

  • It would be awesome price for us if you could include the modem as well for $74.95.

    • +1

Ahh that’s why we offer the choice of a BYO modem

  • I was connected a week ago at $79.95, any chance I can be put on this new plan?

"If you're an existing customer, please raise a ticket from My Mungi and we'll get your plan changed for you."

Pays to read huh? My bad, thanks!

        • Glad to hear you got it sorted :)

    Do you provide static IP?
And is there cost to it or is it offered for free during the promotion?

    • Hi there,

You're welcome to add a static IP to your account for only $9.95 per month. This will be reduced in the coming months.

  • NBN will be in my area in June. Can I pre order this deal?

    • Same Here, I'm waiting for the NBN to be completed, currently build in progress, expected April - June, does it take long to change over to the NBN or does it take weeks or months?

    • You sure can!

Once nbn is ready, we'll submit the order to nbn and we'll adjust your billing cycle.

For any reason you decided you want a refund, we'll organise that with no hassles :)

  • So you have 2 tiers a turbo and a normal. Any information about how many customers per MBit for each tier, or a guaranteed minimum speed? Because without something to go on, I have to assume that the normal tier is pretty bad during peak times.

    • Most customers tend to get quite decent speeds, 60-70 with the standard plans.

It really depends on your type of nbn connection, equipment and WiFI

      • I currently have optus nbn and get 40/11 on fttn. I know that won't change. My concern is about congestion and how much bandwidth per customer you have set aside from my POI to the internet and peers. Do you have stats about your backhauls from POIs and whether they get maxed out and what minimum speeds and latency I will get during peak times? For both the low and high tiers?

        • We keep a very close eye on our CVC and transit to ensure a great experience.

You would normally get around 20-35 during peak hours.

Turbo is mainly for FTTP customers :)

  • Same situation. Signed up 2 weeks ago, $79.95 for Lightning 100. Ticket raised. Let the wait begins.

    • No issues! One of the guys will action your request

      • Ticket closed. Plan switched. Well done Mungi

  • Do you have routers in Perth or will my data route through Sydney?

    • Our L2 network will launch with a POP in Melbourne and Sydney. Perth will be coming next in July

  • I am with Aussie Broadband. Can I reuse the Netcomm modem that I got from them?

Whats the process of transferring to Mungi from ABB? How long is the process?

    • +1

Yeah you can, no issues at all :)

Once you've signed up, it takes about 4-12 hours to get you online

      • How much is the rate for 100mbps if i dont need a new modem? Thanks.

        • It's $74.965 with $0 setup and no contract :)

  • I'm about to move into a new rental on Friday and looking for a new provider, how long would it take for the internet to be connected if I already have my own modem?

    • If there was nbn already, should be about 4-12 hours otherwise we'll book an appointment which is about 5-8 business days :)

      • Okay cool when I sign up will it check if there was NBN already signed up by the last tenant? Thanks :)

  • Hi,

i live in adelaide and currently have fttn with optus on their 100/40 plan…

would you expect i would notice any difference with your service?? my standard speed seems to be 57/30 or thereabouts…

can i use the modem optus provided or is that locked to their service??

    regards

    • +1

      Hi Jimmy,

You will notice a huge difference especially in the level of customer service :)

DO you know your current DSL sync speed?

You can try using your Optus modem however they are normally locked.

      • i'm not surprised you're confident of providing a better service, that wouldn't be hard, hence why i'm looking to move…

i can't work out the dsl sync speed…i've logged into the modem but can't find that reading, assuming it's there??

i've got 2 teenage boys both playing ps4 while facetiming their friends while steaming a movie on netflix and watching youtube at the same time, or so it seems :)

then there's whatever my wife and i use on top…

we don't have any problems with optus at the moment but they're just such douche bags and i've had enough of them, but obviously i want the internet to work…

we've got a large single story house will that modem you're selling do the trick??

        appreciate your assistance…

        cheers

        • +1

If it's a single story house, should be fine. As long as there are no obstructions. We provision substantially more CVC than Optus and our IP transit routes are much better

        • @MungiDreamIT: thanks for getting back to me…will sort something out this week…

i was part of the dodgy optus deal where they promised speeds they couldn't provide…as such i've been offered a compensation payment and i can cancel my contract early…once i've worked out what i have to do with them i'll be in contact…

          thanks

        • @jimmy coona:

No worries, all the best :)

  • No bull ****

= higher standard of transparency, at least that's how I interpret it.

So do note, for the time being Mungi is still using Vocus for the NBN backhaul. (As stated by the Rep's OP here)

We're currently on Vocus L3, however, our L2 network is being prepared for launch. We'll be using IP transit from Colocation Australia who peers with over 1000 networks. We expect to have one of, if not the best international transit out of any other provider. We'll be peering directly with Telstra Global, AAPT, Telia, Level 3, Cogent, GTT and NTT. We primarily use Nokia for our BNG's with Juniper MX routing and EX switching. Our L2 network is due to launch closer towards the end of this month.

Props for the multiple customer support channels though.

    • +1

Cheers for the feedback, our L2 network will be launching soon :)

  • Hello,

What is the change over time if I am already on NBN HFC at the moment with another provider? Also like to know if TP-Link Archer D9 will work on your network or not?

    Cheers,
    Yots.

  • Hey there

It takes about 5-8 business days to get you connected. FTTP and FW services take about 4-12 business hours. If you place an order, your service won't be disconnected and won't have downtime.

    Yes it will work fine

  • Rep Telecube say they are able to Fast Churn me even though I'm on HFC because I'm with MyRepublic and in Melbourne.

They say I don't need to cancel with MyRepublic and it will take about 24hrs.

Do you have a similar HFC Fast Churn for MyRepublic HFC users in Melbourne??

    • We do not have something similar however if you cancel with My Republic, we can get you back online over 4-24 hours :)

      • But if you don't have a Fast Churn arrangement and I have to cancel MyRepublic first and wait for the port to clear before ordering your new service, the expected downtime will be 1 - 2 weeks won't it???

        • You will have to cancel first, but you shouldn’t have more than 48 hours downtime at most :)

  • Hi Rep, I am a Buzz Telco fttn customer from Newcastle and want to transfer to Mungi LIGHTNING 50. How long do you think it would take to changeover? Would there be a long downtime? Thanks

    • It takes about 3-8 business days to get you connected. FTTP and FW services take about 4-12 business hours. If you place an order, your service won't be disconnected and won't have downtime. We've made special arrangements for Mungi customers to ensure you won't have any disconnections.

Jump on chat as we're online today :)

  • been thinking of changing from telstra. currently on an old 100/40 plan unlimited which im paying $140 a month….

can i get 2 of these and combine them for 200/40 with my own hardware? on fttp

speed test at 8.50 pm adel time, shows 95/35

    • +1

Yeah that's possible however you'll need your own equipment and guides

      • Thanks mate

Pretty have so far. Both connection set up in about 4 hours from time of signing up.

Currently hitting 165/60 on load balancing.

        Top notch customer service
